I got this game cause it pretty fun when I went through the tutorial, but the issue now is the fact it's now a dead ass game and the trying to find anyone is painful (I can not find anyone), none of my friends has the game (they're not star trek fans). I always wanted a experience like this, but I can't now since I literally don't have anyone to share it with

Great review. I might give this game a try. Did you play a game called"Star Trek Bridge Commander"? It's an old one for the PC, came out in 2003 but Patrick Stewart lent his voice to it. Good enough game too.

I bought a physical copy of the game a few years ago but it is still sealed and it says "VR Required" but I have yet to get a PSVR. Is the Non-VR option a new patch/update to ALL copies of game, or do you need the new disc/download to play non-VR?

No just Pop the disc in and it gives you the option of playing with or without VR when it loads up.

At 2:15 you said if you play solo you can choose who you want to be. But you can’t choose. You are just captain

No you can directly control any station on the bridge even in single player. Although it doesn't make sense staying at one station throughout granted.

Absolutely no need for a VR headset at all, when it loads up it asks if you want to use VR or not.
