❤️🙏 An amazing talented artist at just 19 years, having the innate drive, determination, hunger and matured vision & in improving his artistic skills continuously, to be able to do his „best creative artworks“ at each given opportunity … „now“ ! These inherent traits of his & his undivided „focus“ are the true „qualities“ of „Cody Oldham“ as an artist. It is very encouraging to see that he’s adept in handling business issues as well. Truly a „living“ inspiration for all budding artists (… whatever the age might be!) globally. Wishing this very young talented artist every success in his Art career for his future. We await to see more of his fabulous creative artworks in the future. Thank you for kindly introducing this young talented inspiring artist to us art lovers … to the world! ❤️🙏

I think Cody hit the nail on the head there...he is very lucky from what I can gather reading many many comments in other videos, that he has the support of his parents...that's a big thing!! and youth on his side (he hasn't really lived in the real world I'm sure, he hasn't had to fight for recognition - he was blessed with a gift most of us have to work at), that he has a home to live in, doesn't need to 'work' to pay the bills, mortgage, rent, groceries, let alone having family and child commitment's etc. Without being patronising this young man lives an idyllic life, able to do exactly what he wants with an awesome talent to back him up. He's lucky to have an artist family background, also artists like yourself wanting his attention, he was very good at name dropping, not many of us can do that either).
Not many people get that luxury.. look at your Dad Andrew, he did the hard yards to get where he was going, look at yourself life was tough sometimes, maybe still is. Not many people even have the luxury of a large selection of galleries to choose from. You have to be an exceptional artist for a gallery to pick you up I'm sure. Then of course you have to have the confidence to say "nah I'll go somewhere else if they didn't want my work". Most artists would be gutted to be knocked back, let alone still have confidence in their work after asking for a gallery owners critique - especially if it was negative.. you might still have an amazing painting (piece of art) but it might just not be his/her thing.
That young man will go places in life I hope it treats him kindly. He has the confidence to do anything he wants... sadly I think he made selling prints etc to be underneath him instead of an enterprising thing to do. Personally I am glad and appreciate that artists like yourself do sell other options of your work, we cant all afford a masterpiece...thank you for being the humble and lovely man you are Andrew.
Thanks for another interesting video cheers from WA **I mean no disrespect to anyone with my comments.

Andrew thank you for bringing this young man and his extraordinary talent to your channel! I’m in the opposite end of the age spectrum-started painting about two years ago, at age 70, but still this young man’s art journey is quite inspiring! Your videos always tell me, show me or give me something valuable! Thank you so very much!

I started my art journey very early on. Sketching from about the age of 5 or maybe even younger. I experienced childhood poverty. So when I had asked for oil paints my single mother purchased me an easel, an oil paint set, and canvases from a department store...which did nothing for me except convince me that color was stupid. So while I continued to draw, I didn't pick up another brus for 35 years. When i finally did it was watercolor. Recently I have again picked up oil paints. Artist quality of course....and I still find it so incredible challenging.

I’m in the middle of listening to this - Andrew, you just said that Cody is focusing on the things he can control and that’s important. I’m going to ponder that for my own work. I worked with galleries when I was in my 40’s and 50’s and then sold from my website after that while I was writing for art publications. Now, I have time and a choice. Being into my 60s, I’m seeing that galleries are interested in taking on the younger artists - that makes total sense for the galleries. They also sell well-established older artists (I’m not established in that world). So… I’m thinking that the one thing I can control and have experience with is selling from my website. Perhaps with the shaky economy, I’ll feel a lot calmer if I just sell on my own without any gatekeepers. I’d love to have gallery representation, but maybe only because I want to stroke my ego. 😊

Almost finished with this video-cast. Cody’s certainly got a bright future ahead of him and he seems mature beyond his years. Thank you for introducing us to him Andrew.
