Ngl, Kizaru, Vegapunk, Sentomaru, Bonney and Kuma doing sun god Nika dance at a pizza party is one of my favourite panels
They’re about to do it again in the fight against Saturn. I hope all the devil fruits awaken and Funk Records turns into a disco ball and the drums of liberation goes full funk slam dunk on Saturn.

I think the simple fact that Kizaru was included in the group Nika dance is evidence enough. I don't think Oda would draw anyone else but a redeemable character in that position.

I like to think we’ll never have a clear understanding of his actions due to him messily trying to find a middle ground between what he wants and his orders. Hence his justice is unclear. Great character.

I’m actually surprised he cared about Kuma. I always felt that he was just meant to be an antagonist. Some antagonists are just there to be antagonists. Several One Piece bad guys are already like that. I think they need to do their work though, because Kizaru up to this point has no characterization. He’s just a guy who acts lazy and is ruthless and he’s a powerful physical antagonist. Nothing before that showed he had a heart. When I mean characterization, I mean how One Piece characters tend to have complex methodologies

There are plenty of theories about the bird, monkey and dog theory about how in the myth, the bird betrayed his king and the monkey did it later but the dog was too loyal. If we're going by that theory then this is the perfect time to start Kizarus' betrayal but Oda could stretch it out further even have it actually happen right before Raftel

i doubt kizaru changing sides. He might support luffy from shadows like how kuma supported strawhats during sabaody, but his ultimate allegience will be to the government.

I’ve never understood why Kizaru wasn’t everyone’s favorite admiral. I think his unclear justice is very similar to how Kuma’s actions have been portrayed, both before and during the flashback. I’d be more excited to see him have a confrontation with the new, morally gray Kuzan than any other admiral confronting him
Something tells me that, considering Vegapunk and Kuma both have ties to the Revolutionary army, I think Kizaru might decide to join their ranks if he does flip against Saturn. Considering Kuzan already went to Piracy, it would make sense for another Admiral to balance it out and go to the third faction.
Kizaru on the side of the Straw Hats would be a huge boon like how the Blackbeard Pirates got a massive boost after getting Kuzan on their side as a fellow Ten Titanic Captain.
It'd be funny to imagine the Light Logia be part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet with his own division of defected Marines following him, and can do whatever he likes as Luffy told Bartolomeo and their allies to follow their dreams but will call on them to assemble together.
It suddenly had a thought: since Blackbeard is the "evil" reflection of the Strawhats... with Kuzan with the Blackbeard Pirates, then it makes sense the Strawhats get an ex-Marine of their own. And yeah, a Light Logia would be super appropriate because of Nika and Blackbeard's DF.

Kizaru can't join them since he is at least equal to luffy. It's the main reason why Jinbe joined so late. Luffy has to be the strongest in his crew.

So the Ohara incident created the turn in Kuzan which let him spare the strawhats, the Egghead incident could create a turn in Borsalino which lets him spare the strawhats. Based on rule of 3, there now needs to be an incident, possibly the final incident, perhaps involving Dragon(and/or Garp), which turns Sakazuki and forces him against the Marines/World Govt and hopefully fight against Aramaki.

Story wise it'll be better if Tenryubito/Gorosei command the Marines to do something unthinkable (a shocking prospect, I know) and Sakazuki gets conflicted as it doesnt align with his Absolute Justice while Aramaki happily slaughters away 🤣🤣

The mere fact that thanks to Kizaru's intervention at the Koala incident in Fishman Island did Jinbei and the Sun Pirates get to keep their lives and not be executed by the wrath of the Celestials is enough to justify Kizaru as a Marine that plays his role very well in the story.
In Marineford not once did Kizaru and Jinbei exchange fists , despite being at opposite sides , probably because of the respect they have for each other due to their actions.
Now in Egghead , Jinbei didn't even consider fighting against the Marines upon learning it's only Kizaru and is only helping the crew pack their things and ho , since his captain is Luffy after all.
I never hated kizaru he was a hell of a wake up call for the crew as they were definitely not ready. I always wanted to see the getback but once again Oda knows how to make you want to sympathize with certain characters now I’m rooting for kizaru to flip😂

IF Kizaru changes sides I think it is going to be to put their original group back together. Vegapunk, Kizaru, Sentomaru, Bonny, Robot Kuma will escaoe to be a seperate group .

The themes of this Arc are beautiful, anatomy. What choices do you have in life, the answers could be very little, or a lot depending on what you beleive. There are moments in everyone's lives that define who we are, small moments at that too. Kizaru is heading right for one of these moments.

