I personally respect the Sidekick because I find it to be *good* in most major areas: - *Good* variety of tools; - *Good* usability (how well the tools perform their intended function); - *Good* sturdiness (for a tool of its size); - (more than) *Good* portability thanks to its pocket clip; - *Good* warranty; Considering the price of everything nowadays, I also think that it has *good* affordability. Concerning usability, the file/ruler and serrated blade are short, but I still find them handy when filing burrs off of cut metal, when measuring nuts and bolts and when cutting rope.
Please could you tell or show me how the screwdrivers close? I've got them both to open, and lock open but I cannot for the life of me work out how shut them down again. Thank you
@lucyiliffe1799 you might need to use pb blaster and or wd40 or clp to get then to move. Screws might tightend on them. They dont hard lock but may be over tightend.

The side kick; when the plier handles are squeezed the very tip of the pliers becomes a # 2 Robertson screwdriver tip (square)
Excellent review! I keep a Sidekick paired w a Vic Compact in my truck as backups. 👍👍
excellent combo!
Just a small correction, the Wingman has no lanyard hole and does have the package opener.
There's no lanyard ring on the Leatherman wingman 😅😅
Awesome tool Thank you for the tag!
thanks rich. getting your name out there!
@@TheFossilChannel Thank you!
Great companion tool
Thanks my friend! I couldn't opened the small tools😂 ..now i now!
Great video.
How come nobody notices that the lanyard loop works with the wire stripper?? It actually works fantastic I do a lot of electrical work.
Thats a good thing! Thanks for pointing that out
Package opener at the Rev is useless in my opinion, there are enough other tools to open a package with. The value of a saw is so much higher.
Agreed
But the value of sciccors is even higher than a saw, that's why the Wingman takes the cake between the Rev, Wingman & Sidekick.
That depends. I use a victorinox that has scissors and saw and find them both useful
Great review/thumbs UP! Love mine - a great MT for camp and trail.
thanks! whats you most used tool on this ?
@@TheFossilChannel the straight blade for sure, and I would estimate that followed by pliers, and then the saw. The other tools don't see much play.
i use the saw and drivers a quite a bit and the knife too. pliers as well
Hi! They used to come with a carbine. And now they don't?
What's best way to sharpen main blade?

I love my Sidekick, except for that big flathead screwdriver. It’s too thick.
Yes. Though it doubles as a light duty pry bar. The depth gauge file has a smaller slotter tip but be careful not to apply too much force on the tip
Made in usa?
Probably not
Made in mexico i believe.
Leathermans are made in the USA
Good info, but please for the love of god get a pop shield or something to mask those mouth noises.
Do have the pop shield. Just the way my voice
