Have to be done in 30 days once you use your first segment, but would be a good way to take your planned Amtrak routes while also doing stop offs along the way. Keep in mind Amtrak is not a punctual service, so give yourself some buffer time.
You've worked really hard. 322 videos out of 365 days is crazy! You've been pumping out videoa like crazy and I haven't had the time to watch every single one. And i take more days off in a year 😅 But i bet making exploration videos is more fun than work. But 2024 was an achievement as you did reach half a million subs so thats awesome. Gonna continue following your adventures in 2025. Have fun! But also rest! Take more days off if needed. Cheers!
Riverboat trip up the Mississippi? Honestly, to me, the charm of your channel is visiting the local tourist traps. Theme parks are great but it’s the hidden treasures most of us miss that are awesome! Finding those in Hawaii would be cool.
Definitely love the idea of seeing more trains in your videos! I’ve done a handful of train-oriented videos myself so my top suggestions are the Roaring Camp Steam Train near Santa Cruz (gives you a good chance to visit Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!) and if you make it to the middle of Nebraska, going to the Golden Spike observation tower that looks over the largest rail yard IN THE WORLD! Both very fun times!
Hi, Jacob, I have traveled by Amtrak trains almost over their whole routes. The routes you mentioned you may try out of Chicago are all a good choice. I will recommend that you do this trip between the spring or fall time as long as you avoid holidays. Amtrak has gotten like the airlines in that they price their tickets by the demand they anticipate. Summer is always the hardest time to get the reservation you may want. Do your research on what cities you want to stop at since you need to reserve your seat or room you want to reserve. On overnight portions of your trips the roomette is fine fore one person. On the trains you will be ridding they use double deck trains called Superliners. There is less noise and to go through cars you to other cars you need to be on the second level. If you ride in a sleeping car your meals are included in your fare in the full service dinning car. If you ride coach you can eat lighter food and snacks type food in the lounge car. If you do choose to eat in the diner car sleeping car passengers have first choice for reservations and prices especially for diner is a little on the high side. The first train The California Zepher leaves Chicago in late afternoon and the next morning you will be in Denver, Co. This is a good city to plan a stopover. They have a great station with a hotel in it and there are plenty of things to see and do in Denver. They have a next portion of the trip is not to be missed. Your train climbs through the mountains and you go through several tunnels including one of the longest in America. After that your train runs along the Colorado River and there are many scenic vistas from her to Salt Lake City. Again this is a good city to schedule a stopover. There is the Morman Temple to see as well as other things to explore. Leaving Salt Lake City again the next day you will go over the mountains into California. If you like trains and their history you could also stop at Sacramento which besides being the state capital has a great railroad museum that features many old trains as well as history of California railroads. You also do not necessarily have to stay overnight here since Amtrak does offer several trains a day between here and Oakland with a connection to San Francisco This is where you will pick up your next train to Seattle. This route also goes through both mountain and other scenic areas. Unfortunatly you will have missed some of this routes scenic points on the points Morty from Los Angeles where it has views of the Pacific Ocean. But there still is plenty to see on your way to Seattle. Again if you choose you can stop over in Portland that has interesting things to see and has a good light rail system to get around to see the city or suburban areas. Amtrak again offers several trains a day between Portland and Seattle so you do not have to only use the Coast Starlight to get to Seattle. After Seattle the Empire Builder is also a very scenic train ride back to Chicago. You start out from Seattle running past the Washington coast line and then go through the mountains with good vistas along the way. I did not stop at any cities on this route back to Chicago so I can not give any recommendations here. However I have visited Minneapolis several times so if you want to check out this city on the way back it has several attractions including Mall of America to see and is accessible by their light rail line so you do not need to rent a car. Amtrak also just added a second train on the route between St. Paul which is where the station for Minneapolis is located and Chicago. So again you have a choice of trains to use to get back to Chicago. One last note. Amtrak long distance trains usually run late on their assigned schedules so do not reserve any connections between trains that are closer than several hours apart. The shorter routes can also experienced delays but usually have a better chance of running on time. Have a great 2025 travel adventures. I look forward to seeing where you go and what we will see with you. Keep up with your health and do as now and take the time necessary to stay healthy.