The kick Bonney got looked much more like the gentlest kick Kizaru could possibly have given her. With many others he makes a point at how devastating it can be and that speed is allegedly power..
Maybe it was only the unofficial but there was a small speech bubble of a 'tap' in the last version I read. Perhaps Kizaru made a big show out of it but tried to keep the damage to the absolute minimum.
We'll. As minimum as a light speed kick through the frontier dome can be I suppose.... But I think Kizaru is trying to help.
He kicked her into the dome though, that shit is one of the strongest factors in this arc.
I wonder if Kizaru's Coat Cape of Justice will fall off from his shoulders after his defection as Oda stated that if a Marine no longer stay true to Justice they believe in, their Coat Cape will leave them.

It is a bit embarrassing to say this, even as an anonymous user, but I had a dream about Kizaru like a week ago. I noticed in my dream that he does not have the cape on him. It looked a bit off, but I got used to it. He was a really nice guy. We went river sailing. Maybe it was a premonition? What a useless skill that would be.

I think it’s more realistic that either Kizaru or Caribou gave him the food. Kizaru makes sense because he is close to Vegapunk, Sentomaru, and Bonney, while Caribou makes sense because we haven’t seen him in a while like Wano.
Kizaru is my favorite admiral. Hope Oda does something amazing with him.
I guessed Kizaru gave luffy the food at first, but that doesn't explain what happened to the marines ordered to put luffy in sea stone cuffs.

I think luffy summoned the food himself. Luffy still doesn’t know he has the nika nika fruit, so he doesn’t know how to use the powers, he’s still on the gum gum train lol. What if his desire to have food so he can help his friends causes his DF to manifest the food. The gorusei say the nika fruit is only limited by its imagination. And he turned the clouds into sunglasses before, so I bet he could turn the rocks or something into food…or maybe just made the food appear from nothing just because he wanted it.

i mean it would mean he would always win fights due to attrition by just running away constantly, conjuring food, eating, and then returns at full strength to go again, would be a constant loop until he beats whoever he fights unless they actually knock him out completely.
luffy's nika form is on his wanted poster and i imagine kizaru was briefed that luffy has some sort of new power. when he said "there it is" i read it more like that instead of him knowing fully knowing what he's dealing with
Maybe Kizaru hates Vagapunk for turning Kuma into a robot? Kizaru maybe able cares to save those who can't save themselves. Kuma and Vagapunk made their choices he can't save them so he is not even going to try.
He doesn't hate vegapunk, and Kuma chose to turn into one on saturn forcing him to, but its clear he doesn't want to take vegapunks life or harm Bonney and sentamaru
Kizaru was given orders to eliminate Vegapunk.
Oda has been building Kizaru for this moment as what I feel. Looking back at the time when Kuma saves SHs, he was not sure why he did that and i think he has now made the connection. I think you rightly pointed out that Kizaru knows how much Bonney's safety means for Kuma and the type of person he is, sacrificing his own life to get her cured. But he did defy his orders quite blatantly in front of an Admiral and several marines to save the SHs and this risk may not have made sense to Kizaru. Now, he knows what Luffy is also knows what Kuma had bet on that day. I don't see Kizaru flipping over but he will get Sentomaru and Bonney out of this predicament and ensure that they are safe. I wonder how he will do that though as he needs to seem to be following orders and their escape should appear circumstantial.
Overall, i think Oda has been planning for this character development for Kizaru. He is the only one we do not truly know, what his ideals are and what is his motivation. But one thing is for sure, he cares deeply for Sentomaru and to an extent for Bonney. He respects Kuma and Vegapunk and perhaps it was not a great decision on the WG part to give him the charge here.
When you mentioned Sentomarou getting 'wider' I was hoping you'd resurrect the lovely 'rotund' (GrandLineReview TM)
I think people are underestimating Kizaru's abilities. He's an admiral and very skilled with his fruit. His ability is literally the light light fruit allowing him to create images of whatever he wants.
There might be a good possibility that he might've tried to fake Vegapunk's death with an illusion and taken the old man out of the island, then disappeared himself. After all, who could ever catch him?
or the reason they think hes sitting there when the food appeared is because thats a light clone and not the real one.
But anyone has Observation haki so they would know if kizaru starts creating illusiions

Kizaru already made his move last chapter. The food that appeared out of nowhere for Luffy probably was his doing, and it's perfectly possible with his speed
If you noticed, in both face offs with the Strawhats, Kizaru hesitated and delayed finishing blows. I knew this was going to happen
I felt as if a quarter of the episodes were him "charging up", his attack. Like he was really hoping someone would stop him.

