These are the videos that introduced me to Minecraft. It seems like this version of the game has for the most part been forgotten. It's odd seeing the old pigman, it's also weird how the ghast make no sounds. I'm glad they changed the name of the slip into the nether instead lol.
@oopsIdidasuper The red moss cobblestone thing burns forever. Which is great, because you don't need torches! But also, the ghasts' fireballs will set everything on fire too...
everybody, lightbrick(the yellow gold block) can be broken and harvested with anything, but the sword works best for some reason, doesnt matter what material u use

There's something jarring about stepping out of the portal into near silence except for the sound of explosions, and then seeing an unarmed pigman hopping towards you from the dark.
@EpicSX It doesn't mean anything, it's just ambience. It only shows up in dark areas, though, so it's sort of a clue that you might expect monsters to spawn.
@iTehAzn Not sure. I believe so. Mobs are seem to be working. I play on the Godcraft server. The mobs still have a couple of bugs tho, but this makes Notch another step closer to making Minecraft Beta. More bug fixes with the Halloween Update- another step to Beta. Correct me on any of this if I'm wrong about something.
Okay, those "ghosts" are actually called Ghasts. They are the largest mob in the game, and Notch himself has deemed them "unfair." They can be killed from a distance, but get more than one or two in a fight and you're better off running. Also, their fireballs can put out portals. D:
@TheAceBones Any water placed in The Nether will smoke and dissapear with the sound from lava. Exept hacked water blocks, ofc. Btw, anyone noticed that all that lava in the sea is stillava, not flowing? Thats alot of lava blocks!
That's actually just the old explosion sound, not a Ghast-specific sound. I actually kinda miss that sound, had more oomph to it in my opinion than the current one, though the old one wasn't perfect by any means
Nobody can get on minecraft website or download the update because of an overflow on the server. Give it a few hours and hopefully notch will have fixed the problem.
But how is this possible? The glass stuff doesn't come out as a whole block it comes out as a dust powder thing that u use to make the blocks.. Can somebody help me here?

I think the mortal enemy of the Ghast would be the snowball. I would also love the slime balls to be used to slow down an enemy
there should be kind of a boat made with materials from the slip that u can only use in the slip to navigate through lava

I think the red rock is really useful for when torches expire. It burns forever.

AFAIK, the code broke in the "Local Snerver" update, and was removed in 1.8.
the mod "fabrication" or "forgery" has it, they're both updated for 1.18

Notch could of changed the save file himself to give it infinite uses before giving them the save.