We really enjoy your videos including your challenges and "the year of ..." themes. Here's our suggestion: You mentioned wanting to go to more National Parks. Why not try to visit EVERY U.S. National Park during your travels? There's 63 of them. Some are near one another. Some you've already visited, so it seems like a doable challenge, especially for someone like you. It could possibly coincide with your other challenges. Looking forward to your 2025 adventures. Have fun! All the best.
@@Callie83 Commercial filming at national park for 1-2 people with just a camera and tripod is $0 and filling out a permit form. Most people just do it without filling out the form. Doesn't cost any money because he doesn't have a crew. Guidelines changed in 2022 after court cases bounced it around.
Happy New Year, Jacob! Your new plans sound great. The two coastal road trips are fantastic ideas. The train travel is so much fun, for sure get a roomette - you get privacy and three meals a day with that. Then you can sit in the observation car, gaze out the windows and watch the beautiful world go by. As far as the collectibles go, how about just simple, local postcards? Good luck and happy trails for 2025. We'll be with you all year long. Dave & Mave
I took this zephyr from Emeryville, California to Chicago the best train trip ever. I think you’ll really love it now you will be talking to a lot of strangers that didn’t bother me. I don’t know if that will bother you and also when you’re on the train make sure you book the biggest room it’s worth the money and make sure to stay near the train because it only stops for 15 to 20 minutes so don’t go wandering off or the train will leave without you
The Witch's DungeonWAX MUSEUM in Plainville, CT!! The guy the owns it is amazing! His uncle was in the original Werewolf in London. He's got great movie props, some of his own wax work (he did one of the monsters that was on the Monsters Cafe at Universal Studios FL), and incredible stories! He knew Vincent Price and he even did the museum introduction! You and Adam the Woo would love it!!
2025 on the CB Channel sounds exciting! Hawaii!!!! Wow! Can’t wait. I’ve never been on a train like Amtrak before either (just theme parks and local train excursions). I would save the cruise part for next year and do an ALASKA cruise! That would be amazing 🤩 Also… my little town of Boyertown, PA has an amazing automotive museum AND a vintage steam locomotive that does small excursions. It’s about 25 minutes from the American Treasure Museum in Oaks, PA. - Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles -Colebrookdale Railroad
Recommend the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco. It's a 51 hr trip. Make sure you AT LEAST get a Roomette or larger. Also, if you're taking the PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy) make sure you do your research. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!! There are areas where bridges are out, long stretches of no towns or gas, you can get stuck behind SLOW RV's for miles. But, it is a beautiful drive if you do it. A cruise? Sounds like fun but I think Jen would be miserable. Hawaii: rent a car, take a drive around the island. Go see the Arizona Memorial. Drive the H3 across, up and over the mountains (get's cold). Future: take a river rafting trip on the Colorado River (Grand Canyon). PS. Don't forget, you need the "REAL ID" this year to fly.
Something to be aware of for your West Coast Highway 1 and 101 Journey; once you get past San Simeon on Highway one on the way up to Monterey sometimes the highway gets closed about 50 miles up the road you might want to check for that before you start up there because it’s a 66 mile stretch with no gas stations and if you have to turn around, it’s like 30 miles Back-to get to Highway 46 that takes you to the 101. Sounds like some great trips Jacob, look forward to seeing your adventures in 2025.🙏👍☮️
We are SO excited for you to try traveling by train! We suggest that you bring your own snacks. The food on Amtrak isn’t great and it’s expensive. They should let you use the microwave to warm things up. We watch all your videos and we appreciate all you do-it’s so much fun to follow you wherever you go.
They will not let you use the microwave on the train. Only food they sell can be cooked on board. They say this is because of federal health regulations.