Kizaru has always been one of my favorite characters and I never thought he would be a good guy, if he helps the strawhats he might jump up to being my all time favorite.
I believe Kizaru’s place on Egghead represents a common theme with the world government. The world government, especially Saturn, want control over the thoughts and decisions of the world. Whether that is for a higher goal or not is unimportant, what is important is the control factor. They want people to give up their rights and freedoms in the pursuit of total control. For that goal they need emotionless weapons, people who will carry out their mission without fail. Kizaru is one of these weapons, a man who does not think for himself. He lets the world government decide his mission as he either to lazy to decide himself or is too deeply broken that he is afraid of confronting emotional decisions. He distances himself from control, instead giving it up to the world government. However, by doing this, he has become the weapon that will kill both his enemies and his allies.
Should Kizaru make his first moral decision for himself, he will prove that the world government cannot have total control, should he continue to follow the world governments plans he will further the idea that total control is possible. He is a walking example of the curse belonging to a soldier.
I think Kizaru gave away just enough. He's willing to kill Vegapunk because he has to, and I think maybe what he said to Bonney is how he feels. It could be he's unhappy with Dr. Vegapunk going through with converting and effectively killing Kuma. So if Kizaru can trade Dr. Vegapunk for the rest of his family, so be it. At least I think that was his original plan. If Kizaru was what people previously thought of him, he'd be quickly killing them, but he hasn't in a more serious capacity.
I think your spot on. The problem now is everyone he love are in danger.
Maybe kizaru had a brain implant implanted by Saturn that made him not able to feel emotions. Luffy hit him so hard in the head that the implant broke and now he is slowly starting to feel those emotions again.
Since Kuzan is now a pirate i feel like Borsalino could become a revolutionary because of the ties of vegapunk and kuma to the revolutionaries. That way we would have the 3 "OG" admirals on the 3 big forces of this universe

@@yaseen9044 he might make a promise to a dying Kuma to protect his daughter along with Sentomaru... so if Bonney joins Luffy's crew then he and Sentomaru may tag along as support in the same way kin'emon and momo did. Also Caribou isn't a straw hat, but he's been technically traveling with them for a while so it's a total possibility

Theories if Borsalino Aka Kizaru actually switch sides:
1. He will be the last of the OG admirals to left that position, with Sakazuki stepping up to be Fleet admiral and Kuzan joining Blackbeard pirates. So I'd say Borsalino will be joining the Revolutionary Army to complete the faction cycles (Marines, RA, and pirates). Maybe Oda will reveal that Borsalino had known Dragon when he was still in the marines and has been working with him secretly by giving insider information to Dragon acting as a double agent... That or he will join RA and spill their movement to WG.
2. The replacement for him will probably be named Orange rabbit/rat (Daiusagi/Dainezu, using this kanji "橙" as the orange which is spelled 'Daidai'). Considering the other two of the current admiral was named after the color combination of the OG admiral (primary color) and Chinese zodiac.
Orange will be the last color combination from the primary color (red + blue =purple, blue + yellow = green, red + yellow = orange ). With the Ox/Bull and tiger year placed right to each other in the Chinese zodiac, I'd place my Bucket in rat because it is placed before the Bull year. So Dainezu, Ryogokyu, and Fujitora will be the next gen line up of the admiral.
I also have a theory that Fujitora is a double agent who is secretly working for the Revolutionary Army.
We already have two vice admirals with the rabbit and donkey titles, so I'd go with rat.
Early Revolutionary army is probably made up of disgruntled marine that breakaway from Garps group.

My believe, is that Kizaru already betrayed the World Government.
In the middle of the battle, Saturn is wondering who gave Luffy food that just appeared out of nowhere.
Maybe certain someone who can move at the speed of light decided to drop off a bit of sustenance while everyone was looking at Bonney?
Kizaru is very familiar with the story of Nika due to Kuma and Bonney. Maybe fighting Luffy in G5 was what Kizaru needed to see to take a gamble on Kumas behalf and back Luffy/Nika.

Kizaru's reaction to Kuma is like Kuzan's reaction when Garp was on the ground. These "rogue" admirals are hiding something...
I don’t think Kizaru will fully join the Straw Hats, however, I can see Kizaru escaping Egghead with Luffy and the Straw Hats. As for who joins the Straw Hats, I think Jewelry Bonney is going to join Luffy and the Straw Hats as their apprentice, just like Buggy and Shanks were for Roger.

