    Yes, my poor cat stopped eating. I never thought a cat would starve themselves. She developed jaundice and almost died, lost a lot of weight. My husband and I had to force feed her for 3 months on high calorie food from the vet. She amazing healed and got better and is alive and fat again. We are so happy she didn't die but thrilled we don't have to force feed her anymore.

      I have been thinking that it means like including some overt fats and dry starches like bread, on a B diet. Excluding those for an A diet and making sure to eat lotsa vegetables. And totally SOS free plus adding lotsa sallad daily along with the vegetables to make it A+.
      Not sure if DL explained it like this though or if I just assumed it for some reason.
      When I had a session with him he said it seemed like I needed to have a A+ diet, and in my case it meant adding lotsa salad daily since I already ate no dried starch, lotsa vegetables and no overt fats.

    Had a huge Aha moment when Dr Lisle talked about diet going over time, rather than by day. That goes a long way to explaining why supplements are unnecessary and RDA is only a guideline.

    What about the blue zones, they have very small cancer rates, and we know that when people from these areas move to westernised countries and start eating junk food, their chances of getting cancer become much higher.

    ??? Chef AJ your calorie density chart: the number of calories per pound, are you referring to raw food per pound or cooked food per pound? Or is the difference is not significant? Thanks!

    Where do we send our questions too? 2 weeks ago I wrote a list of my anorexia related questions that I wanted to send to DDL, he is soooo right - yep HCNC and just trying to quieten it is key....... and that is why some of us struggle on and off over 25 years! bwwaarrrhahahaaaa, yep - lost count of the number of therapist who basically say I'm "too hard" and they let me go....
    And yes, many many of us 'live' with the anorexia by just constantly under-eating just enough to not recover but also it's not low enough to kill us! And gosh tube feeding is just AWFUL....... we learn early in our struggle to eat just enough to not end up being tubed. I have been "running" a little experiment (as he says) to stop weighing food since your fabulous session with him about stop weighing. It's been 2 months now and I haven't weighed a thing! I suddenly feel so free...... but it doesn't change my head fear of weight gain! haha
    Honestly, is there ANYTHING that this wonderful Doctor doesn't understand?!? He is genuinely just AMAZING!!!!!!!

    • @theartificialsociety3373

      Sandy Ⓥ so is it that you are afraid you will gain too much weight? So why are you not more concerned about being within the ideal weight range and having the ideal amount of body fat range? Plus, the ideal body weight range is really not a correct concept because it is actually all about eating the correct types of food such that you have a stocky robustness. For ladies, it is best to be a little chunky, but you should eat the healthy foods.

      @@susandurandstone4278 I had looked into it - I emailed him and he said one session is rarely worth it for those who suffer from anorexia.......... and sadly a little out of our price range for regular consults. I loved his honesty though - what a genuine person! :-)

      @@theartificialsociety3373 why do you say women should be chunky?

    • @theartificialsociety3373
      @theartificialsociety3373 3 роки тому

      Darlene D Rivera robust stockiness or a little chunkiness is what proved to be the maximum longevity in mice experiments when the optimum diet is utilized which was low protein, low fat, high carbohydrate. If bad diet then that was not the case and caloric restriction was beneficial but still results in shorter lifespan. Healthy diet is the key.

    Can somebody please please tell me where exactly DDL talks about what the A+, A, B+ etc diets consist of.
    Thank you Chef AJ for another great interview!!

    • @theartificialsociety3373
      @theartificialsociety3373 3 роки тому +1

      Just read The Starch Solution or any of Dr McDougall books. That is the A, A+. B is any degree of cheating from the healthiest foods. The lower the grade the greater the cheating. There is no defined measure on grades. That is something you will have to figure out on your own. But if you were to cheat, the best cheats are vegan desserts with fruit or nuts. But you should stick to all whole plant foods without oil.

    • @fuzzfriendly
      @fuzzfriendly 3 роки тому

      @@theartificialsociety3373 Hmmm. I'm pretty sure I remember DDL describing quite in detail what the B+ stands for. Maybe it was in the BYG podcast. I'm just not sure where certain stuff fits. Like pasta, tofu, almond milk, almond butter ... From what I remember he spoke about pretty clear cuts between A- and B+ diet, but I may be wrong and it's like you said, more up to the person.

    Well the reality is that very few vegans get their protein low enough to really test the cancer scenario suggested by Dr Campbell. Beans have a lot of protein. Keep your protein low.

    Overweight people don't look pregnant, they look overweight. And being overweight is associated with increased risks for all kinds of complications during pregnancy and birth which is why males are repelled by excess weight cause after all sexual attraction has the function of ensuring the best possible mate for reproduction.