The trip you're talking about taking on the train - Zephyr to Starlight to Empire Builder - is the exact trip my wife and I took for our 20th anniversary. Glenwood Springs is a stop on the Amtrak line, so that's worth a journey. And if you like tiki stuff, the original Trader Vic's is within 10 minutes of the Emeryville station where the Zephyr lets off. Enjoy! It's an incredible way to see the country.
That's so cool you're taking new modes of transportation! I'm currently on a journey to do 40 new things this year and a train ride is one of them! I agree that going to national parks is a good idea. If you ever need a podcast tip, National Parks After Dark is a great one to listen to 😊excited for this year of videos.
The east and west coast trip should include the off the beaten path, roadside attractions. That is what made your channel in the first place. The big, commercial and done to death attractions are really losing their "flavor." Let's see even more of what we never see. Happy 2025, Jacob. 😀
Thanks for all the adventures of 2024. A couple of suggestions for your West Coast run. 1) RaggedPoint off CA 1. It is a bit north of San Simeon. 2) Trees of Mystery in Klammath CA off the 101. Happy trails, Jacob.
National Parks would be great!! Check out the Sea Lion Caves on the coast of Oregon when you do your coast visit. There are lots to see......also check out Hug Point. You can see the old wagon wheel ruts in the rocks from the old road that "hugged" the coast!! It is very beautiful. Also some very good museums on Lewis and Clark at Cape Disappointment and Fort Clatsop!!
My friends just took a train to California for their honeymoon; though I’m not sure which train they took. Thank you for a great year and have fun and be safe in 2025!
Took a hwy 101 trip with my family a few years ago. We went in September and it was perfect weather. You avoid the summer fog in the northern California redwoods. Oregon coast is breathtaking! So excited for you to take this trip. Take your time and enjoy.
Seems like during the summer months the coast can get too much fog. I've heard from locals that nice weather inland usually means fog for the coast. So September is a great time to be on the 101.
I’m so excited for this year I gotta know about the train I wanna go from Sacramento to Vancouver Washington and I’ve always wanted to overnight so I’m super excited
Ever heard of US-83 called "the Road to Nowhere" going from the Canadian border at North Dakota to the Mexican border through Texas? Also, there is historic US Route 6 or US highway 6 going from the extreme tip of Cape Cod in Massachusetts all the way through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado through to California.
Your plans for 2025 are interesting. I'm sure all your future videos will be enjoyable and entertaining as they have been in the past. "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" All aboard! 😁Jacob, you're the Best!
Hello Jacob and Happy New Year . 610 Pennys, wow almost 2 a day. That was the year of the penny. Planes, trains, and automobiles, sounds amazing, my only suggestion is please get a travel agent to help. They can save you some money and a lot of hassle. If you can find the right one they can also help pay some of the bills for you. As far as experiences, while you're on US1, you could stop in Daytona Beach and get a ride around Daytona International Speedway, and don't forget Kennedy Space Center. Again Happy New Year and best wishes for a great year to come.
Yesss! please take care of your health first and foremost. Think about getting a colonoscopy for there are more younger folks having colon cancer. The coastal route sounds like it would be fun! also the train videos! I know it will be a fun filled 2025 with you.
I think you should do a small 3 day cruise to see if you like it! I went to the Bahamas and went to Atlantis. It was a fun girls trip! It’s nice not having to worry about driving you can just relax and see the shows and dinner. It’s a good way to have a stress free vacation. I think you and Jenn would have fun. There’s a lot to do on the boat you really don’t feel trapped. Do research on different boats to find one more fitting to you guys. I would not go on Caribbean it’s cheeper but has more of a younger crowd and offer things like night clubs you probably wouldn’t be interested in.
So happy to hear you are coming to Florida this year! 🐊 Happy to hear about Hawaii too! That’s going to be a beautiful trip! 🌴 can’t wait for the content ❤. Enjoy your down time and don’t stress about your procedure you are going to do great 👍🏻 love you Jacob 🎉
As a Chicago Native, I’m a huge fan of train travel! Super excited by all your ideas and my resolution is to watch more of this channel! Thanks for working so hard for us.
