Claudette is such a gem. I am quite upset we didn't get to hear her beautiful voice sing more lead on Miracles records. Her version of "Wah Watusi" is so sweet! Any man would be blessed to have her as a wife. I am far too young and too late lol. God bless her 💖

Wow, I don't understand how Smokey could have cheated on such a smart, beautiful wife. She was there from the beginning and like so many people in the Motown machine she has been basically left out of its history and pushed to the bilines. She really helped build Motown

It’s none of my business, but Smokey should’ve stayed with Ms Robinson. She’s the one that was with him during their entire ride. I’m very glad she got a nice settlement and got her recognition with the hall of fame and walk of fame. U can hear her voice on ALL those Miracles records. She was entitled to everything monetary wise. Her legacy is secure.
In his autiobiography Snokey said they divorced because he knew he couldn't stop cheating and it was causing her pain. I think they were married for 20 years. Thats a whole lot of pain.

I am a huge fan of Motown, including the more obscure cuts and non-hits, which I delight in seeking out and finding. I know she sang lead on a few tracks with The Miracles. My favorite was "Mr. Misery". She looks great. I couldn't really get into "Shop Around" too much as a kid, but I became a huge fan once I bought "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" (and its wonderful B side "Happy Landing"). Then I flipped over, "A Love She Can Count On" and "Micky's Monkey". I had to have every single they released after that. Of their earliest records I felt "Way Over There" should've been a much bigger hit.
