10:25 I remember looking at this add of the green 1970 ford from an old life magazine 30 yrs later and thinking how pretty this car was. The grill work and pretty tail lamps were striking
One more beautiful car . There’s nothing like the old ones to see how much style the factory put in them . . Thank you LOU . And the owner of that I would say rare car ..
I remember seeing a brand new sports roof Galaxie at our local Ford dealer in 1970 (we always went to all dealers when the new models came out, there were always giveaways, free stuff, drinks. food....and the cars!) when I was around 7th grade..it was a baby blue with a darker blue interior and a white top (can't remember if it was painted or vinyl. It caught my eye because it was the only roof line like it on the lot. Big car. This XL is nice and certainly got in the right hands. Surprised it survived the crusher days, so many of our wonderful cars went that way. Glad you found this one to show everyone, Lou!
Oh my goodness, you brought back memories of my Uncle Charlie Hogan and his 70XL. He would visit and take me for a ride to town. The only difference is that his car had the 429-4V. He would punch it on the way home and the G-force from the acceleration would push me hard into the seat. My Uncle Charlie would laugh so hard at my reaction. Thanks again Lou for the memories and the video 👍
Beautiful car.I have to say it, they just don't make them like they use to.At the time when they first came out it was not a big deal cause they were everywhere. Now 30 to 40 years later all those cars that were not popular back then, are very much a treat to look at today. All of them !Thanks for showing us this beautiful piece of history.

Back in the day, a 1970 Ford XL or a 1970 Impala or 1970 Fury Sport didn't turn heads at all -- dime a dozen. Now when we see one, we're like, "LOOK!!!"
I love all the eye catching details on Mr. McCarthy's '70 XL. From the dual tone paint, Sportsroof, Hideaway headlights, and definitely the two striped tires, there is plenty to see and enjoy. Thanks, Lou!
love these once 'unremarkable' survivor cars, that don't get the Jay Leno restored treatment. the seven hundred mile Galaxie 500 drop top was surprising. with friends like yours, the channel can't lose.
One of my favorite Fords. Called a Sportscoupe like the 64 Galaxie but they are Fastbacks. This one is very rare. Good thing John has Mary and we have you Lou ☺
Oh boy, big bro Lou! Never have I seen one of these. I have a weakness for these early 70's Ford Coupes/Muscle Cars-Torinos and Cyclones-and this beauty here is such a treat for my JV baseball eyes, man lol! Absolutely stunning from all angles and I lust for those flying butresses swooping in the back. Just so sculpturally beautiful and whimsical. I was born in late December '70 so perhaps I was floating around in my Mom's belly when this beauty came into being. Loved seeing her in this detail and John's story. Thanks big bro Lou! :) JV Johnny
Hi JV Johnny, Happy to share one you've never seen. "Absolutely stunning from all angles" High praise for the design of this car :-) You're welcome, Lou
This has to be a rare Ford, because I have never seen one before this video. Nice healthy sounding 429 engine. That two tone paint scheme looks unique. That guy is a stickler for making that car look exactly like one he owned years before, all the way down to the double line tires. Amazing Ford XL Sportcoupe.
Hey, Shawn! Happy to read you appreciate the rarity of this car finding it to share today. Glad to read this one is "awesome" :-) Appreciate the kind words on the "Greta job", Lou
Thanks Lou for covering a not so common car. This Ford is a absolute jewel . Best thing I like about your channel is not every other car is a Camaro, Mustang or Corvette.
That XL brought back memories of the 1970 Galaxie 500 two door hardtop sportsroof that my aunt purchased brand new after her 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air was stolen. It was a far plainer car -- 302 V8, automatic, power steering, whitewall tires, full wheel covers, and vinyl interior being its only options. Stopping that huge car with manual drum brakes was a real challenge. She traded it in when it had 8,000 miles in 1978 on a much smaller and more nimble Plymouth Horizon that was much more highly optioned.
My '70 XL had a 390-2V, dual tone bronze green hood with awful pastel yellow green body. I paid $500 for it in '74, Ohio-rusted quarter panels and all. Loved that old barge
This nice looking 1970 Ford XL was one of number of full size American cars of that time era. That was the time of large full size cars with a large V8 engine, rear wheel drive, and body on a frame construction. These cars were very roomy and had a quiet comfortable ride. They were real great for long road trips. That era is now long gone.
Really happy for John that he found his car. My Dad's company car back in the day was a 1969 Galaxy, same tan color. I remember that unique dashboard, too. Thanks, gentlemen...
Never knew about the XL stand alone, and no better place to learn about it than from two passionate car guys here on "My Car Story", Thanks Lou and owner John for the viewing on such a preserved Ford and eye catching color combination. . . :>/
Hi Dr, Candor, Happy to read this is new information for you :-) My pleasure sharing with you. I'm learning all the time from the Caretakers, and I find that to be so much fun! You're welcome, Lou
You would think that to be the case, but I had a girlfriend (or two) who would love to reach across and change the station..... I didn't mind to much - being a young guy.....😉
Hi, Lou! Ford brought out the first Galaxie 500 XL in 1962. It became simply the XL in 1967, and the 1970 was the last of the line. The SportsRoof coupes of 1969 and 1970 were particularly rakish with the sloping roofline, tunneled rear window, hidden headlights and cockpit-style dash, and looked even more so with the Dual-tone paint job. John was very fortunate--and very patient--to find one in such great shape and with such low mileage in that stunning combination of black, gold and ginger. This car IS bound to recapture your youth! Thanks for sharing this rare treat with us and taking us along for a quiet break!
i had a galaxie 500 coupé .also a 65 chevrolet impala coupé but i hadf more this two were sold ,kept others, in the 80´s i saw a cd from a band called galaxie 500 ,i had to buy it and i liked it and today i still hear them under the name Luna, only the singer /guitar player his the same but there was a time when there was a mix of galaxie 500 and luna, even a live Lp
19 1/2 feet of fun! I had a '69 XL Convertible 429 4v - It could bury the speedometer! Love the Galaxie XL's - No '429' badge on this? My '69 had the badge built in with with cornering lamps.

