I've always wished that I had convection since so many of your recipes you do in your oven with convection, but I never could. Now I'm revisiting your recipes and hoping that you'll teach me more about how to use convection! Love you, Refika! I had many of the very simple balik ekmek during my 2 months in Istanbul. They were a great grab-and-go option for lunch. There is a vendor in Kadiköy that uses pita bread which makes it very easy to eat. Fish, bread, lettuce, shaved white onion, a little lemon juice - very tasty! This version is a step up and looks great! Thanks for the video!

Looks yummy! Put it on corn tortillas with pickled onions and add a little cilantro (coriander leaves) to the sauce, and you have fish tacos. Looks so dang yummy!!!
What a beautiful presentation when you put it all together on the platter. I am always sad to waste contaminated flour or bread crumbs, so this is what I do now. I collect them in the freezer and re-use them when I have the opportunity. Some people may not be comfortable with this, but my sister is a microbiologist and she approves. In fact, she does it more than I do.

Hello! During my upbringing (am 60+ today) I was not taught to cook with fish from home. Therefore, there have been very few recipes for fish that I have cooked over the years. Since I have to follow a diet due to my health, which includes fish, I am looking for recipes for cooked fish that are also GOOD. Had some bad experiences there. But this looks really good and easy so I'll give it a try. Thanks for the recipe!

I find my low-fat store-bought mayo is just fine as a base for flavoured mayo- my picky foodie friends don't notice the difference!
