Keychain MEGA Micro Bit Kit (pt 3)

- Опубліковано 27 лип 2019
- Here's the last entry of my three part series on how I fashioned a tiny multi-bit screwdriver for my keychain out of a sawed off Lutz 4-in-1 pen screwdriver. This video's MEGA micro bit kit makes it a 46-in-1 KEYCHAIN screwdriver! World's smallest! {and probably the only one too, ha-ha.]
Psst: I forgot that a reverse 4mm bit acts as a 4mm Allen wrench so the grand total in "sneaky" mode is 52, not 51. Only certain bits fit in this mode and some drilling of the pen cap was necessary. It was a tight fit and not recommended. My advice is to stick with "46-in-1".
The bits for this were taken from two "master kits" I leave back home due to their bulk. The double-sided bits are mostly from a "Powerbuilt 940506 30-In-1 Flexible Extendable Precision Screwdriver" and the single sided are from a "Precision Screwdriver Set - 108 in 1 Mini Screw Driver Magnetic Multibit Screwdriver Small Electronics Repair Tool Kit for Watch/Cell Phone/PC/Drone/Eyeglass Repair" [the name changes slightly depending on vendor]. Both sources cost around $16 and can be found on Amazon, etc. - Навчання та стиль
Love to see the ENTIRE collection, of EVERY tool in your position, all in one picture. "The obeseive put to good use."
These conversions of other product packages are genius! I mean, lots of people reuse packages, but not like this. You add serious value to these containers.
Wow... just....wow. You think outside, inside, and find a use for every corner and crevice of the box! Thank you ! Your ingenuity never fails to impress!
You are an authentic “Gadget Guru” ..... love all your videos very informative and loads of critical forethought engineered into them !!
im caninesensual
This is the longest, most fascinating video about bits I have ever watched! And I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to all things screwy! Bravo, sir!
One of the best series you have done! Would love to see how you make the bit holder out of the fruit container
Thanks. I used the large, flat lid of a watermelon/pineapple spears container as my "cardboard" to cut out and fold up a box pretty similar to a typical Amazon shipping box but instead of glue to hold it all together, at one seam, I used clear tape. It doesn't have to be terribly strong and rigid since the outer Tic Tac box is the part that takes the beating in pocket carry.
You follow through on the little ideas I have and forget every day. Bravo!
I get excited every time I see you put up a new video
I always enjoy watching these videos.
Bravo! I love the internal organizer!
I think you're having way too much fun with this ;) I enjoy watching your immense creativity! Great ideas!!!
Great as always! Keep it going!
THAT is IMPRESSIVE -- Nice Work!! 👍
not bad idea.i have fit a gerber bit adapter to my victorinox swiss champ phillips screwdriver and i keep the bit holder in my wallet.so this mega micro kit could be cool to have many bits to my wallet.
absolutely outstanding work as always. This is the most fun, practical channel on youtube. thank you! -Jamie
Thanks Jamie
Thank you so much for all of your incredible ideas. Love your videos. Please include links to where you got your bits from.
Thanks. I buy almost everything from Amazon or Ebay and the names of the kits are shown at 9:55 [Powerbuilt 940506] and 10:02 [currently called: Screwdriver Tool Set, M.Way 108 in 1 Precision Screwdriver Set Multi-function Magnetic Tool Kit for iPhone X, 8, 7 below / Phone / Computer / Tablet / Xbox / PlayStation / electronic "]
@@MeZillch Thank you!
Really awesome idea
Thanks for that great inspiration. I have used on of the "Tic tac Lilliput" boxes thei are very smal and i made a inlay wich holds 8 of that mini Bits
This is brilliant.
This was an awesome video. Love the way you show how to put this together. I have questions about the shrink wrap in a couple of your other videos.
Very cool video.
I like it, I like it. Another man solution.
👊👊
Really great.
Thanks again that was awesome to see keep up the good work, i love your videos, s
Thanks for the video.
What you need to add is some way to put in a strong, but not too hard, torque stick for the triangular side hole, no longer than your TicTac box. Out and about my common problem is sticky screws.
If of the 46 bits you make it a point to carry, one of them is the extra long double sided bits (two come with the original Lutz pen screwdriver) then you have an extra torque bar as I show in action here: 18:38
Dude a 3d printer would change your life. I would love to see what you could do with one
Those are "cheating". Ha ha. The real fun is figuring out how to make things and re-purpose things to make what you need.
Did you teach Mcgyver when he was a kid? This is some next level thinking.
Good idea. Thanks
Super! Thanks for sharing!
Dear mezillch.
Can you please update one of your altoids tins? Those videos are the best! Really like those the most!
Hope to hear from you. Kind regards from Holland
I’ve been a fan of your channel for YEARS! I really miss your altoids kit videos. Can you please do an updated one??
Thnaks. I have an emergency tool kit in an Altoids tin I haven't made a video for yet. Some day. I have a lot of work at the moment and not enough time for video making at the moment.
MeZillch No problem man. I appreciate you took time to reply. Have a good one!!
Ich mag es wie du denkst, super Ideen
Good job!
Thanks
Maestro.
FYI. I know you've shown how to add micro (4mm) bits to the skeletool cs; but you can use the same trick to use 1/4 inch bits to the large skeletool! I only tried it because of your examples! Thx!
Thanks but I no longer suggest that to people because one guy reported that it broke his tool. I felt bad so I offered to buy him a new one but he told me he appreciated the gesture but there was no need since Leatherman replaced it for free. Anyways the moral of the story is it may be dangerous to use that trick under high torque situations.
MeZillch :(. Still good for low torque & in a pinch :). Also, another mod for "Mack" : 2 holes in blade-part, 1 in sheath. & Save part of inner tape roll for labeling. photos.app.goo.gl/AbjB9tiuaU4d6kik8
@@enriquediaz7547 GREAT ideas! Thanks. [For some reason your posts end up in my UA-cam "Held for review" file, which I rarely check, so I don't see them when you post them, BTW.]
Does the end of a large tic tac box fit in the mini one as a sort of “luxury, one piece bit tray” , thanks for the awesome content
They make two sizes of box I buy. The little boxes can fit in the big ones entirely with enough spare room to hold more things if needed.
I suggest filling in the name on the bits with black nail polish for better visibility. (White if the bits are black)
Maybe you could stash bits in your parabracelet
Neat
Great video!
How is the compact red set at 5:09 named?
"Victorinox Bits & Wrench in Pouch, Nylon" . Also consider the similar "Victorinox Ratchet with Bit Case 5 Bits for Swisstool Spirit Multi-Tool"
Thank you very much for your reply.
I like your videos and I am now subscribed with the notification-bell activated ;)
i was wondering if you ever tried to use and camel snuss cans for making kits. i think they would make great containers as they have a built in sealing gasket in the lid. i have a bunch of them and have used them for storing all kinds of bit and such.
its snus actually
@@cwbynnjavkng8116 No. I never have. I've played around with some pipe tobacco containers but after some experimentation I found the seal, although it had a rubber gasket, wasn't actually water tight so I lost interest.
i can understand that. figured id ask as they still are pretty cool containers imo. they are not hinged containers but i still find them useful. i also had a few small oliver twist plastic containers that i have find to be useful even though they are small
in size. i have even used the altoid “breath” strip sliding containers to store very small items. i think your videos are super cool. i am always amazed at your ingenuity and repurposing /modifying skills.
@@cwbynnjavkng8116 Thanks
Gee I wish I was your neighbor, 👍🏼
Alguien que sepa español y me diga donde compro el adaptador que usa para las puntas :(

