    Hi Samantha.
I am at 7 weeks now with a new knee Replacement.
You're seated/standing exercises have helped me enormously. My quads and legs are stronger. My balance is much better, I've so much more confidence walking without the aid of crutches.
    I thank you.
    Kindest regards
    Kevin Bowles ( England ).

Hi! Just discovered you today and am so grateful for your exercises on TKR. I'm 5 weeks post op and still dealing with sharp electrical stabbing pain on the right side of the knee replacement only when walking. Not during exercises, sitting or standing. Can you provide insight and an exercise to help ease and/or or eliminate this pain.

I am almost to 4 months and I had to take an anti- inflammatory for one month and I did well on it and help so much. I am now at 120 bend. I know for some they did amazing and I didn’t and that’s ok at 60. I’ve had so many say you’re still struggling and I say yes I am. Just move on and Just keep working on it. Mine is the strength I need back. You’ll get there. Work everyday at something on the knee. I love these videos, today is my first day doing these.

Hi Dr. Smith! Just started following you! Thank you very much! I can't afford to go back to PT. I'm just 7 months post op on my left knee. My right was done last year in August and it's doing great, but my left leg feels weak when I walk. I'm going to try these and see if it will help. My PT did say my left is weaker. My surgeon says I need more time. I'm just anxious as I need to lose weight and I can't walk well and exercise if my knee isn't working. Again, I thank you very much!❤

Suggestions for 3 months post total knee revision. Having no pain, minor swelling but the stiffness is an issue. I do knee bends throughout the day; squeezing my quads which has been an issue. Using the recumbent bike at gym, the elliptical bike (not sure what it is called), the knee press, etc. my knee still feels weak….is this normal at this place in my recovery. I think these are what I need…getting out of chair is still tough!

I am going into my sixth month of my second knee replacement. My first knee replacement (4 years ago) healed great and I don't even think about it. But my new knee replacement is not the same. For a long time there was pain on the outside of the knee. With PT and healing it now has migrated to the knee area not above. I have been doing your exercises and maybe that will help but I still have pain if I lift my leg to put my socks and shoes on, when I have to get out of the car when I am walking and I inadvertently twist my knee to the outside. Is this just a healing thing,.will it finally resolve itself. Any thoughts?

I had hip surgery in May the. Left knee in August and right knee in November 17 not two months return to work and using my total gym and bikes. I recover well from this horrible surgeries but know I can stand all day. My hip hurts more than my knees. Still can’t rise from a regular chair. Knees hurt so I don’t sit on low rider chairs.

When doing the last exercise in the chair, should the heels be flat on the floor, or can they raise slightly to get a better stretch?
Thank you for the video. I really like the exercises to step over the box or a bottle. I will try that right away along with the others.

    Hi Samantha,
3.5 months in after full knee replacement. Still very sore on outside of knee every day. Especially when sleeping also. What would you suggest to do for an exercise. I have tried all kinds of things. I was bone on bone before surgery and only hurt when I ran. Just concerned and all I get is that's normal. Thanks for your input

I am returning next week to a different facility. I’m trying to make up for the time that I lost. I’m trying to bend my knee several times a day.

Hello. I am 10 weeks out from my knee replacement. My insurance has denied anymore therapy. I am still struggling and looking for exercises that i can do on my own. My biggest issue is the muscle behind my knee gets so tight that sometimes it keeps me up at night.. what exercises can i do that will give it a good stretch? Also i have heard to concentrate on the bending and stretching that the strength with walking will come on its own. Is this true?