Love the 2025 plans! You certainly deserve a little break time. You'll be in my prayers for a speedy recovery. Please know that you and Jenn keep me smiling. I watched your year in review and thought what a a wonderful life. I'm so glad I get to experiance it with you! You're the bomb!! Thanks for everything you do! God Bless
This will be my second cruise I will be going on this February. Surprisingly there is a lot to do on a cruise. Plus, you get to go to new places like the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Mexico, etc. You could even take an Alaskan cruise!
Hey Jacob. We live up near Ft Kent in Maine. Hope ya have a great time when your up this way (wait till its a little more... summerish though. lol, its *checks thermometer* 2 degrees out right now. Make sure you hit Acadia national park on the way up (or down) Its breathtaking.
You take all the time you need Jacob 🤗 you've more than entertained us this past year ❤ we'll all be here when ur ready. Good luck with Jacob's recovery Jenn 🙏 ❤
Hi Jacob, sounds like you have some great adventures planned this year! I have wanted to see your take on Routes 1 and 101 for some time, so looking forward to those. Train trips definitely work better in Europe than in the U.S. I definitely think your plan can work, but keep in mind Amtrak trains are almost always delayed by at least an hour (sometimes much more than that.) Doing long distance all at once can be long, but my experiences have been quite enjoyable plus it will offer a new perspective on traveling across the country. If anything, it can be quite relaxing. The California Zephyr will have an observation lounge, so I definitely recommend utilizing that for filming the scenery.
You should check into the Strasburg railroad in PA, its just a train ride but its a steam engine, may be worth a stop since its on the way down route 1
i know that it might take a couple years but it would be fun to see every spooky stop in each state; for example we in my state can do a paranormal thing at the old sate pen and have attractions at very well known haunted orphanage, either way im going to keep coming back to these videos!
I've been to Oahu, Hawaii. A few suggestions: fly during daylight hours, rent a car, stay in a hotel that's not directly on the beach, ABC stores are your best friend, and visit Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the North Shore for the best sunset ever.
Maybe you could put the pressed pennies in a Mason jar or any type of glass jar. Then you can see them through the glass and can shake the jar rotating the pennies.
Happy 2025 to you and Jen! For Hawaii, I can say Volcanos National Park is incredible. Kauai, Maui, and the big island of Hawaii are my favorite islands. Oahu is just too touristy and busy for my tastes. But then again, I love all the National Parks in the US, which get very crowded. Anyway, we’re looking forward to seeing your year of planes, trains, and automobiles!
Hearst Castle is an awesome place. Capitola is a nice coastal town. Oh, and they have an Ocean View Taco Bell in Pacifica . Enjoy Mexi melts watching 🏄♂️. lol
I am concerned about you on overnight trips on Amtrak. The electrical outlets in the room might not be convenient to the bed for your CPAP. Maybe bring an extension cord and/or power strip? Also their wifi might not be great. There's a UA-cam vlogger who reviewed some trips he took on Amtrak. His channel is The Elevator Channel. Also, a fun train is the one from Williams AZ to the Grand Canyon. Sometimes "cowboy outlaws" board the train to "rob" the passengers. It is just a short walk from the train station at the Grand Canyon to the lookout/scenic views of the Grand Canyon.
For your Halloween visits, consider Markoff's Haunted Forest in Maryland. The primary attraction is a long forest walk featuring amazing, large scale scenes having traditional and novel Halloween themes. Also, you could knock off several haunted venues by attending the chaperoned tours of five or six Halloween attractions during the two days prior to the East Coast Haunters Convention in April. Safe travels.
Hi Jacob, Good luck with all your personal appointments. I have to be honest, I am very thankful for every video you post. I appreciate your dedication to your fans. We understand if you need time to not post, but I would love a post every day lol. Thank you for sharing your lifes adventures with us. Wishing all the best.