It's either Kizaru, Caribou, maybe the Boa seraphim, or Kuma.
I really love Kizaru, but I hope he doesn't switch sides.
He goes along with what he is told to do despite his private misgivings because he is beaten down by the system. Where as Aokiji and Fujitora fight against the government, and Akainu and Green Bull embrace the government, Kuzan just passively goes along with it.
He represents how evil is carried out not necessarily by just the bad guys, but by neutral parties who allow it to happen. That's why I love his character.
Going by our theory that Swamp Man (whos name escapes me at the moment) is the one that supplied food to Luffy, it could be that Kizaru has already begun his rebellion against Saint Saturn by letting Luffy refuel, and we might even have a scene where Saint Saturn is about to gain the upper hand, only for a stray beam of light to pierce through him, to which Kizaru would simply claim "Well shucks boss I was aiming for Luffy but you ended up getting in my way, terribly sorry there"
I will say the parallels with sabody archipelago and egg head are insane. The celestial dragons and Saturn, the pacifistas, kizaro, and now kuma.
I think kizaru is the one that gave Luffy food. Who else can travel at light speed and get him food that quickly?
and when the panel shows kizaru it could have just been a light clone he left behind thats to trick both the characters and the reader into thinking it possibly wasint him.

Imagine kizaru, kuma, vegapunk, sentomaru and bonney created a pirate crew. That will surely grow into a yonko crew.
Where a normal pirate would be putting their and their entire crew’s life in danger by sticking around in the presence of these admirals, Luffy always somehow manages to change their minds for the better.
Luffys character is basically what you just said. Luffy is great at reading how people truly feel, hes joyboy for a reason.
If Kizaru turns, it makes Garp's decisions and actions even more questionable.
Kizaru who's the most robotic of the admirals turning when his loved ones are threatened but Garp not being able to do anything feels so out of character for him.
Garp had absolute trust in white beard saving ace. The same trust that he had for roger
Kizaru dancing the Nika dance already solidified it for me that he well aid our Joy Boy in the future.
Perhaps Kizaru finds the actions of the world government so morally objectionable that he KNOWS the moment he gives himself any agency is the moment he will go against them, and thusly he does everything he can to avoid thinking, making himself "just a tool" disconnecting himself from his actions by not having a decision to make in the first place.
The only time Kizaru was ever clear about anything was when he realized that he couldn’t beat Ben Beckman in a fight.
Forget powerscaling the Admirals have so much to offer as a character in both being insanely strong and being complex as a character compared to one dimensional characters like Kaido or Bigmom.
Hes gonna pull a subtle Kuzan, almost like when kuzan let robin live "meaning he'll do somthing thatll help the strawhats but without betraying the world government"
Im actually even more convinced he is a good guy after the latest chapter. When he shot his laser to Vegapunk, he shot it at the exact same location Vegapunk was stabbed by the Gorosei.
I know predicting new Grand Fleet crews is played out and unrealistic by now, but man, the Bonney Pirates with a crew of Kuma, Kizaru, Sentomaru, the Vegapunks, and Stussy would be a monster addition.
One thing I wanna point out is that Kizaru believes more in probable outcome than fate. When he shot at Law's Submarine, he was definitely trying to kill them but was willing to let them go if they managed to slip by his attack. I think the moment he realizes that the Straw Hats ARE the winds of change, he's gonna back them up more explicitly

It would be cool seeing Kizaru acting the Smoker role when Zoro pulls him out of the lake, with perhaps Kizaru watching the strawhats escape and Saturn yelling at him to act yet he just stands there and watches as they fade into the horizon

could be that kizaru when he was knocked out by Laffy. His head was knocked like in cartoon where characters either lose or regain memory. it could be that punch to his head removed any sort of mind control, brainwash or erased memory.

I think you brought up a good point that Kizaru would be the voice of reason on military operations to St Saturn. Like you said, Saturn doesn't care about military losses as long as the goal can be completed, but it's up to the Marines and the admirals to get the results in military fashion

Kizaru just heard to Saturn's extremely evil monologue berating Bonney. Im pretty sure his Lazy Justice is going through it rn.
I think we should get a Kizaru flashback showing in detail the reason why Borsalino's life has been so... unclear. That will highlight his relationships with Vegapunk, Bonney, Sentomaru and Kuma, and so there's a reason why he'll help save them from the comically evil Satan- I meant Saturn.
