What a lovely happy and relaxed episode to watch, really love your family travel videos and as always beautiful footage and beautiful landscapes.Chloe is so grown up now and really confident, she’s such a mini Tiff 😊. Thanks and see you next episode :)
Desmond here those rope ties are brillant how times have change i tour with my parents touring the south island and pushing the caravan in greymouth campsite where it rains non stop those were the days the good old days
Looking at your time up there I am so fortunate to spend two night doing the west mc + a night at palm valley swagging alone in the late 90`s, no crowds, bathways, coffeeshops just nature and silence.
Some good memories - I hiked the Larapinta Trail a couple of years back and we camp at Hugh, Standley & Simpson. Wonderful country, but a hot slog when you are walking it for 9+ !
Such amazing country out there. We spent six months in Alice and got to explore the area pretty well. I will never forget the heat out there in summer. Never experienced anything like it elsewhere. Great to see the area again, bringing back lots of good memories.
I have the Starmount systems mod case for work and that works really well. They were offering a removable Mount that you could have a base on the canopy and the van and just move the dish over as required. You need to stow it for it to fit into the box 😅
Well done guys...loved the West Macs, especially Ormiston and Ellery Big 'Ole (!), places I've enjoyed. Never been to the East Macs, so that part was great.
Hi cam,.Been a few years since we were in Katherine, the best steak in Australia is at the RSL had an international food guide to prove it. Came with a stuffed spud full of sour cream and chives, Awesome, stay safe enjoy.
For some reason people always miss out going to Palm valley when visiting Alice Spring area, you guys would of loved it. Excellent episode guys im enjoying your travels, takes me back to 2008 when i did the same trip.
Thanks for another great episode. We travelled throughout the same area as yourselves spanning 20-30 years and the scenery remains spectacular. We thoroughly enjoy the photography etc. Safe travels
Good morning😊 Thanks for an awesome episode 😊 Beautiful country 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing your travels with me 👏🏼👏🏼 Have a great weekend & Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Possibly one of the funniest things you’ve ever said but lamb shanks and mash is pretty much like taking two sleeping pills. Maybe you should get Chloe to fly the drone whilst you’re driving Cam, then Tiff could do what she does and Chloe would become an employee and therefore a tax write off., win win. Great ep. Your channel really is the best travel channel in Australia, you’re not just putting out content for the sake of it. Well done
Great vid as always guys. With the starlink, I too was going to flat mount ours but instead chose to keep it portable (for now). We just put our wherever and I leave the router outside plugged into a power point. This way there’s no need to bring cable inside the van at all and the wifi signal is fine. I did however buy a drifta canvas bag for it which is really nice protection for it and fairly compact.
Great episode guys, were in the same bay back in April when it was stinking hot. Its a good swim out to the other end of the gorge when the water is not freezing! Safe travels.🍻🍻👍👍
Hi Cam just one that you could mention is that when camping or setting up your van don't do it in the river bed. I did see you take the high ground but there were others set up in the creek on one of your site's. The reason as you probley know is. You don't know what the weather is doing a 100k away and flash flooding in common in the out back. Just a little tip for people that may not know.
Get a flat hose real of the Flat hose company we fitted ours with the 150foot cable its great neat tidy and let me tell you curling your cable up won't last they are very sensitive we found out the hard way 😢
@@WildTouring We stayed at the Ross River homestead. and had a wonderful talk, damn I can't think of his name now, about the old droving days when I drove coach tours with Australian Pacific back in them thar days. Love you work!!
I did find that NT parks have unnecessarily small sites, I always found there was ample space to move the poles further out, they are literally fencing off dirt, its not like there is any vegetation they are protecting.
Oh I have heard they are awesome but we already have a good $$ pram at home and couldn’t justify the price for just a travel pram we use on the odd occasion! 🙈
Reading through the comments. 😂😂its a male thing. We all probably have that thought, but you Cam voiced it😂😂😂,and the response was absolute GOLD😂😂,and would be the most common response from the female fraternity. Chloe definitely will be a you tuber in the future. I can see her now, taking mum and dad on trips to the park, cooking your soups for lunch😂😂😂😂. Great insight to the Mac's. Yeah we thought the gorges and rocks in Alice, are noway as good as Karajini. Cheers Mark...
Thank you for another great video guys!! Quick question - the blue light hanging inside your van (saw it whilst you were sitting at the dining table) is this a mosquito zapper? And if so does it work and where did you purchase from please. Safe travels guys!!
another great video. your cinematograph is improving every time. I know these are all national parks and you aren't meant to take dogs, but are you seeing people with their dogs? I really want to take mine with me.
Thanks mate! Have seen a few people with doggos as we got further north but not many through the centre as all the national parks are not dog friendly unfortunately 😕 the manager at Ayres rock campground did mention to me that a few of the workers there are happy to pet sit on their days off so there is definitely some options.
Be very careful with the nt park measurements! Last year they completely disregarded the measurements provided by the rangers… in to much of a hurry to get the online system up and running.
@@WildTouring we did some camp hosting at Big horse Timber creek in May 22! The online system didn’t work on mobiles (there were a few ‘tricks’to it and the measurements were all identical per site. Had some very upset people
@@WildTouring site 16 was in my opinion the best! Not many fish were caught while we were there… water was to hot, but was picking up as we left. The wiki camp reviews may last year I entered the best sites for different types of vehicles to make it easier for tourists! The rangers were good people and mentioned the silver jew fishing later in the year was very good! Best fishing was in Gove