My favorite spots in Hawaii are Hanauma Bay just past Waikiki. The snorkeling is absolutely amazing, incredible colorful fish and turtles, and you don't need to know how to swim, just wear a life vest. The North shore is fun to watch the surfers. On a different island the "grand canyon of Hawaii" is great and you don't need to hike that much, you can see a lot from the car. A place on the big island you can rent kayaks and often dolphins will swim right up next to you. There is a place where they "used to" do sacrifices. I believe it is an actual sacred site, you may smell dead animals there, and may have altered perceptions for awhile. Don't reveal the location if you go there. I love Death Valley National park, just outside the park in Amargosa valley is the Amargosa Opera house. The rooms are very old with paintings right on the walls, Red Sketon used to like to stay there. Another place that you may encounter altered perception.
Aww, I'm going to miss you saying "dirigible" at the end of each video. lol. Looking forward to whatever adventures you take us on! You may also want to look into other trains outside of Amtrak. There aren't a whole lot, and most are short 1-3 day mini vacays instead of strict means of transport, but they are gorgeous and full of history. There's the Durango & Silverton, the Grand Canyon Railway, the Lancaster Railroad, or if you venture into Canada there's the Rocky Mountaineer.
In Oregon you should visit the McMinnville Air Museum(Spruce Goose), in Newport visit the Aquarium & of course Ripleys. Also a great car trip would be Newport OR to Boston MA. Cant wait for this year!
Hey Jacob...great to hear your doing a train trip. I took the California Zephyr trip back in 2022 from Chicago to Sacramento. It's a different way to travel. Giving your wanting to do this trip in the winter understand that given the route it takes the weather can matter. Also understand the train schedule isn't 100%. The train usually is always late. On our trip out we ran about 4 hours late getting into Sacramento and that included a shorten stay in Denver which is usually hour or so stop If you have any questions about Amtrak and that California Zephyr trip I would be glad to answer any questions you might have.
I took the Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco and it was totally AWESOME! In addition Steamtown National Historic Site is AWESOME, that is located in Scranton, PA. I come from a Railroading family both sides and I love trains. I think you will too! I did volunteer work at Steamtown and it was a lot of fun. Sounds like you have an exciting year planned. Best of luck!!! Your faithful follower!!!
Thanksgiving Point is in my backyard 😂 I mailed you a pressed penny from The Living Planet Aquarium in Utah, one of The Claw which you probably passed driving from Lagoon to Springville. It is a cool roadside attraction that was originally a stage prop from a U2 Tour. I think you should glue them onto a display board into a big pressed penny shape & put 2024 on it & frame it to hang in your house. It would probably be easy to do & you can display it. 😊
I am so excited to see you travel by train. It has always been a dream of mine and going along with you works too. Great plans for the coming year and I know you will do them with the professionalism and grace that you do all your films. Thank you for being you!
On the 101, you MUST visit Solvang CA (there is an Emu farm where you can feed Emus), and in Oregon, the Sea Lion Caves for sure!!!! If you can be in Long Beach, CA in August you need to come to Midsummer Scream- it's like California's version of Transworld, it's amazing!!!
DO AN ALASKA CRUISE! I feel trapped on cruise ships. I'd suggest starting out somewhere you will have amazing views and lots of ports. I enjoy that more than the ship.
This sounds like a very exciting year. A year of new experiences and adventures. The train travel sounds so exciting and fun, there are so many things that you can't see any other way, so make sure you research which side of the train is the best to ride on for each trip. I am a daily watcher so I really am looking forward to these new adventures. I wish I could remember when I started watching you, is there a way for a person to see when they subscribed I wonder? It's been a long time to know that. It was one of my first channels I subscribed to.
