A good way to do washing, a 10 gallon plastic rubbish bin, put in cloths then water and washing powder, put lid on, drive for an hour. Drain water, ring out cloths, put back in bin and water, drive to destination. Wring out cloths and hang to dry. Great video and I travel Australia from my bedroom in Brisbane.
To replace your broken motor, simply use your battery drill. Just give it a tiny buzz and the rotisserie will turn a bit. Over time it will settle in every new place so the whole gets cooked in the end. The drill is just left hanging on the end of the rotisserie rod. Leave it in first gear. That goat on the road? That's Jeff!!! What a great place Daly Waters is. I went through there in the military many years ago but of course we never stopped! Oh yes junk to throw away this time next year when you do your next trip. What a good idea! Oh those two long horn steers were so 'knowing' and cool.
Hey Cam and Tiff. If yiu havent yet blown by Howard Springs. Check out the Howards Springs Nature Reserve. Every time we are in Darwin, we stop there with a small bag of Mullies to feed the meter plus barra by hand. A small hidden Gem.
Great video. I lived 8 years in Alice Springs. So glad we left there when we did. Still miss the scenery though. Absolutely stunning country out there.
Did the trip from Alice to Darwin in a 6 berth camper, was fun, but lost the auto momentarily at Karlu Karlu, thankfully was only about an hour, wouldn't change out of park. Never got to Daly Water's but did Mataranka and Bitter Springs. Will do Katherine next trip. Awesome video too by the way
👏🏻 thanks Cam & Tiff love your travel episodes handy info on Daley , hey Cam there is a great episode on tools/spares for travelling (wild touring) it’s 3yrs old but he didn’t carry a spare Anderson either 👀🤣🤣🤣 Safe travels 👨🏻🌾🤙🏻 hopefully you have caught that Barra
Hey guys, just an observation. But I reckon this is the first time both of you have looked so relaxed. It's great to see. You all look like you're really enjoying yourself. Shame Cam you miss out on the bedtime routine 😂😂. But someone has to cook dinner. Anyway great episode. Keep them coming. You guys are awesome... Cheers Mark...
Liking the videos, done that trip a couple of times. I’ve had a couple of good nights at the Barrow Creek pub. Daly is good but a bit too touristy for me. Cam I could be wrong but somehow I get the impression that you’d rather be on a solo trip or by the beach with mates rather than a inland desert trip. I reckon you’ll sell the van when you get back. 😀😀 Maybe you just need to hit the water when you get to Darwin. 😀😀
No where I would rather be than with the fam, but I’m definitely a beach lover! Even the beaches up in Darwin aren’t the same as home as you’ve got to be wary of the crocs still 🙈 keeping the van as we plan to travel for a year in 2025 😁
@@WildTouring , it was a bit tongue in cheek and family time is the best time …. but I know you like the beach and mates stuff. 😀👍 Me .. I’m inland desert all the way.
Sunset is pretty cool at karlu karlu and its only $6 a night. We enjoyed our stay there and would do it again but would never bother with Daly Waters again. I guess it is all perspective and personal preference
It’s a baby jogger city tour. It’s not the best off road, not much storage and seat is quite shallow but it is amazingly compact, folds down so quick and is so handy for travelling!
Visited Daly Waters approx. 40 years ago.....all they had was the pub and a few houses, lucky to get 3-4 visitors a week. I got a parking ticket from the local cop, as I was parked on the wrong side of the road e.g. truck facing wrong direction for the side of the road I parked on ?????? Didn't even know it was a law......but I guess he needed his quota and best to get a terrorist rather than a local (all 5 of them...lol)
The update happened while we were away which rendered it useless for a couple of days for us! (We were so lost without it 😂) luckily it seems to have sorted itself out now 🙂
Yes the update fkn sucks. Can't read any reviews, no pictures no information on the camp sites. How can they have a pretty much perfect app, do an update and fk the entire thing up. 😂
I love how you guys are all in thongs haha tourists had a laugh at/with us when we did a north trip. They were Ol kitted out in full hiking gear boots and all and heres us with a baby carrier, thongs treking it 🤣🤣.
@@WildTouringmy first trip to the great northwest. Bought some Emu Bitter as I remember you made some fairy wings from the box for Chloe quite awhile back.
idk why anyone today wud risk a 4wd caravan trip around the baron aussie lanscape when retired Fook all the years of drinking smoking you be luck to change a tyre mate xd let alone drive 7 hrs without 2 days rest xd xd xd
Enjoying your episodes but today you’ve shown how parochial you are. I don’t think you gave Devils Marbles a chance. It’s worth taking the time to look over it all before dismissing it after looking at one tenth of the place: especially since you were there.
Admittedly we were perhaps a bit over sightseeing rocks by this stage of the trip, coming straight from the east mac and west mac ranges - it had been almost 2 weeks of looking at gorges by this stage. With young kids (who would much rather be swimming or at the playground 😂) we unfortunately don’t always get the opportunity to fully explore everywhere we visit so we try our best to juggle this. We didn’t love Karlu Karlu but that’s ok, we also had lots of people tell us they didn’t like Daly Waters but we loved it. Always worth checking out these places for yourself 🙂 thanks for watching David.

Daly Waters looks a ton of fun. Nice to see all the people hanging out, relaxing, enjoying life, along with the animals.
Spotto the AWE on the head lining 🤘🤘🤘

Thanks mate!
Love the show! U forgot to introduce yourself! And thats a favourite part
Haha I know; sorry to disappoint ☺️
Snap Shades are brilliant
Was looking at those!
Another fun video thanks. Seeing videos of Daly Waters always makes me smile, and I always wonder what international tourists make of it 😂😂😂.
Haha it would be an eye opener for them!!! 😂
Visited DW twice… and loved it. Probably the most 🇦🇺 place 😂 Greetz from Europe

Nice vid guys was up there in 2000,Daly Waters sure was a interesting place, you should check out King Ash Bay,great fishing spots
A few people have recommended King Ash Bay to me before! A bit too far east for this trip but will add it to the list for next time 🙂
Great video. 👌
Cheers John
close to your best vid!
Cheers!
Yeah don't miss Mataranka Springs, it's a must see. How often do you change the ATF and do you have a transmission cooler?
The cars only got 130K on it and I’ve only changed it twice. Yes I’ve got a transmission cooler too 🙂
Sunset is pretty cool at karlu karlu and its only $6 a night. We enjoyed our stay there and would do it again but would never bother with Daly Waters again. I guess it is all perspective and personal preference
Absolutely 🙂 $6 is great value!
Great episode. Can you please tell us where you got your map of Australia that you have on the fridge?
Thanks! It’s from an online shop called Adventure Awaits
Love that map can you tell us where you got it from please

The word you were looking for at Daly Waters was “eclectic “👀
Sorry you have prob already answered this. But what is the pram you use please? It looks nice and compact.

How do you cope relying on Wikicamps at the moment? - It isn't exactly the most reliable app at the moment.
They're just struggling with an update. They'll get it back to the way it was I'm sure.
The update happened while we were away which rendered it useless for a couple of days for us! (We were so lost without it 😂) luckily it seems to have sorted itself out now 🙂

Bought by a caravan park conglomerate I believe, the intention is to wipe out information where caravan parks.

The ultimate Aussie hiking shoe 😁
Get into the Great Northern Beer you won't drink WA swamp water again
Haha I don’t mind great northern but it’s got nothing on export! 😁