R u ok Mike? We're missing your videos
I'm fine, thanks for asking though. Just been too busy with work and other things to make vids. . . . I have some on a back burner though so stay tuned.
Did you try this on tight screws? I think you cannot turn this thingy with much force...
Using the supplied extended length bit at a right angle "T-bar configuration" in the main body gives plenty of torque for tight screws: ua-cam.com/video/OosIrucNwSE/v-deo.html
Where did you get it or how to make that mini screwdriver holder? Please Reply My friend
Watch part 1 and 2. Here's Part 1: ua-cam.com/video/OosIrucNwSE/v-deo.html
got it my friend. thanks for replying i appreciate it.
Are those bits from precision kits?
Many companies make these 4mm diameter bits, including Victorinox and Wiha, but my main sources are shown with on screen text at 9:54 and 10:02
They are also now listed in the UA-cam notes under the video.
When ia tactical tin coming?
My problem is it is constantly evolving with new tools. Take for instance the one in this video. So it becomes obsolete every time I concoct a new mini tool. I will post something on one of its versions though so stay tuned. No promises on when. Thanks for your interest though.

R u on any amphetamines? Prescribed or other?
I have shaky hands and it is exaggerated by caffeine but since it doesn't bother me and I love caffeine I drink lots of it.
@@MeZillch yeah fair enough, I can't start the day w'out one either. Hope that wasn't rude, was genuinely curious. I think you're a strange and unique bloke, in the best way
