Man there’s just something magical about the 80s. Everyone talks about it. Maybe it was the simpler times. High school and college. Our formative and fun years. And now as our families are growing older. Our kids go to college and break out on their own we realize we’ve crossed that line. The best times are behind us.
That’s called nostalgia. It’s something we all long for. It’s a mixture of sadness because the moment is gone, but at the same time, a longing of not letting go because of the good feeling it gives us.
I've been a poet and started singing at 50 only because of being locked at home during Covid, and these 80's singers have taught me as much as anyone in my first year singing, 2000 hours in and 700 recordings in my first year, loving singing, other poets should try transitioning, good luck

One of the greatest love sogs ever, and John still sings it with conviction. We all try to cope by saying we don'miss our beloved, but our hearts ache with the truth. Silver lining: The ache grows the love despite the hurt.
Love all the songs of the late 70's and 80's. Thank God for all the great memories we have. Yes, music was the best then, times were easier, and we feel sorry for what passes for music now.
Always loved and still love this song. Waite has a great voice, just the perfect amount of smooth and rough. Welcome as a citizen of the USA John. Always great to gain great citizens, and especially great musicians. Looking forward to hearing more great music from you. Can't wait to get more great songs from you.
Hello Duff , As one of those so-very-blessed males may I make clear that it's not ever taken as a 'granted' ... I know of the 'difficulties' that some brothers are encumbered with in this regard . All be well .
As pure and perfect as it was when I first heard his vocals almost four decades ago. John is a real singer's singer! May God keep and bless you, Sir!!!
I can never get tired of this classic 80s song!!!!. John still looks great!!!!. Now let me go back even further and play Every Time I Think Of You followed by Change 😄❤️❤️👍
Thank you John and the band for this fabulous song that STILL has the power to move, fantastic beat and melody and lyrics too! Great performance...Love this.
My 11 & 13 year old hear me singing to this and they say "there's that song from Warm Bodies" and I say no, there's that song from the 80's I grew up with and never stopped grooving to. John Waite is still the man. Take it back to 1984 just for a little bit...
Great job, wow John you haven’t aged none. Loved you since Bad English. I’m a 80’s girl. And we had the best looking guys . And for sure the best music 🎶🎼🎵🎤❤️
Super classy and suave. Bands like Roxy music and John Waite and his click are cherished and give it more all regardless of age. Good for John, and God Bless him and America.
This is an all-time classic song. Tina Turner did the female cover to this song. Many years ago I missed seeing him perform at the "Wolf Den" at Mohegan Sun Casino. I had tickets to a concert there that had Kansas, Journey, and another famous band which I think was Styx. I remember going to the concert because I wanted to hear Dennis DeYoung. Unfortunately I did not know he was no longer with Styx. After the concert was over, I learned that John had been playing in the "Wolf Den". I would have preferred listening to John than the 3 bands I saw playing that night. Several years later, I saw John at another concert. He was great.

Do any of us realize how good we had it in the 80's and just did not realize it...
Night Tracks, MTV, REALLY GOOD, "REAL" Music, yep, my wife and i Miss it a LOT!
I realized it! I had the time of my life with the music. I was in Heaven.
Well...I was younger, so I had that...but now I have a family, and a house, and a career, and money, and experience...so def have it better now.
Yep I took it for granted at the time. Now I'd give anything to go back.
Yes, back then, like Bon Jovi said, "With a six pack and a radio, we didn't need no place to go."
Some people age gracefully, he's one of them. Still has the voice.
Too much questions in the beginning. Love this song ❤️.
Bizzare to listen to John Bisaha who leads The Babys now, it's like John Waite's voice reborn to 40 years ago
John, legendario voz inmortal. Como se extrañan los 80 la mejor epoca del rock ❤