Hello again, Lou! This is another rare beauty you don't see much of today. This car and the Marauder X-100 (the XL's sister car at "The Sign Of The Cat") shared the same basic body. These were among the last of the full-size high-performance cars (along with the Chrysler 300, Plymouth Sport Fury, and Buick's Wildcat), and sales were lost to such cars like the Torino GT/Cyclone, and, of course, the Mustang/Cougar. A change of note: The radio antenna was moved back to the right front fender, after spending 1969 on the left side. The radio was mounted to the extreme left on the instrument panel. So therefore, any passenger in a '69 full size Ford had to ask the driver to change the station. Score one for the driver! Finally, the two-tone paint treatment is rare, I haven't seen many 1970 Ford XL's with it! I have a copy of the May 2008 issue of _Hemmings Classic Car_ with an article on a two-tone yellow and black 1970 XL convertible. Every time I see a Ford like this, the television show "The FBI" (1965-74) comes to mind. You may remember that Ford sponsored the show, and Ford cars and trucks were seen in every episode. Thanks again, Lou! I'll be looking for more! _(11/9/2022)_
You don't come across these much anymore, specially in such nice condition. Back in 1972, I knew of a guy whom aquired the most unusual big Ford car (from approx. the late 1960's) that I've ever seen. I don't remember if it was a 1968 or 1969, but it was medium blue exterior, 2-door post Galaxie with a regular roof (not a fastback)...looked like a big 2-dr coupe (actually looked sorta of odd). I do remember that it had a big block engine (428 or 429) with a 4bbl. carb, dual exhaust, but the most unusual item is it was a factory 4-speed. I believe it may have also been a bench seat but not sure (could have been bucket seats). This car was a former Connecticut State Police Car, had a special speedometer and some other gauges. I don't recall it being "quick" in the short distance but do remember it more of a "top end" car for the highways.

