Thank you for this video. I may actually need this info. And thanks for not blabbering on about nuthin, like too many others do.
I'm signing up for more of this.
Thanks UltraVic! We try not to blab on 😂
Y'all have been great. We pick up our 21 on 30 July.
EVERYONE should watch your channel.
This 21 will be our first Escape, but our 5th RV.
GREAT advice you are giving.
Continued Success.
Cheers....The Fellas....Bob and Mark.
Hey Mark and Bob, thanks for watching! So glad to hear you like our advice :) You will LOVE your Escape!! Hope you can make it to the Escape Rally next year We had a blast!
So happy for you guys! How exciting. Happy trails! 🌺🏊🏼♀️🚣🏼♀️🧗🏼♂️
Thanks Annie!
Thanks for the great advice about picking up the new trailer. Our pickup appointment is set for 8:30, as well. Wow, what a bummer about the computers at the boarder being down for hours!
Thanks Sally, glad you like the video and picked the 8:30 am time frame!
Thank you for your information. I will be following you in the future.
Awesome, thank you!
Very helpful video, thank you, happy trails💚
Akfr0zen Thanks for watching!
Do you have a email address? Or fb page?
Im thinking about buying the 21! It will be my first trailer and have been looking all over for the right one and this one seems to be it! I also live in WA and was gonna head up there to actually look inside and ask some questions. Thanks for the great video!
I think you will LOVE it when you see it!! It has been absolutely wonderful to live and travel in!!
Than You, education was always a problem for me, how do you know what you don't know? Video's like this teaches me what I don't know!
Hi Annette, thanks for watching! We know by doing and watching others on UA-cam!!
Hi there, I dig your channel and am thankful for all the good info and advise....so I just got back home yesterday in California with my new Escape 5.0 and taking a closer look at it discovered that underneath the trailer there are only 2 h20 tanks, the fresh and the grey! All I can figure is that the black tank is directly under the raised floor in the bathroom which is inaccessible! Is yours set up that way? Neil
Hi Neil, thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment! You are correct in that the black tank is directly under the raised floor. In the 21C part of the tank is under the raised toilet platform and the rest of it sticks into the storage under the bed. Fortunately it only needs to be accessed to dump from the valves on the side!
@@AdventuresInNoMadness thanks Angie and Rhonda...that was the answer that I was hoping for...otherwise I was wondering if they forgot to install the black h20 tank. It does seem odd that the tank would be located in this manner, hopefully I will never have a problem with it as it is inaccessible! Are you still in Mexico? How's that going?
Go Hawks!
LOL...go Hawks! I guess i"m also a Broncos fan now too LOL
Enjoyed your video, very informative. We are picking up our 19er in August. We live in Washington as well, Yakima specifically. I think you said you managed to get your trailer license plates ahead of time. How did you do that?
It appears you need a stamped port of entry form (7501) to get the license and I cant figure out how to do that ahead of delivery. If I cant license ahead of time, I will plan to stop in Lynden and get it done there. Thanks, keep making fun videos
Hi Jeffrey, thanks for watching!! Sorry for the slow response, we've been in North Cascades NP for a while with no cell service. You will get a full packet of paperwork with the port of entry form from Escape. We took that form to our DMV and got the temporary tag. I think it was pure luck we got the license plate so fast. We figured it would be a few weeks. Congrats on the new upcoming trailer, you will love it!!!
Pet friendly floor:) in the hotel.
Thank you! My pickup date is August 23 (19'), and I'm anxious about the entire matter, including hauling a trailer which I have never done before. It really helps to know what to expect! You didn't mention having a brake controller installed, not by Escape, but by a nearby shop. If you do have a brake controller, what was your experience with installation?
Hello and thanks for watching! You will do great hauling the trailer, they tow like a dream! We had a previous travel trailer and had the brake controller installed a long time ago. We had it installed by Camping World which I wouldn't recommend. There should be rv shops/dealers that can install it for you.
Hi "SylvanCreekFarm" - We also pick up a 19'er on August 23. We may be classmates! Are you on the Escape Forum? I'd like to send you a PM.
@@suzyhallhoberecht1070 Please send the PM, but I won't know how to access it!
Still learning how to use this site!
Great video with useful information. I am working on my build sheet for a 19 now. One question I have about your 21 is does it have the lift kit option? Thanks in advance for info
Hey thanks for watching! We didn’t add the lift kit and so far haven’t needed it. We’ll be doing some boondocking in the near future but I don’t think we’ll be driving over anything really crazy that we would need the extra lift. If the axles themselves were lifted we may have considered it. Thanks for asking!
Fantastic videos on all aspect of your Escape 21 experience. Great advice. Thank you so much. My pickup date is 8/12. Will definitely do the AM pickup. Had planned to go back up to Chilliwack TT, Cultus Lake after hooking up for the shakedown cruise. Would you advise against that plan? La Conner was my alternate. Any feedback and advice on first night stay after taking possession is greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos!👍😀
Hey JH, sorry for the slow reply. We had terrible cell service and no wifi while in Osoyoos, BC for the Escape Rally. It's a tough question to answer because each TT has its pros and cons. The Cultus Lake sites are pretty close together. It's a packed in campground. We lucked out and got a spot right on the creek but it was 15 amp and no sewer connection. Almost all the other sites are full hook up and are 30 amp. The facilities as far as bathrooms, showers, clubhouse, and pool are way nicer than La Conner. There's a LOT to do in the area!! It's beautiful and there's tons of hiking and the lake is gorgeous. Where is your final destination? If La Conner is on the way it's a great place to stay. It does feel like a park and the spots are father apart from each other. The facilities, like we said in the video, are pretty worn down and there's not that many full hook up spots. We don't care ourselves about having a spot with a sewer connection as long as there's a dump station. La Conner and the surrounding area are really cool and also tons of things to do!! The campground is in a more beautiful spot than Cultus Lake. If you're going further south I would probably recommend La Conner. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions about these spots. You will LOVE your 21'!!!
Hey again, I just reread your comment on another video that you're going to So Cal. I would definitely recommend staying in La Conner on your way back over Cultus Lake. It's a gorgeous area!! Tons of hiking, great breweries, cute towns, and beautiful scenery from the campground.
@@AdventuresInNoMadness Hi Angie and Rhonda, thank you so much for taking the time to respond and keeping us newbies informed. Btw, 13/16" (21mm) and torque wrench, check! Thanks for the heads up on Chilliwack TT. Will plan for La Conner for the shakedown instead. Appreciate it. Hopefully I don't find any issues with the trailer and will just continue southbound. If not, La Conner to ETI is only 2 hours. Will have to buy you a beer or two if and when I run into you on the road. Name of my 21 will be "E Ticket". 8/12 delivery is soooooo far from now 😩😫😟
The problems you had going back to the US would have been due to US systems. You don't clear Canada Customs and Immigration outbound... only inbound.
Yep, it was quite a day!
Do you know any body that pulls the escape 21 with a Toyota Tacoma ? Thank you.
I don't personally but if you go to the Escape trailer Facebook page you'll see posts from people who have.
So you pay a Canadian tax and then a US tax?
Not exactly, we paid a $200 importation fee and a $500 tariff surcharge. Then we had to pay taxes in WA state.
Where did you cross? Map shows Huntingdon/Sumas as the closest to Chilliwack.
Hi Karen, we crossed at Sumas
