Great job guy's!! I'm sure most everyone knows the work it must have taken to make such a beautiful flying machine, with such rich detail to the original.
My dad was a B-17 pilot in WW II and was shot down over Germany on his 3rd mission on July 16, 1943 and spent the rest of the war in German POW camps, the first of which was Stalag Luft III in Sagan Germany which is now Zagan Poland. My dad arrived in the UK at the beginning of July 1943 with a virtually a new B-17. But most B-17's that survived a few missions had wear and so had paint peeled off of the the leading edgings and other parts of the aircraft. This model looks more like it came out of the factory and had never flown a mission. Most B-17's that lasted more that a few missions had flaws where the paint had been worn off showing bare metal along the leading edges of the wings and other parts exposed to the winds. It's a great model, but it just came off of the factory and doesn't show any of the wear of B-17's in combat. Also many B-17's were hit by flak or attacking enemy fighters and those holes had to be patched and so many B-17's had a number of patches from being hit on previous missions. If you are going to make a B-17 that has been in missions in WW II then you need to add the wear and damage that most B-17's had after a number of missions. However, great model and a tip of the hat to your creativeness.
In Britain. They would say I'm gobsmacked. LOL. What a job guys. I am thrilled and amazed and all I'm doing is sitting watching it on my phone. Unreal.

I use the same size smoke bombs, I put them in an aluminum foil lined large medicine bottle with holes posted all in the lid. It works and keeps the plane safe. The fuse sticks out through a hole.
You should use both smoke bombs. Gray smoke simulates lesser damage, like a radiator leak or fuel leak. So make it go first. Black smoke simulates fire and more serious damage, so it goes last.
I thought so too
Well they said I should be reusable, so next time hopefully they can do more smoke.
Also have to consider the amount of weight that it would add it would be another 4 smoke bombs might be too much
Agreed

WOW! So cool how much & how far Flite-Test crew(s) have gone, grown & continue to grow! Pushing the absolute limits of the fun & passion in ALL sectors/niches of the entire aerial DIY RC aircraft world! Always continue to amaze & inspire. Including especially ME! Awesome job guys!
I just love it when the notifications “some one liked your comment” or “you got a new subscribers” it makes me happy
Stunning work guys, truly stunning.
She sounds amazing in the air.
Looking forward to the live-action vids!

You guys have outdone yourselves. I am a great-grandson of an Army Air-Corp pilot who lost brothers in a B-17 and ended up as a dc-2 and dc-3 transport pilot in the pacific campaign. That aircraft means a lot to my family and thank you for doing her justice.

Hello flite test my name is Parth Apturkar from India🇮🇳 I never coment on an singal video but when I see this video I am shocked that how beautiful this plain is and by the way I love flying plain and plains landing flying . I was shocked that how huge is this plain and can you make a simple basic plain video plz plz and good job 👏👏
I'm so jealous. You guys get to have way too much fun!! Such beautiful, detailed planes!!!
Don't play warthunder. Too much grind.
I think the extra weight helps. Helps with the inertia and realism. Big planes don't always look good if they are too light...
Ive been playing War Thunder since 2015. Love to see them sponsor you. I actually create WT inspired photo edit artwork as therapy for my depression
Maybe have a switch on the transmitter to enable "damaged engine mode"
So when an engine gets hit it that engine will spool down and or stop providing thrust
My GOD that gave me cold chills!! That is one helluva beautiful ship guys...what a tribute
Congrats Guy's on getting the B-17 Painted and put-back together. looks great..
Fantastic project. I was able to fly in the B-17, Aluminum Overcast back in the late 80’s. It was incredible. Watching this project come together with all you talented individuals,,, I have to say that this too is incredible.

This thing is awesome. Love it.
The paint job is incredible. It will be indistinguishable from the real one with a close up and without the sound.
Congrats on your work.
This looks fantastic! I got so excited when I saw it take off, this is by far my favorite aircraft and you made it look amazing. God bless!
That creation provokes emotion it has culminated in a work of art.
That is beautiful, congrats on creating a wonderful honor of these awesome machines.
Every once in a while, I have to point out David Cutters music. "Parts" just never gets old!
That sound of the props as it did that low flyby was just...mwah
I must say I've painted Autos in the 70s when lacquer was a thing to airbrush art for galleries in New York. Very nice paint job done on this classic

The only thing i'd have done to this awesome bad boy is to have painted the props the original Hamilton - Standard colors for authenticity to fit in with the rest of the paint job.
You can even get the original Hamilton - Standard prop decals.
One is The Memphis Belle. This one is the Flying Beauty. Great work guys.
Jason is an amazing pilot. He made that r/c plane look like a full size bomber. Kudos!
Well done on all fronts guys. Perfect trim and power-to-weight. Thanks for posting.
Congrats guys stunning work. Great to see realistic airspeed
The "Square J". 390th 570th was my father's group. He was co-pilot on the "X" plane. Nice to see that replicated. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks So Much Flitetest for Building and Remembering Military Pilots and Flight Team that Gave us Our Freedom Today. God Bless America 🇺🇸
18:21 Brave people standing there.
Imagine the plane turned right with those props!
Can't get over how many people are showing up to your events now. So great to see.
What a beautiful plane and what a lovely flight! Well done guys. This is the most incredible plane to come out of Flite test to date!

That is Amazon guys!!! Can't wait to see it in combat! I would love to see you guys devise a similar concept to fly RC with a PC joystick.
Wow! You guys really outdid yourselves with the B-17! Great work! And those painting tips were fantastic!
you guys are so talented. I felt quite emotional seeing BOMBOOGIE fly........so majestic......awesome.
B17 was and is my favorite bomber. You guys did it proud. Way to go.
Hey guys, don’t know if you will see this, but an idea for the Fort. Paint the props to match those of a B-17 Fortress. The wood props take away from the beautiful paint job guys.

Yea right scammer, get a life, a real job and quit tryna scam people outta their hard earned money. I see these comments all the time on different yt channels and their videos.
This is one of the greatest things I've seen. Keep up the good work guys!
The look on the pilots face says it all. Phew what a relief down in one piece. Great work Guys and great flight.👍
Unreal.
The sound on that flyby, nothing can replace 4rotors planes, AWESOME
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you guys know you really helped me through a rough patch in my life, not here to get squishy on you guys but you all have provided so much quality entertainment, and helped me find my new hobby, I have followed the channel for a few years now, and I got to say, its motivational watching you guys make your builds, I have built a few R/C Boats, and a few planes just from your guy's inspiration,
Much love and keep up the good work and content!
I was amazed at the realistic of the flying fortress B-17, it looks amazing and awesome, if you didn't know it was a model you would think it was full scale! Nice paint 👍 and big thumbs up for the staff who put it together! Great job guys!!!!
I use the same size smoke bombs, I put them in an aluminum foil lined large medicine bottle with holes posted all in the lid. It works and keeps the plane safe. The fuse sticks out through a hole.