That's a trip back in time. I had a 70 XL convertible that was white with blue accents. The XL you are featuring is super rare. I don't think I have ever seen one with that color combo.
I remember the day I first saw a full-size 1970 Ford. It was a light blue one (a four-door I believe, like the one at 12:01) that I saw while delivering papers as a kid, in the fall of 1969. When I saw those rectangular taillights, I instantly recognized it as a 1970 as I had not seen those before.
OMG! Lou, what have you done?! This is an absolutely gorgeous car. Love the flying buttress design of these vehicles. Ford had a fast back on their full-sized cars that just did not look right in 1968 (Torinos are the exception). But this design is absolutely stunning. Love the two-tone paint and the hidden headlights. I remember these cars when I was a kid (would have been 8 at the time). Always loved this look. Even the Bunkie beak is tasteful (rare situation).
Very unique car. This is when cars began to go from the lithe look of the late-'60's to a more formal, heavier, luxury look. This takes me back to my childhood, although you rarely saw the sportier models. You mostly saw the family sedan versions.
Bunkie Knudsen was Ford's CEO in the late 1960s. He was previously General Manager at the Pontiac Division and then later at Chevrolet Division. Once hired by FoMoCo, he insisted Ford use the pointed nose design on some of its passenger cars. The 1970 and 1971 Thunderbirds were his most extreme example. Lee Iacocca and some other Ford executives detested Knudsen and convinced Henry Ford II to fire him.
@@dave1956 FoMoCo is and was probably the most difficult (at least regarding the domestic automakers) to work as a senior executive. Some of that difficulty comes from the Ford Family having outsized influence. Joe Hinrichs was a former senior executive at Ford who was thrown under the bus and fired a few years ago (Former Ford CEO Mark Fields supposedly tried to make Hinrichs the fall guy before he himself was shown the exit door). Both Hinrichs and Fields were LONG time Ford employees. Knudsen thought that part of Pontiac's sales success in the 1960s was due to a front bumper "beak"...but the story is that the senior design team at Ford at that time (and also Iacocca) disagreed that Ford should imitate that design.
Nice to see these rare cars on your channel. This one is a real beauty. Thank you John, for sharing your Ford XL with Lou and his channel👍 The 'Merchandising Materials' binder was really special, and very interesting. I have never seen something like that from any manufacturer. Great video. Thanks Lou!
This has to be one of my favorite Fords, the only thing is the sister car this Ford the Mercury Marauder X100 I like a tad bit more, but this XL in this color a sharp looking car, great video pick
Extraordinario modelo Ford XL Sportscoupe 1970! Saludos!
You would be surprised at the amount of nice cars coming from Montana. I found my '62 T-Bird in Kalispell, Montana back in 2002. Thanks for bringing this rare treat to us, Lou!
Hi Gary, My pleasure sharing this "rare treat" with you. Hoping one day my journey's take me to Montana to video a few nice cars from there. You're welcome, Lou
Great example of an early 70's style. Interesting that Ford would have an almost "Pontiac" looking front end/grille design. Love the hideaway headlights! Never knew about the 1970 only "double whitewall" tire. So subtle ! I remember using SOS pads on my whitewall tires back in the day, then ArmorAll on the black to make them "pop"... before tire shine was even a thing !
@@danielulz1640 the design of the 69/70 full size cars date back to early 1967, one full year ahead of Bunkies becoming the president at Ford. He had nothing to do with this beak

Gorgeous!! Now that back deck lid looks very similar to the 69-70 Mercury Marauder X 100 deck lid, which is striking itself. What rare and unique car this is. Lou, as always great vid. Keep' em coming.Thank you
Very nice ! It was said that this paint job was rare. To me, the car was rare, too. I was 13 in '70 and don't remember these at all. Yes, i remember a white '66 Galaxie next door, my all time fave of that so,,,, ;) I never saw one. Sorta unusual that a 429 was offered with a 2V and single exhaust but i'm sure it could get out it's own way ;) She's a beauty !
My aging brain is scrambling trying to remember where I saw this big block beauty. Oh yeah Iola (Wi.) this past summer along with 3,000 other gems. The rarity of this car is what caught my eye. Just stunning. Thank you Lou for featuring this boulevard brute.
Rode in a red with white top 70' Country Sedan Wagon 390-2V as a kid. It had dual stripe tires too, but for some reason I remember them a lil thinner. A boulder came off a rock cliff and hit my parents while they were driving it damaging the passenger's fender and cutting the right-side front tire. The replacement tire's double stripes did not match the other 3 from FoMoCo, but I did not know they were for 70' only. And same as always, If they're out there...Lou will find em.
How cool is Mr. McCarthy to seek out this same model he had? It's a very unique car, and the first time I've seen an XL. Such an outstanding state of preservation, and originality. Thanks to both of you for featuring the XL. It's simply gorgeous all around.
Ahhh yes, the 1970 Galaxie 500/LTD XL coupe - my FAVORITE car of all time! I owned two 1970 Galaxies, a 2 door coupe with the 351 Windsor and a four door with the 429 2 barrel carb. My neighbor had a blue 1970 XL with the highback buckets and a console with every option available, but it had been in a wreck so the front 1/4 panel was a mess and the car was just sitting in their back yard. I tried like hell to buy the car from them but they refused to sell it. They ended up taking it to the junkyard (!!!) without telling me about it and it disappeared after that. Someday I WILL find another one and fully restore it, but it must have the buckets and console interior with all of the interior power options. I'd also love to get my hands on a convertible version with the same interior options, but those two are extremely rare and almost impossible to locate. Your car is just stunning and a beautiful example of this model year and the two-tone paint certainly makes it a unique version of this model. I remember how much torque this particular engine had, and I shredded the rear tires on my 429 taking off from a dead stop, even chirping the tires when it would shift from 1st to 2nd gear at around 60 MPH - it was thrilling! Thank you for showing us this beauty, it brings back nothing but happy memories for me of the one car that I still lust after to this day.

