Even if you ask the correct questions or request for a full watch overhaul servicing, you will still not be sure it is being done correctly as there is no way for to verify. I guess is all about trusting the watchmaker like you trusting the watch seller when buying watches.

I agree it can be very hard. That’s why it’s so important to ensure you trust the person servicing the watch and knowing they have the qualifications to do so correctly.
