It´s strange to think there was any confusion about the scar, as Luffy clearly grips his chest and comments on it when Jinbe mentions Akainu is now the Fleet Admiral, during the Fishman Island Arc.

@[ C A K E S ] in their defense, zoro would make more sense. When I first got into op 2016 I thought that too but then found it odd how there was no scar afterwards. It’d be mad deep for luffy to have the scar from zoro n his tooth stay out from sanji. Since they’re always beefin, they could confront each other about injuring their captain but luffy reminds them that he loves them anyway like whitebeard. But marineford was too big for luffy not to get a scar from there instead so I understand. Luffy having a Voldemort scar is way better

For what I read from Oda's SBS, is not that Luffy was imitating Usopp, but rather that Usopp's presence is what caused said reaction, which probably means Luffy gets the mentality of a middleschool kid when he's with Usopp, which I find really charming and cute honestly. Hell, luffy even calls the King a pervert afterwards, so he understands what he had just seen lol
My birthday is also 05/05 and growing up my number playing football was 56. I didn't find one piece until many years after I started playing and it felt like the universe had been calling me to one piece for years. Needless to say my love of Luffy felt like fate.

when Oda said that Luffy could stretch up to 72 Gum-Gums, he also said that Luffy wanted to eventually be able to stretch 100 Gum-Gums. this was also near the beginning of the series, so it's likely that Luffy can stretch close to, or over, 100 Gum-Gums during the Whole Cake Island ark.

I feel like Luffy's dream has something to do with creating a paradise for all people to live in, like a territory or a kingdom, but not rule over it. Luffy stated directly to Rayleigh that he does not plan on ruling over anything. Also, in his fight with Kaido, he said he wanted to create a world where everyone can eat til they're full.
Somewhere I think Luffy mentioned that he wanted everyone to be free to follow their dreams so I think that is what his dream is. That and that everyone can eat as much as they want😊

Advanced Armament is a given, he is the reason why we even know of Advanced Conquerors and he was also capable of using Advanced Obeservation Haki to see in the future just like Luffy, as seen in his drunken phases.

Also at that point Shanks was in a very small town and he was not as famous as he is now, so he probably wasn't tracked (otherwise the fruit would be stolen back anyway).

The Gum-Gum thing is also wordplay. Gomu doesn't translate to rubber, because it's a sound. It would be closer to "boing" or another sound that rubber makes. 4kids messed up a lot of things but this is more a case of Japan loving to use onomatopeia instead of actual words.

I'm surprised you hadn't caught up to this. Luffy doesn't treat Nami as the 2ndd in the crew not including himself. He actually puts her as 4th. His list is Zoro>Usop>Sanji>Nami>Chopper>Robin>Franky>Brook>Jinbei which is in chronological order as to when they actually joined the crew for real. When I say, for real, is when they have settled their personal business and are ready to set sail with him through thick and thin until the very end.
During Sabaody arc and Post War arc he always think of them in this order, regardless if it's first to last or last to first.

This is trivia. The first time luffy takes the hit to the chest (the scar area) is Season 4 Episode 223 "Zoro Sharpens His Fangs! A Fight With a Wild Beast!" this is filler arc, but it was made after a game called One Piece Ocean's Dream. The attack is Oni Giri at 11:22. This arc followed.. Foxy's and before Water Seven. So many just skip it. Luffy and Zoro fight for most the episode afterwards. Now during this version, luffy usually wears his shirt buttoned up. In the next episode, you can still see the scars across his abdomen all thought he cut was clearly across the chest with the attack. I like to think, Oda liked it so much he made it better and canon as with Zoro having a scar over his eye like Shimotsuki Ryuma's in a few of oda's drawings. I found it interesting. The blue hair samurai who taught Yamato is Shimotsuki Ushimaru who also had a bandage over his left eye like Ryuma's corpse and Zorro's left eye. Funny huh.
