Loved watching your unboxing, and congratulations on your book. I have one too, bought about 3 years ago for £4k. It's undoubtedly my pride and joy, and still a thrill to own one of the very first Harry Potter books ever put on a book shelf.

I heard the print runs were similar to the Bloomsbury ones, so they will only go up in value. Philosophers came out in 1998 by Ted Smart so a year later. Heard anything?
Where did you buy it from? Auction or dealer? Ted smart came out after first two print runs in UK it is worth money, maybe $500-1.5k depending on condition. The reason why Bloomsbury later editions are worth more than Ted smart because they were originally distributor of HP. I would love to talk more. I was thinking of buying the paper cover of prisoner of Azkaban first printing first edition how much do you think it is worth about? It is not in good condition but the price on eBay is for under $100 do you think I should buy it?
Tbh I wouldn’t invest in anything past chamber of secrets, reason being after chamber of secretes it was already such a huge hit that they printed large amounts of them. Even a great copy of azakaban isn’t worth more than 300/400 if first edition first state. Hope this helps!

Well there are multiple editions, but the rarest is first edition, first print meaning first print run of a first edition. The hardcover is the rarest as there were only 500 first edition first printings, my softcover is the second rarest, with around 5,000 first print copies. The second print run I believe was 10,000 or more, third print run 30k, so on so forth.