FABULOUS and slightly (very) rare . Cannot remember the last time one has been seen here (VA). Reminds one of Mercury's X-100 Marauder. The best I ever did was a 70 Mark III - it did have a 460 however. Cheers!
I appreciate channels like this that show cars of the 70's and 80's Land Yacht Era. I very rarely see cars like these on the road. As I learn more and more about them, the more love and appreciation I have for these era land yachts. Lincolns and Mercurys are my preference. Lou Thank you
Great car. My Father was a Ford mechanic in the Detroit area in the mid 60s to mid 70s. He would bring cars like this home all the time. They rode so smooth and were so quiet inside with the windows up. Way better than today's cars.
Hi 7080nik, Happy to read you enjoy this "Great car" :-) Glad to read this car brings back memories of the cars your Dad would bring home. Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Beautiful do , my Dad had a 1966 galaxy white hardtop 390 4-v , this. 1970 is like new, tx gorgeous,, I had a LTD that was the best car I ever had, it rode like a million bucks, silent, the seats were like a couch, it was awesome, wish I had it now, thanks for all the memories ! I remember the local Ford dealership having one of these in stock. They were very rare, even when new. I went to school with a guy that had a convertible which is even more rare. 1969 was also just an XL.
Hi Dave, Happy to read this car brings back memories of the one you remember at the local Dealership, and the one the guy had in school with the drop top too :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Dad brought one home from the dealership in red with white interior! I cried when he told us it was a demonstrator and that he'd bought a Galaxy 500 four door and not a red one. lol
Man, them Hide-aways worked PERFECTLY! Must be a single vacuum motor/servo for both covers, because my old '68 Cougar had separate servos for both covers, and they never opened or closed together like that. In addition, there is a a little round 'flip-flop' valve which reverses the vacuum connections to the servo(s). With the engine off and headlights off, you would turn this valve, and the covers would open. Turn it back, and they might close if you have enough vacuum, maybe... The valve was down near the steering box, probably below the vacuum reservoir I see there. When I was little, my Dad had a '70 LTD four door hardtop - white, black vinyl top, blue vinyl interior, 390 C6 - and he would open the doors for me from under the hood when he had the hood open. My Mom put an indentation in the drywall in our garage with that center of the bumper. Those fastback C pillar buttresses look like a '71-'73 Cougar or Mustang notch! That car is the end of the fullsize fastback muscle! I have a set of those XL wheelcovers for my '77 F150! Looks like the 351 was standard in the XL, with 302 only in the Custom and Custom 500. My truck has a 240 which someone slipped in in place of the 300. You can see a super-rare buckets/console/floorshift car pictured in the brochure!

Just got a 1969 ford XL convertible at a local auction. Only had one owner and i found in the trunk the entire history of the car from the window sticker, dealer order, purchase reciept to road maps of where he moved to in 1970 in Los Angeles and an entire service history of the car all hand written from november 1969 to 1994 and service receipts after 1998 when he moved to VA included a copy of the registration receipt. The best part was a typed letter the man wrote to his dad in indiana telling him exactly what car to look for at the dealers and how much he needs to talk down the price. Reason for this was that the cars in Indiana were cheaper than in California, where he lived. Car still runs great, just needs a little body work, new coat of white paint and a top.

