The canopy on the Viper which I flew was removed for image clarity. Stock canopy is not clear enough and has plenty of distortion. I use premium servos in my gimbal design and also excellent head-tracker:

This was super cool. Thanks - can’t wait to see the BB dogfight!
Mankind expects many more wars, but I would like them to be fought in this way in the future. And at the end of the battle, the losing side pays for all the knocked out RC, lol.
Hear, hear! May the best dogfighter win!
🎵 Hyyyywaaay too the danja zone! 🎵
I know it would be really hard to pull off and probably really dangerous, but imagine scale missiles and guns for these bad boys! Hell even just like a laser tag system would be dope!
The HUD is beyond belief. How did you do that?
Thanks! It’s a functional simplified miniature reflector sight scaled down from WW II originals with similar optics. See fig. 1: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflector_sight
I always enjoy seeing the views from above ❤
This was a fun video to watch. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
such a beautiful sunset 😍
Cant wait to get into this fpv stuff myself
How long can it fly without refuelling ?
Dogfights about 4 minutes or so. Just cruising about 7-8 minutes.
@@motionsic cool. Thanks for the prompt reply man. Good luck with ur future projects.
Great landing, the pan and especially the tilt really made the difference to the flare the plane in FPV. By chance do you have a video of you working on the cockpit/canopy? I asked another UA-camr who does similar work and still waiting for a posting. Hope you will share the info. Keep flying!!
The canopy on the Viper which I flew was removed for image clarity. Stock canopy is not clear enough and has plenty of distortion. The pan and tilt gimbal is something I developed for ease of installation. A few screws to affix camera and secure to the cockpit floor that’s it! Takes about 20 minutes. You can see some detailed pictures here: fpvdogfight.com/products/motionsic-b-a-g-badass-gimbal
@@motionsic Great!! Thanks for the info and link. 👍
I’m so inspired. Thank you!
Great flying and landing
Thanks, glad you enjoyed them!
Looks fun i was confused in the beginning thought this was a vr game 🤣
Radio Controlled aircraft on a next level mission. Amazing. Hope to see these on actual turbine kit mode. Keep on flying guys.
Is the video quality through the glasses the same as this video?
Very close to it. Goggle resolution is 720P 120fps, video resolution is 1080P 60fps.
@@motionsic is there goggle resolution that’s at least 1080 or more ?
@@funplaymix7710 yeah DJI Goggles 2 with O3 Air Unit.
Beautiful.
Another awesome video, I am totally buying your gimble and head tracker. What do you use for your on plane audio?
Do you have any setup videos for your full build on the viper. I am building one!
Thanks!
Audio is from onboard recording. There’s hack to get real time audio transmission from WTF OS, too.
I am working on tutorial video of the build. But it’s quite intuitive for people that already fly RC planes, pretty much plug and play.
HT works with RC transmitter trainer function like this: facebook.com/groups/2211542688961285/permalink/5947573345358182/?mibextid=W9rl1R
Then simply plug in the gimbal servos to two channels on RC receiver. That’s it!
That was awesome! Great camera work keeping the bandit in sight, even on the landing. Speaking of landing, that was a perfect touchdown from a freestyle glide. Love the channel! 🤙
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the encouragement!
Bro could u just tell us how u manage to build these scale models?
The RC models can be bought at MotionRC.com or HorizonHobby.com
Didn't read the title or description before starting to watch. I spent way too long trying to figure out if this was a simulator, it looked so real! Then I noticed the scale of nearby objects...
This was such a cool video wow you’ve sparked my long lost rc hobby
Holy sht. This is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time
Possibly THE most bodacious thing I’ve seen in a LONG while! 😃🤗🤘👍😎
Thanks for the encouragement. It’s not dangerous if following formation rules. Just a bunch of fun without risk to life and limb!
@@motionsic 😆👍🤘 brilliant 🤝
Damn, this is how the wars should be done, a simple dogfight betwean drones
This seems like a lot of fun.
Indeed it is fun flying with friends in collaborative play!
Fun, we need more of this.
some of this "wake turbulences" were partially made from the wash jet but most of those were made from the wing tip vortices most likely
I agree!
FPV is just the coolest thing in the world.
I agree🙂
This is so cool! Love that gunsight 👍
Thanks! Me too!
Hell yes!!! This is so badass!!!!!
That must be an awesome experience, be in the jet but not for real, the tiny camera VR head tracking is awesome.
Awesome video 👏
Thanks! The fun & thrill of flying a real aircraft but at a fraction of the cost and risk of flying inside a full scale plane.
my left ear loved this
😂
Just seeing this now after it popped up in my feed ,and am glad it did just followed immediately,so much awesome content 😌
Thanks for your interest and sub, cheers!
Good night or good bia, I would like to know what equipment to mount the fpv with this system of glasses that move the camera along with the glasses, could you help me. much for the attention.
Sure no problem. Here’s the FPV equipment I use:
DJI Digital FPV Goggles:

