Thank you for doing this fun show 🎉
😃👍. Really cool group of music items, Brendon. Love it! - Heather
Very cool showing some Evildead!
Great haul of awesome hair sleaze albums.
That H.E.A.T album Force Majeure album is fantastic! It made it really high on my top 10 albums of 2022 list. I like it more than their previous albums, but all are good in their own way.
Honestly i just watch for your positivity, keep up the good work!
Thanks Steve! Glad to keep it positive!
Great pick ups:
This is what I got:
- 2 more Ivanhoe releases
- Tasmin Archer - Bloom
- Ray Charles - Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music
More shelf space needed ! Nice haul !
Omg, totally! I’m out of space and already looking for where I can build some more shelves. 👍
I also picked up those Bloodgood albums (3rd and 4th in their discography). Those are the latest reissues by Boones Overstock. Rock In A Hard Place is more commercial. Out of the Darkness (my favorite album from them) is more of a return to their roots of more of a Classic Metal/Power Metal vibe. Michael Bloodgood (bassist, co-founder) passed away a year or 2 ago and drummer Kevin Whisler also passed away months prior to that of cancer. Their lead singer, Les Carlson, released a solo album in 2022 called He's Coming which reminds me a lot of Out of the Darkness. He is currently working on another solo album.
I remember I found a classic style longbox CD of Just Say Ozzy, probably late ‘90s.
I'm so looking forward to getting my Black Sabbath boxset, I don't know anything about the Tony Martin's years. Perhaps another video about top releases of his outside of Black Sabbath? I listened to "Dehumanizer" yesterday, I love that album (I know not Tony) I'm just gearing up for the boxset!
Tony Martin said in an interview that the live album will most likely be released as a standalone release because Tony Iommi wants to do it the right way.
I’d love to see it get a re-release but honestly I don’t see it happening unless it’s bundled with all of Black Sabbath’s live albums in one box. Despite how much some of us like Tony Martin, there just isn’t a big enough call to have a live album of his in print. It’s the reason the studio albums he’s on is a boxset and not being released as stand alone editions. But I do hope it happens and they make it worthwhile since I already have the 1st edition of it.
Tony Martin also said that they had to go through a lot of hurdles to get the box set together and released and at one point he didn’t think it was going to be released.
My 2nd favorite series!...number 1 being what just dropped. I had heard of Nestor but never really gave them a listen until i saw you picked it up. Got the newest one ...really liked it so Im waiting for the first one to come in. Thanks for sharing your finds.
Been getting alot of British heavy metal and I'm almost out of room! Thanks alot Brendon!! 😅🤟
I wanted to ask you about your NAD cd player and amplifier. Do they sound good, are they reliable or you have some issues? Thanks
I’m Status Quo fan. I was able to see them live last year in the UK. And I’ve see four times here in the USA. They are always an amazing live band.
My little funhouse were from Kilkenny here in Ireland. Its a long way from the sunset strip. 😊
But they still made it! 👍
I'm so glad you enjoyed Bloodgood. they have 6 full albums out that you should get. I love Christain metal. It's a shame that most Christain metal bands aren't well known, or people just stay away because of the lyrics. there missing out on some fantastic metal. There are so many great Christain metal out there. Stryper, Bloodgood, Barren Cross, Holy Solider, Sacred Warrior, Mortification, Vengeance Rising and others.
BloodGood was up there with Stryper & Barren Cross & White Cross
You said that you buy some CDs on ebay, which seller do you choose the most? Because I almost always choose "Rarewaves", it has most of the cheapest "new, sealed" discs on all of ebay and fast shipping. And I'm asking you, maybe you know some other seller that has a lot of box sets and rare CDs with bonus tracks or something like that. Thank you!
Cherry Bombz had 2 EPs Hot Girls in Love (85)/The House of Ectasy (86)
I’ll look for those as well.
I've got lots of Badlands stuff.. Promos .. Signed 8x10, a drum stick, all albums plus reissues cd, LIVE and demo cd. Plus a Voodoo Highway t-shirt!! ❤
Check out British band Scruffy Bear. Rock on 🤘🤘🤘🤘
You made me curious about Status Quo, I had definitely heard Rockin’ All Over The World. I might delve into them a little bit. Michael Voss has produced the last several Michael Schenker albums along with singing a song or two.
Very cool , I like it
Where did you get the killer shirt ?
SocieTees they’re a great t-shirt company
😎👍
triggerzone is from ohio 9min mark
Buying random new CDs has nothing to do with „collecting“
There is nothing random about what I do. Nor did I say anything about “collecting”. I buy music that I want to hear. It’s that simple.
Love hearing about all the new releases I might of missed❤❤
Then just exactly what is "collecting" music mean to you? How is buying music you are attracted to "random" ??? What are you getting at?
@@treff9226And how did 8 people like such a nonsensical statement? Bizarre
Man.......peeps should become lawyers if all they ever wanna do is argue! KEYBOARD WARRIORS ARE EVERYWHERE, TYPING AWAY IN THEIR MOMMAS BASEMENT, SAFE AND SECURE. @@Protometal66
For whatever reason, I always assumed you were a religious person because I know you’ve mentioned your father is/was a pastor.
Did your parents ever give you a hard time for the metal music you listened to growing up?
No fortunately not. I made an agreement with them that as long as my grades stayed up and I was respectful that I could listen to whatever kind of music I wanted to. And so my various metal bands never became an issue.
If that Reckless Love album didn’t jump out at you, give their album Animal Attraction a try. It is one of their best by far! Also appreciate the Voyager X recommendation been loving that!
Thanks for the alternate recommendation. Glad you’re enjoying Voyager-X.
Brendon, I know what you meant…CBS remastered Ozzy’s catalog. I wish they would have used the full size album covers.
Another awesome haul. Are you familiar with Kissin Dynamite ? Thinking about collecting them……
Great video again sir!
Nestor - their first album is fantastic and this is just as good. What a great band. And to think they vanished for decades. Really hoping they tour this somewhere I can get to.
I managed to get the Anno Domini set on vinyl from Amazon. Even though I heard it had sold out and my order was placed on back order, it showed up the next day, so they must have had a few left. A lovely package. Hopefully Cross Purposes live and the demos will find a release one day.
I also had to get that original CD of just say ozzy for the cover. I had the vinyl edition from back in the day too.
I don't buy 20 CD'S in a whole year.Mostly i listen music on spotify. Very often spotify have the lyrics to read along with. The CD booklets you can't read the writing because it is too small. If an album is not on spotify i don't care.Enough great music out there.
Good for you man. But I feel bad for the experiences you’re missing out on. 👍
Us older music fans want to own the physical album, we want to be able to touch it, read the liner notes, look at the booklet, and then add it the collection. Simply looking at my columns and columns of CDs and vinyl gives me a high, a legal high! I get the ease of streaming music, though, and I'm running out of space!
