Hi. I made them this morning. I usually run clear from cake recipes with oil, but decided to try this one. As I expected, the cakes reek of vegetable oil. There is no odorless and flavorless oil. It doesn’t matter if it is canola, safflower, peanut.. yeech!! It ruins anything that not oriental savory food. Would you have a ratio for melted butter? The icing was too runny even after an hour waiting time. I had to add another half cup of sugar and it was sweeet. Maybe it is the Brazilian sugarcane sugar. I’ll try using cream or cream cheese next time. Liked it a lot, though. Thanks for the recipe.
Not sure if this is true but I heard the frosting gets darker when using melted butter. It might turn brown instead of black when you don't melt the butter but I haven't tried so not sure

Try coconut oil. It has no smell and no flavour at all. 😊
What does it taste like? Dark chocolate? Or red velvet?
Black cocoa usually tastes similar to Oreos. A very dark chocolate but not in the way that it is bitter. Just very rich.
@@RayDLX thank you. I’ll check if it’s still available
Instead of melting the butter can you just whisk all the ingredients with a handmixer?
you have to melt the butter or if you try mixing it will slip off the butter im pretty sure i don't know sorry.