I fully restored mine - orig 390 2B, but I snuck in a 428, since you cannot tell the difference externally. Mine has the bucket seats with console and horsheshoe shifter and is in barely-light-blue with a dark blue vinyl top. Otherwise stock except for the dual exhaust. My father purchased it new, so it was just our family car. Then it became my high-school car and nearly rusted to oblivion here in MN. Spent $26k restoring it in 1999, but due to the astonishing lack of interest in ’69 - '70 Galaxies overall, it'd probably fetch $8k. I didn't restore it as an investment, just as a promise made back in the '80s to never, ever, give up on it. I have touched every screw and fastener, every inch of this car. Since it has the 2.75 rear-end, it was always meant as a cruiser, and doesn't really go that hard off the line... but it's kinda fun to go from 70 to 85 in a second. I've always loved the fastback and the hidden headlights, the 1970 grill and rear were more my taste than the 1969.

We had a ‘70 XL when we got married 44 years ago. Dark blue with a white vinyl top, and yes, it had the 429 with a console automatic. Alas, not a family car however, long gone but not forgotten.
Love it. Fantastic big Ford. They do drive very nicely, and the ride is very close to the Lincoln. Front leg room in these cars is gargantuan. You were very lucky to find this rare baby. They will never make cars like this again! My first car was a 68 XL.
Rare, beautiful, and like new. I love that car. I grew up in the 1960s - 1970s in a Ford family, and I have owned an early 1970s Ford. These cars disappeared for many reasons, one not often mentioned is that drag racers cut them up for the 9" rear differentials. I recall plenty of BB Chevy cars driving through 9"ers. Good to see this one survived.
Beautiful Car!! When I was 19, I bought a 1968 Galaxy XL with the 428 4bbl. It was Gold with the gold colored interior. It had the huge bucket seats with the full console and the tach was mounted at the front of the console. The Shifter had a full loop and and you squeezed the bottom of the loop to shift out of park .God that thing was fast!!!! Not 1/4 mile fast but you get it out on the interstate and I bent the return spring on the speedometer! I am sure I was hitting somewhere around 150!
Odd the mighty 429 engine would be handicapped by a 2 barrel carb and a single exhaust. If I was given this car, day two parts installation would be a 4 barrel carb, 3.50 traction lock, and Flowmaster dual exhaust mosh goosh!!

Hi Michael, Happy to read you appreciate the rarity of this car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Yes I counted him 17 X saying very rare LOL
we loved our retractable headlights back then 👍🏻
Still do today :-)
Hey, Lou! Once again you find a rare car to video. This XL is awesome. Anything 429 is just the Ticket. Great job. Lou! Shawn.
Hi troynov1965, My pleasure sharing this "absolute jewel" with you :-) Appreciate that you enjoy the selection of cars I'm sharing with you, Lou
Another beauty....the owner's attention to detail is impressive!
Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-)
That XL brought back memories of the 1970 Galaxie 500 two door hardtop sportsroof that my aunt purchased brand new after her 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air was stolen. It was a far plainer car -- 302 V8, automatic, power steering, whitewall tires, full wheel covers, and vinyl interior being its only options. Stopping that huge car with manual drum brakes was a real challenge. She traded it in when it had 8,000 miles in 1978 on a much smaller and more nimble Plymouth Horizon that was much more highly optioned.
Hi Kevin, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
My '70 XL had a 390-2V, dual tone bronze green hood with awful pastel yellow green body. I paid $500 for it in '74, Ohio-rusted quarter panels and all. Loved that old barge
Hi Jeff Fixes It, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Hi David, Happy to read you enjoy this "nice looking" car :-) Thanks for viewing and sharing, Lou
Really happy for John that he found his car.
My Dad's company car back in the day was a 1969 Galaxy, same tan color. I remember that unique dashboard, too.
Thanks, gentlemen...

