Beautiful cake and YES, I make my Vanilla extract also with Dark rum. Chocolate cake and that extract is a DREAM and a drop or 2 in pancakes also work.

This looks amazing! Can you please do a key lime pie CUPCAKE recipe with a custard filling? I had a coworker yearssss ago who would make this every year for my birthday and I CANNOT find a recipe for it that lives up to how amazing it was. She never gave the recipe up either.
Omg delicious it’s a must try. I’ve learned my lesson to try a new recipe on my family before a party. Father’s Day I made a limoncello tiramisu everything was fine but way too much limoncello for lady fingers after all the work and money I trashed it. But I’ll try again with less limoncello and more water for dunking lady fingers. Great summer dessert
Thank you for using both gram mesurements and cup measurements because i have to use a substitute for my sugar that weighs nothing so it helps to have both. I candied my zest for the garnish and oh my gosh it came out so nice and stopped the zest from drying out. Thanks for a great recipe.

Wow amazing I love your recipes. I like to make full-size cakes and then cut them up into pieces and freeze them so I can just take a piece at a time out will of cream cheese frosting and this cake freeze well thanks.🇨🇦

A tip for the cream cheese frosting - if you combine the butter and icing sugar first and later add the cream cheese you need a LOT less icing sugar. Like at least half, if not even less. Also a good idea to use the whisk attachment rather than the paddle.
I learned several tips here! And love Key limes! Oh and tip to juicing, I don't have much hand power anymore so I use a whisk, small or med. sizes, cut fruit in half, stick in whisk and twist over a screen, no seeds, no pulp, all juice, done. :)
im going to make this for my grandmas 82nd birthday next week :) i was going to make pie initially but i think she will like cake. im thinking about making candied limes for the first time as well, if it works out i think it will be a great topping!
