Today we look at the Mars Hydro 350 CFM inline fan. This caught my attention because it looked a lot like another blower that has been getting a lot of attention over the past year, the Ac infinity.
We set it up in our 4x8 grow tent as our intake blower. The insulation was fairly simple, we simply plug in the controller to the blower and the wire for the humidity and temperature sensor to the controller. Some of the cool features that i liked was the ability to control the the blower by temperature, it allows me to save a little bit of energy when the blower is not needed. I really like the display with its button to turn off the screen, that makes me feel a lot better about keeping my controller in the tent with my plants.
you CAN turn the "off" setting back on when in centigrade , i held both the up and down buttons together and it turns on when in auto mode i think ,
what i dont like about the fan, is that is does not maintain neg pressure,
its on or its off, what you need when it reaches the set temp is that it goes in to its lowest setting or better a preset setting and then would maintain neg pressure,
im a bit disappointed that it doesn't maintain neg, the selling point was " designed for growing" hardly

The new ac infinity controllers can now do scheduling and Bluetooth data app. Can someone tell Mars if they are gonna copy another companies products they should make it better not worse.
Jay do the infinity maintain neg pressure all the time ? Or like the mars and when reaches temp it shuts down?
how do I turn the alarm off completely?
I have the same thing. And when I turn it to automatic mode. It doesn’t turn on
i've been looking at the spider farmer kit it looks similar to my ac infinity wonder if its the same as this one
They look identical controller and all
why would you want the fan to come on if the temperature or the humidity drops?
Is the fan supposed to blow into the duct or into the tube
Do you happen to know of a fix for the controller. I get double zeros as a temp reading. I've seen other people having issues as well. This is a brand new fan.

If you are using hps lights they can interfere with the sensors
Have u tried another probe . Id imagine its not reading hence 00? Maybe
Thanks for the review. I have the same unit, but the controller has been an issue for me. I set the high temp limit, and usually It cycles on if it gets too hot and then shuts off when the temperature drops. Sometimes, however, even after the temperature drops, the fan keeps running. I have to physically turn the fan off.
I contacted Mars Hydro, and we exchanged the whole unit and the new one is doing the same thing. I'm assuming it's operator error, but I can't figure out what's going on.
Hi Mark I have not come across that specific issue yet man. In all honesty I feel these units were rushed to market. I am constantly hearing about new issues from fellow growers and most of these are things that should have been worked out in testing before mass production. If all possible I would try to get a refund and go with a more trusted brand of blower. Mars is known for lighting and it may take them a little while to get these blowers right.
@@downwithprohibition7364 FWIW, their CS has been very good at trying to assist me with this issue. After going back and forth with them, they're sending out another new unit at no cost to me, even though I originally bought it through Amazon. I'll let you know how that turns out.
oh, is Mars Hydro made in China?
Just to follow up, I did receive a new unit, and it's been working flawlessly for the past week. CS followed up as well to make sure everything was okay. Overall, they did a great job resolving my issue.

I'm having difficulty keeping the humidity up while using this as a exhaust rather then intake and have a humidifier in there already any suggestions? Also what heater would u recommend for a 4x4
Add another humidifier man, I have 2 in my tent to keep things the way I need them. If i stop venting or reduce my exhaust speed I overheat almost immediately. I dont like to suggest heaters as I don't use any to recommend a quality one.
They must have changed it because my fan display works in °C
Are you using just that for your inlet? Or other ones to , and can I ask what extractor your using ? Be really appreciated, lots respect bro frm 🇬🇧 U.K.
Yes this one is just used as an In take blower and I use a max fan 6inch pro series as an exhaust fan.

@@Jwg13No problem Jon... I am really not sure what heater would be best for in your tent. I see people use those tower heaters but I have never had a heater inside my tent for fire safety reasons. I prefer to heat the room my tents are in with a much more efficient oil rad heater. They seem to be the most efficient type of heaters on the market. Once they heat up they stay warm for a long time.
@@downwithprohibition7364 do you happen to know of a fix for the controller. My controller reads double zero for temp reading. It's a brand new fan. I've seen others have issues and they unplug and replug back in and its not working for me.
Naw dude i have not had any issues like that. I would reach out to mars and ask for a new one as something is defective.

You should check out the Terrabloom. Its a knockoff of the Hyper fan.
Thing is so small and efficient yet soooooooo powerful.
I will see what I can do Tim. I have seen it advertised on Facebook for the past few weeks. I plan on making a comparison video in the future with all these top selling blowers. Not many have broken all these down and actually tested them for cfm, power usage and noise. I would really like to test the ac infinity as well for this comparison so it might cost me a few bucks to get everything in order. together.
This is a China knock off of ac infinity’s cloudline T6. What’s funny is they are the same price but ac infinity’s is now smarter with minimum speed and app control.
Where i am AC Infinity is crap, their postage is a scam and trying to buy anything off them is a waste of time. So i'm glad these other companies are making similar products and making them easier to purchase. It might make AC Infinity do a better job serving their customers.

All this Chinese grow equipment even lights come from same factory's lol it's all relative. Good for Mars. They are better priced and more simple features!

Mars hydro ripped off ac infinity's controller with the exact samd programming. But screwed up and copied an older model from three years ago that has outdated features compared to ac infinity new controller 67 and 69. Mars hydro is your typical china company that doesn't know what its copying.

My unit,on auto,cycles on and off about every 10 min.
Starts up at 1deg.over and ramps down at 1 deg.under...again...and again..and again...aaaaargh!
Yeah that does not sound like its working properly. I would try a reset of the device and if that dont work then ask for a refund.
AC Infinity knock off. Even the controller software is identical to AC Infinity
The software is close but most definitely not identical. The ac infinity controller in my opinion is much better with its smart feature and usability. The concept though yes totally a copy 100%. The buttons layout, pretty much everything is the same.
@@downwithprohibition7364 they definitely copied ac infinity but did not duplicate. I’ve seen both and ac infinity is still superior in quality and functions.
@@downwithprohibition7364 yes to keep from being sued for copy right infringement they had to make a few minor changes. Like adding the green band and changing the orientation of the controller

you can't set min nor max fan speed ... what's up with that ?
Odor of the tent will escape a soon it shuts down ....
So the min temp is useles also , why would you run the the fan on the setting the same as the high temp setting 😂
For example at night when the lights go out , the temperature drops , en max setting shuts down the fan because it goes under max temp setting .
and when min temps are hitting , the fan goes back to full rpm's , because you can't set min and max settings so it will draw in more fresh air 😆.
At the same time , R/H will raise , so the fan wil goes on again back max set fan speed once you hit the settings .
This unit is so usseles !!
In every mode it just turn on the fan to same settings as all the other settings 🤷♂