Hi Dr, Candor, Happy to read this is new information for you :-) My pleasure sharing with you. I'm learning all the time from the Caretakers, and I find that to be so much fun! You're welcome, Lou

Hi iswc27, Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Happy to read this car "recaptures your youth!" :-) You're welcome, Lou
John painted the black and it was not a dual tone car from the get go
i had a galaxie 500 coupé .also a 65 chevrolet impala coupé but i hadf more this two were sold ,kept others, in the 80´s i saw a cd from a band called galaxie 500 ,i had to buy it and i liked it and today i still hear them under the name Luna, only the singer /guitar player his the same but there was a time when there was a mix of galaxie 500 and luna, even a live Lp
"I NEED TO BUY THE CAR!" Just as simple as John says. Thanks Lou!

Great looking Ford with the big motor and dual tone paint ! Great riding coupe.... Always loved these ! Thanks for posting Lou !
Hi Rudy, Happy to read "Always loved these" :-) You're welcome, Lou
Amazing! Mr McCarthy has a meticulous collection of advertising brochures, workshop manuals, options for this car, how to care for the car etc.
Hi John, Happy to read "Amazing!" :-) Lou
19 1/2 feet of fun! I had a '69 XL Convertible 429 4v - It could bury the speedometer! Love the Galaxie XL's - No '429' badge on this? My '69 had the badge built in with with cornering lamps.

Hi Rick, "It's a sporty land-yacht, how unique!" Well said. My pleasure sharing this car with you. You're welcome, Lou
Hi Know Bodies Full, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Thanks for viewing and sharing, Lou

Hi JWelchon, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Hi Marshall, Happy to read this car brings back memories of the 1st day you saw a full-size 1970 Ford :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
This was a treat Extremely rare and awesome ✅💯

High praise for this design ultraviolet tp :-)

Very unique car. This is when cars began to go from the lithe look of the late-'60's to a more formal, heavier, luxury look. This takes me back to my childhood, although you rarely saw the sportier models. You mostly saw the family sedan versions.

Hi Keith, You're right, I haven't seen one in a while either, so glad I could share this one with you :-) You're welcome, Lou
Hi SpockvsMcCoy Kirk, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
Read Lee Iacocca’s autobiography for the whole story. Knudsen just didn’t mesh at Ford.
Many called the pointy nose the “Bunkie beak”.
Rats in the workplace
@@dave1956 FoMoCo is and was probably the most difficult (at least regarding the domestic automakers) to work as a senior executive. Some of that difficulty comes from the Ford Family having outsized influence. Joe Hinrichs was a former senior executive at Ford who was thrown under the bus and fired a few years ago (Former Ford CEO Mark Fields supposedly tried to make Hinrichs the fall guy before he himself was shown the exit door). Both Hinrichs and Fields were LONG time Ford employees.
Knudsen thought that part of Pontiac's sales success in the 1960s was due to a front bumper "beak"...but the story is that the senior design team at Ford at that time (and also Iacocca) disagreed that Ford should imitate that design.
that was a realy suprising trunk & treat, realy wonderful stuff !

Hi buddywayne1, Happy to read this one is a favorite of yours :-) Lou
Great example of an early 70's style. Interesting that Ford would have an almost "Pontiac" looking front end/grille design. Love the hideaway headlights! Never knew about the 1970 only "double whitewall" tire. So subtle ! I remember using SOS pads on my whitewall tires back in the day, then ArmorAll on the black to make them "pop"... before tire shine was even a thing !
Hi CDN Citizen, Happy to read "Great example of an early 70's style" :-) Lou

Rode in a red with white top 70' Country Sedan Wagon 390-2V as a kid. It had dual stripe tires too, but for some reason I remember them a lil thinner. A boulder came off a rock cliff and hit my parents while they were driving it damaging the passenger's fender and cutting the right-side front tire. The replacement tire's double stripes did not match the other 3 from FoMoCo, but I did not know they were for 70' only. And same as always, If they're out there...Lou will find em.

Yep. Always love your childhood hotrod. All of our neighbors and us had one it seems
:-)

Hi That Guy over there, Congratulations on your new purchase. Sounds like lot's of good details, Lou

Hi D S, Happy to read you have a cool car too :-) NICE! Lou

Hi Kenneth, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Lou
Odd the mighty 429 engine would be handicapped by a 2 barrel carb and a single exhaust. If I was given this car, day two parts installation would be a 4 barrel carb, 3.50 traction lock, and Flowmaster dual exhaust mosh goosh!!
Hi John, Thank you for sharing the modifications you'd add to this car, Lou
