Here we go then with part 7
This is not going to be a totally complete history, but I hope it gives a good flavour of what a great time musically it was.

Very good, I'm taken straight back in time watching these videos, Matt. I was 16 and already in goth mode. Btw did I ever say I was at Live Aid? I stood to the left of the mixing desk, so I had a great view.
No you didn't tell me that fact however since I've been posting a lot about it on Facebook it would appear half of my friends were there. Even Paul from the band was there.
Simon Bates claimed on the Radio 1 Top 40 - 15th July 1984 that it is him playing the dead man on the Thompson Twins - Sister of Mercy video. I’ve looked and it does actually look like him. Could this be true?
Also I was trying to work out what the Duranny fan was asking about who says “yeah” after the second verse on The Reflex? Then realised it is the slowed down sample of Simon Le Bon saying “Why”.

I haven't played that episode yet but wow I so wish I'd known this nugget of information when I worked with Simon bates. I ask Tom next time I see him