Great episode. Tiff was more interested in the lamb shank instead of the Cam shank lol.
🤣🤣 very true! Haha
Special adult time now coded "Lamb shanks and mash". Great look around the ranges and gorges.
😂

Yeah it’s a bit of a detour but I did it a few years back solo. Would have loved to take Tiff but the track itself isn’t very caravan friendly.
"Stabiliser legs are down" 😂 Love your work Cam and I'm gunna steal it 😊
That second spot looks mint 💁👍👏✌️
Love your videos, Chloe is amazing,so brave climbing over all the rocks, love your pasta bake will definitely try that one.💖💖💕💕
Thinking of doing the same East of Alice … Ruby Gap is (according to other vids) the beauty

Yeah I’m hesitant to mount it, plus the amount of times we are parked under trees - it’s handy being able to move it to a clear line of sight!

Yeah the rain came through quite bad just after we left actually! Access to kings canyon was completely closed for a few days too.
Nice drone shots guys.
Great video guys! Awesome country, brings back good memories 😊. Looking forward to the next episode 🤘Cam, looks like you have a brake light out too

Thanks for a great video guys 🙏
No worries! Thanks for watching 😊
I did the Mereeni Loop pre Covid on my motorbike and the bull dust and track was rubbish then. Took me 6hrs. Looks like you got lucky.
Must have done! Was in pretty good condition 👍🏼
Not gunna lie... that lamb shank on mash looked A grade. Nice vid. Cheers, dd
Was delicious 😋 cheers mate!
Love it pmsl with the romantic dinner comments I have giving up putting the stabiliser legs down Cam.
The stabiliser legs are down has gotta be a great slogan for a t shirt. 😂 meaningless to all except those of us with family bunk vans.
😂
Always gotta keep the stabilisers down Cam 😅 We enjoyed staying at the Daly Waters pub and I bought my first didgeridoo in Katherine 😊
Awesome episode gang. Sorry Tiff but Cams stabiliser leg comment was gold 🏆🏆

Yeah I do however like the way they tell you online what the exact dimensions of each site is! Quite handy.
@WildTouring yeah I found them great campsites other than the sites were always on the smaller side
Hey guys you need to buy a moutian buggy for the young fella best pram/pusher you will ever have pretty much a 4wd make those gorge walks so easy.
Oh I have heard they are awesome but we already have a good $$ pram at home and couldn’t justify the price for just a travel pram we use on the odd occasion! 🙈
Not going too lie the stabiliser leg comment is something I'd say hahaha. Great episode 👌👌

Yes it is! It’s from Kmart - it does actually seem to work quite well! Battery life isn’t great though, need to be recharged each day.

Haha she is! 🐐
Bay 12 maybe where the Rav4 stayed

😂😂 I know right!
We continued from hermansberg the Alice because my wife was losing it on the corrigations lol
Haha they do drive you nuts! 😂
Gee Tiff you were harsh on Cam for your romantic night and dinner, but the look for the stabiliser legs🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wowed us again,
Still PMSL 😂 at the lack of branding on your unmarked van. They really deserved that. Safe travels.

All this booking on line is rubbish. They’ve cut ranger numbers that’s why. Bollards, no rangers and online booking.
I’m such a planner I actually don’t mind having to book online - but it does become problematic if you have no reception, change plans etc!
Just remember to vote NO