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 thanks for sharing this. That's a lot of Penny, it was good to see Jenny Penny on Livestream for a little bit last Friday. You take care. Here in Louisville Kentucky we have snow 🌨️
Looking forward to watching more adventures for 2025. Trains are so much fun. Just looking at the windows and enjoy the view. Maui is my favorite Island. Whale watching. Seven sacred pools. International marketplace and Polynesian cultural center and snorkeling, of course
Crescent City, California It's the most northern city/town along the coast, before entering Oregon. There's a lighthouse, beautiful rocky shoreline w islands, there are sea lions, an aquarium and quirky gift shops. That's all I got for California, it's the only place in that state that I've ever been to. 37:19
I love the Trains, Planes, and Automobiles idea for 2025!! I do have some ideas that may peak your interest! Why not, at some point, rent a supercar for a few hours!! Specifically the DDE Lamborghini Huracan available at Royalty Exotics in Vegas! Then you could maybe take a ride in a fighter jet, or helicopter tour with no doors? Honestly, anything you do, it’s going to be another great year on your channel!
And away we go! I am completely behind 2025 as the year of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The California Zephyr and the Empire Builder are ones I've wanted to do myself, but keep in mind the City of New Orleans, Chicago to New Orleans, there's a song about it by Arlo Guthrie. And Hawaii! I'd look into the Night Marchers, but that's just me. And you're already international, unless you can't count Canada and Mexico. And what do I want to see? Whatever you decide to show me, my friend. Also, the honk from Jen gave me the giggles. Not sure why.
As far as suggestions for places in Hawaii: Obviously any natural site (lots of walking tho), the sugarcane plantation tour (also some walking, but VERY enlightening), and if you time it right you can make the 50th State Fair (to check off a state fair). Oh, and if you can find a museum of Hawaiian ghosts, that too. Hawaii has some of the best ghost stories! 💚💚💚
The train trips and the highway trips are something I am excited to see. Every UA-camr goes to Hawaii and Alaska. The trains and the coastal road trips are unique. I loved the Mississippi road trip and all the small town exploration.
You need to go to Mountain View, Arkansas. Folk Music Capital of the World. Ozark Folk Center is located there. 14 miles from there is Blanchard Springs Caverns.
Consider getting the USA Rail Pass for your train trips. For $499 you get an economy seat for 10 "segments" (you can board and exit trains 10 times, each time you exit counts as one segment). Have to be done in 30 days once you use your first segment, but would be a good way to take your planned Amtrak routes while also doing stop offs along the way. Keep in mind Amtrak is not a punctual service, so give yourself some buffer time.
I've never been on a train, so that would be an awesome trip to watch you take
2025 sounds like it will be exciting. Looking forward to see where you will take us. Good luck with your surgery.
2025 is going to be a great year with the carpetbagger❤ 🚆 ✈️ 🚗
Oh my God those road trips are gonna be so much fun. I cannot wait Jacob.

No, thank you!

ME 2
I was just talking to my husband about how cool it would be if you went to Hawaii! So excited for your videos this year!! 😊
@haleighcallender1991 i told my husband about it too. I said we're going to Hawaii, well through Jacob but we're going!
I live in Sevierville this year I'm going to do the year of miniature golf so many fun ones out here

I love Witches Dungeon, and Cortlandt is amazingggggggg. I take the 12 hour drive every year to relive it
2025 on the CB Channel sounds exciting! Hawaii!!!! Wow! Can’t wait. I’ve never been on a train like Amtrak before either (just theme parks and local train excursions).
I would save the cruise part for next year and do an ALASKA cruise! That would be amazing 🤩
Also… my little town of Boyertown, PA has an amazing automotive museum AND a vintage steam locomotive that does small excursions. It’s about 25 minutes from the American Treasure Museum in Oaks, PA.
- Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles
-Colebrookdale Railroad
You caught me off guard with Hawaii! I think so many of us thought it would be Alaska! Lol How awesome! This is going to be a great year. 😊
@@alliekuma4234 we're going to Hawaii, I'm so excited 😊 🤗
Sugar pine railroad up by Bass Lake Ca. , also the Skunk Train Both are only one day rides . north central Ca. and northern Cali.
Sounds like some great trips Jacob, look forward to seeing your adventures in 2025.🙏👍☮️
I love the theme for 2025😊 All your pressed coins are amazing. The bank is the chef's kiss.
Possibly save the cruise for Alaska! Great update!
