Prowling Geistcatcher is a great card in a deck like this one and is a reasonable alternative to some of theft effects that can be difficult to use over Spelltable
Great tech, but man I wish the BG3 party cards were better. Even from my VERY limited Magic experience I can tell they’re all range from bad to terrible 😭
Karlach, Jaheira, and Minsc are all pretty good, Gale is alright if a little gimmicky, and then Wyll is extremely fun (even if dice rolling is not a good strategy, he combos in a funny way with Delina, Wild Mage so he wins in my book)
They all needed background and partner. Also background sucks flavor and mechanic wise because it isn't just something you have attache to commanders to spice the game up further after partners its just a second version of that same thing

I like backrounds soooooo much better than generic partners
i like both i run partners with backgrounds in the 99

Jaheira and Astarion have actually a really important part on my Tolsimir and Eriette decks!
