The chemistry between them is evident. I just learned today that they have been a couple for over 16 years. It's like this song was written for these two.

One of my favorite songs of all time. I'm so please that the cover was just as good and John participated! Alison and John made audio magic together! I use to live in the United Kingdom when then song hit the carts back in the '80s. As they would say, Jolly Good Show or as I would say, Well Done!

What?? How could I have been missing this. 2020 is such an absurd and tragic year. We need more music like this. Especially now.
It actually feels like a married couple of performers who've been separated for a long time but just can't quite bring themselves to pull that final trigger and let each other go. Alison has become a succesful,major producer who has agreed to oversee John's comeback album and just can't resist the urge to duet with her ex on a single that best expresses their feelings for each other. Despite whatever differences there are between them, they can't deny that the chemistry's still there. Feelings that were never really extinguished were rekindled, sparks fly in subtle glimpses,pitch and tempo changes and wordless but meaningful conversations between their eyes. Memories are shared,laughs are exchanged and good times replace the bad ones. I gave it a "Thumbs Up" because it shows the feelings from both sides of the breakup. What I would love to hear is a version with John and Tina Turner. Tina covered this song. Tina would add the energy and emotion like the lead female singer who was dueting with John singing "Everytime I think of you" when he was with "The Babys". Unfortunately, Tina is no longer with us. Maybe, someone in the industry to do something akin to what was done with Natalie and Nat King Cole dueting in the recording of "Unforgettable".