DJI Digital FPV Air unit

Tally-ho Head-tracker

And yet people say the dogfighting days are over❤
That might be true for war, but dogfighting for fun is just getting started😉
@@motionsic yessir!
awesome video. love the FPV
Man your vids get better and better. Beautiful footage, and a great dead stick... I will have to try this FPV thing one day. :)
Thanks for the encouragement! I took a full scale glider flight this past summer. It’s amazing how similar my FPV flying, especially dead-stick landing, is to that flight. I think I will show that footage next😉
@@motionsic That is really cool to hear how similar it feels. I remember how realistic your FPV flight of the Avios Spitfire looked - flying realistic turns when seeing from the cockpit. I will get into this for sure one day, but small children and many hours at work mean I'll have to stick my small models for now... But seeing yours and others videos keep me motivated!
@@avipatable hear, hear! I took a 18 year break from flying RC for the same reasons. Your time will come. Respect for getting your priorities straight!
@@motionsic Thank you, yes you know the story! :) Channels like yours and RCScaleairplanes, and the RC Scalebuilders website keep me going for now... a 1/4 scale Jerry Bates Hawker Tempest is the dream one day!
Beautiful flight as always! Watching the F-22 in the air is such a marvel!
I agree! The F-22 is quite an attention grabber in the air, especially among young audiences😉
@motionsic We get a lot of tourists driving by our flight field. Every time I am burning through a long session of packs on my F-22, It never fails to attract an audience.
Great flying!
Thank you!
That was my first video and I thought it was great... thanks!
I don't think my child brain would have been able to process how fun this looks. My adult brain is still struggling!!!
Then we have done something right. It’s for the child or teenager that grew up with original Top Gun as their favorite movie🙂
Very nice video , nice fly and smooth landing !
Thank you! Love making smooth landings, it’s half the fun of flying😁
@@motionsic same, great landing
Why do call gear and flaps up? Do you have a copilot?
It’s a check list call out so I do not forget. My friends who do not have such habits often forget to retract them after takeoff. And have landed many times with gear up if they do not call out gear down for landing.
Man I wish I could have a setup like this! Very cool, you should make a tutorial or sell a kit for people to build our own fpv jet!
I do sell a kit that allow experienced RC flyers to build their own FPV jet. It’s pretty easy actually. Look in the descriptions. Here are the FPV equipment I use:
DJI Digital FPV Goggles:
www.getfpv.com/dji-fpv-goggles-v2.html
DJI Digital FPV Air unit
fpvdogfight.com/products/dji-digital-fpv-air-unit-by-caddxfpv
Motionsic BAG - BadAss Gimbal
fpvdogfight.com/products/motionsic-b-a-g-badass-gimbal
Tally-ho Head-tracker
fpvdogfight.com/products/tally-ho-head-tracker
Question. How do you all get head tracking FPV gear? And do you just attach it to any RC plane?
The head-tracker works through the RC transmitter’s trainer function. So yes, it can apply to any RC plane, car, crawler, heli, etc. Just need to install the pan & tilt gimbal with FPV camera and plug into two spare channels on receiver and go! Here’s what I use:
DJI Digital FPV Goggles:

@@motionsic Ok, thanks so much!
Just admit it, this isn’t an RC. you actually put a tiny hamster pilot in there.
Dang it, you figured it out. It was a deft hamster all along...
Dude that is so freaking cool
Sweet landing brother!!!👍👍👍 very interesting video
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
Great great great! The daylight was also fantastic!
Many happy landings!
Subscribed 😉
Thanks for watching and sub, cheers!
Wait a second, are these planes electric? Afterburners??
Yeah. Electric ducted fan powered. But they have bright LED lights to simulate afterburner only in looks.
Imagine adding airsoft to those planes
YO THIS IS CRAZY HOPE I GET THE MONEY TO LIVE THIS
The actually physical HUD is 1000x cooler than any graphic you could overlay on the FPV image
I agree🙂
I just subscribed. I want an EDF RTF model with FPV.
