In this video, SNU Physiotherapist, Jerikka, describes what snapping hip syndrome is, shows you an assessment to identify if you’re susceptible to SHS, and 2 simple exercises to help relieve your snapping hip.
If you're experiencing snapping hip syndrome or feel like you need our help with another condition you've been experiencing, give us a call or send us a DM so we can help 😊.
🚨Snapping hip syndrome can occur either internally or externally. External snapping hip syndrome is felt on the outside of the hip and is most commonly caused by a tight iliotibial (IT) band rolling over the femur and making a “snapping” noise during hip movement.
Athletes in high-mobility sports such as soccer and basketball, people with desk jobs and ttc drivers- due to prolonged sitting, are more likely to develop snapping hip syndrome.
With snapping hip syndrome, you may experience:
1️⃣ Snapping or popping in the front, side, or back of the hip when lifting, lowering, rotating, or swinging the leg
2️⃣ Weakness in the leg when trying to lift it forward or sideways
3️⃣ Tightness in the front, back, or side of the hip
4️⃣ Swelling in the front, back, or side of the hip
5️⃣ Difficulty performing daily activities, such as rising from a chair and walking
It’s often considered just a nuisance, but if left untreated the symptoms may get worse and lead to early-onset joint degeneration.

Both of my legs pop
It seems it works for a good few days and then after the clicking returns anyone got any advice?
consistency
Super baby ❤️💋
Problem is it hurts to do the exercise that you are suggesting to do.
Take it slow and focus on the stretches for a few weeks before trying to exercise.
Jolting a tight muscle like that is not great for it.

@@jakes-dev1337 Thanks for the tip 😊
clickbait
It’s even worst now
Can you speak a bit slower please?
There are subtitles in the middle of the screen so you could read along?
So which is it? Going way down is bad or not going all the way down?
Going all the way down means Ur not bad