If you do make it up here to Seattle, there are a bunch of new Dambo Trolls you can check out!
I am so so excited for the 2025 planes trains and automobiles adventures I'm so here for it I can't wait😊❤
Make sure you visit Camden and Belfast Maine on your East Coast road trip. Beautiful towns
The east and west coast trip should include the off the beaten path, roadside attractions. That is what made your channel in the first place. The big, commercial and done to death attractions are really losing their "flavor." Let's see even more of what we never see. Happy 2025, Jacob. 😀
Good luck with your procedure, I hear it’s nothing to worry about.
Bike down Mountain Haleakala in Hawaii! Do an overnight hiking trip. Skydive!
Awesome I can't wait to see the train videos
Excited to see where you go this year, wishing you a year of safe travels and happy memories
Thanks for all the adventures of 2024.
A couple of suggestions for your West Coast run.
1) RaggedPoint off CA 1. It is a bit north of San Simeon.
2) Trees of Mystery in Klammath CA off the 101.
Happy trails, Jacob.
confusion hill a roadside attraction along highway 101 recommended when driving along Highway 101
He also needs to see Prehistoric Gardens in Port Orford.
Great Lakes trips would be interesting too some year.
I’m so excited for this year I gotta know about the train I wanna go from Sacramento to Vancouver Washington and I’ve always wanted to overnight so I’m super excited
My wife and I did our 1st cruise last year to give it a go to see if we liked it.
It was awesome.
Love to see you do a Canadian road trip.
Durango & Silverton train ride in Colorado is AMAZING!! The ride is gorgeous!!
Gonna be a great year! Mt. Airy, NC drops a sheriff's badge for Andy Griffith every New Year! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When doing the California Zephyr, plan to stop and stay at a hotel when approaching night and grab the next train in daylight.
I thought they only run once a day. If the train arrives at a city in the middle of the night, the next one comes in the middle of the next night.
Really excited for 2025 and following along. Wish you all the best as you venture into new adventures!
Your plans for 2025 are interesting. I'm sure all your future videos will be enjoyable and entertaining as they have been in the past. "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" All aboard! 😁Jacob, you're the Best!
Hi Carpetbagger, there are pressed Penny's display items and ideas on the Internet! Just put in pressed Penny's display!
If you get a chance check out Strasburg Pa the Railroad Museum and then you can branch off to Lancaster and Amish country. It’s a blast!!!
I hope you're able to visit multiple islands while you're in Hawaii. There is so much to offer on each
I think you should do a small 3 day cruise to see if you like it!
Happy to hear about Hawaii too!
Let’s Go Packing my bags now This is going to be so much fun this year can’t wait
When my parents and I visited Maine in the 90s, we went to Cadillac mountain. That was really neat and special to us as we live in Cadillac Michigan
Jacob, I have been on all three train routes you mentioned. You are going to have a blast!
Enjoy and I look forward to your vlogs on this adventure.
Don't collect physical items this year. You have a lot of items already. I like the idea of collecting experiences, like the carousel.
To add to the newness while in Hawaii do a helicopter tour😊
The Carpetbagger you tube crhannel Love my favorite one fan BIG 😊 Happy New YEAR 2025 🎉
Until the end of this year, when the new Bucees opens in Goodyear Arizona, I'm gonna do my road trip then
Aww, I'm going to miss you saying "dirigible" at the end of each video.
YES!!!! Hwy 1, Kings highway ❤! We've been waiting for this trip!!! 😊
On our trip out we ran about 4 hours late getting into Sacramento and that included a shorten stay in Denver which is usually hour or so stop
If you have any questions about Amtrak and that California Zephyr trip I would be glad to answer any questions you might have.
Crescent City, California
It's the most northern city/town along the coast, before entering Oregon.
Do you still have your PO box carpetbagger? I have something cool to send you for your wall behind you in your bunker. You will love it👌
I'm keeping my decorations up another week. This was the first year in a long time I was in the spirit. You helped with that btw. Thank you!
