Informative video! One slight mathematical caveat -- your speedtest was about 150-200 megabit/S, not megabyte -- to get to megabyte, divide that number by 8, so about 19-25Megabytes/S
Hello Mr. Andy 😎
Nice video install
Thx….very informative ☮️
Thanks so much! 👍
Excellent video!!!!

Thank you for the video. I hoped that you would show the screws that you are using in each spot, as they are many different types included.
No problem, thank you for watching! So, the Starlink HP Dish does come with a few different types of screws, but this helpful installation guide should help clear up which screw goes where in the installation: api.starlink.com/public-files/installation_guide_flat_high_performance_kit.pdf
If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we can help you out!
Very nice! I wish Starlink would just put RJ-45 connectors on their power supplies and routers.
Thank you! You and me both!
I just got everything you did, I see a cable with one ethernet end to go into my cisco meraki firewall at the worksite.. but I don't see where the other end plugs into? Edit: Nvm I watched the whole thing durrr
@MobileMustHave thanks for sharing the great tips! I have one question: The hole which Starlink cable passes through has some gap. how did you seal the gap? thanks.
So, you can use any type of self-leveling sealant to help seal that gap. We personally recommend Dicor, which can be found on our site here: mobilemusthave.com/products/dicor-self-leveling-sealant-in-various-colors?_pos=1&_psq=dicor&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Great video Andy! Thinking about ordering one from MMH. Do you think VHB tape plus Dicor around the edges would work for mounting to a fiberglass roof instead of drilling screw holes? Or maybe VHB with wide Eternabond over the metal frame?
Starlink is pretty heavy, you could try it, but you would want to check it before traveling every time as that could turn into a costly mistake. We recommend using our method in the video.
We checked and Erik from MMH actually used a screwless method on his install. He installed VHB on the bottom of the dish then dicored the entire bottom of the mount to protect the dicor from the water. This has worked out great so far but his dish does not seem to be mounted on a low spot that gets water but overall an installation without holes seems possible at least so far (6 months of testing without issue).
Perfect video.......thanks. is your generator running to power Starnet or r u using invertor which eats batteries for lunch ?
Dish has a wattage usage of around 100-150w nominal, nothing crazy, like a 100w light bulb. Sure you could run a generator for that but why as it just wastes gas as the smallest generator puts out 2200 watts
@MobileMustHave I want what you did. However, I want (wish) to use now unused tv antenna hole with that starlink bracket centered over said hole. So, did high performance Starlink kit come with mounting over hole roof assembly parts to allow dish cable to pass through the former tv antenna hole ?
@@VideoByPatrick the kit comes with a surface mount grommet to cover a hole approximately 1inch in diameter max. If your hole is larger consider covering it with our 8 inch ground plane and dicor to reduce the size of the hole which would be an easy fix. Id also recommend you checkout our cable management solutions as they really make the install easier. You can reach out to our team with photos and we can assist at info@mobilemusthave.com. How do you feel this performs in tree coverage situations compared to the abilty to move the standard dish around the campsite to find a signal?
Hello! So, tree coverage can definitely cause an issue with Starlink's signal. Being able to move the dish around will definitely have its benefit with areas where your rig is parked underneath heavy tree coverage, but I will note though that the High-Performance Dish has a larger FOV, thus is capable of better performance in partially obstructed locations.

Was thinking that some blue loctite on those machine screws would be beneficial too.
Haven't tried that on a RV roof. Thanks for the idea.
Looking for that link to the video for the installation of your junction box that you mention Eric has already done.
Ooops! I'll update the links but here you go!

Did you notice a significant power usage increase for the High Performance flat dish?
From what I have seen in my continual testing during the summer it pulls 80 watts all the time. It can spike to 150-200 watts but doesn't seem to stay there for long. I have not tried this antenna in the winter yet, but I would assume the snow melt heater will be at least 200 watts when it's cold.
Hello Andy. Very nice video. I.ve got a question. Where dit you buy the stand were the Starlink is on fastened. Excuse me ft my english. Greetings from Europe (Netherlands). Coen
Hello! So, if you're referring to the Wedge Mount that the Starlink antenna is mounted to, that is actually included in our Starlink High-Performance Kit! You can see that kit on our site here: mobilemusthave.com/products/flat-high-performance-starlink-kit-with-wedge-mount?_pos=1&_psq=starlink&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Great video. Do you have a link to that junction box?
Yeah! Here is one that we use- www.homedepot.com/p/Carlon-12-in-x-12-in-x-6-in-Junction-Box-E989R-1-HD/310412636
@@MobileMustHave Fantastic. Thank you!
Hey, what was the result of the speed test for upload speed? I saw it reach 9.56 Mbps before it was removed and was really hoping to get an idea for upload speeds.
Hello! So, your upload speed is going to ultimately depend on your location, but Starlink says to expect anywhere between 5-20mbps. If you have any other questions for us, reach out via email at info@mobilemusthave.com. Thank you!
Hey! Hope you’re good!
Could you please do me a favor? I need to know the measurements of the heights of the lowest and highest part of the antenna. The distance from the floor to these points (lowest and highest). Thank you very much!
I wrote floor, but it is the roof of the vehicle, where the antenna is installed.
Hello! So sorry for the delay in our response. The lowest point is almost flat with the roof, so with the thickness of the antenna, the lowest is approx. 1.6in while the highest is around 6.6in! If you have any other questions, please reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com! Thank you!
I hate to ask but have alot of interest in this. Could you please tell me the maximum heigth of this product with it installed? Thinking about installing but worried about clearance heigth where the RV parks.
Hello! Thanks for reaching out! Completely understand the worry about the height clearance. So, the maximum height on the High-Performance Starlink Dish is 22.6 inches. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!
@@MobileMustHave 22.6 inches for the RV antenna? Man it looks like it's only 8. Thanks for the clarification
apologies for my team. they are talking about the max length of the dish. The height of the dish is like 6 inches. WELL BELOW the height of your air conditioners. If you need exact i can bust out a ladder and measure for ya.
Have you tried to use the POE adapter?
We have, but this antenna requires so much power it kept burning up everything we tried. Because of the power draw demands for the antenna, we currently recommend running it off of an inverter with 120v power.
Can we use a dc poe injector with this? Just wondering.
Unfortunately at 250+ peak watts when booting it exceeds anything that can run on POE from DC power at this time. Some people have modified the starlink power adapter to run on DC only but thats a big job so AC only at this point for the large fixed mount unit.
Why did you skip over upload speeds?
Upload speeds are pretty similar to what we have seen with all of Starlink, it hovers around 10mpbs! Hope this helps!
Mine drops with outages a lot. Sometimes mire than a minute
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your Starlink dish. If you'd like, you can reach out to our technical support team via email at support@mobilemusthave.com and they can try to help you do some troubleshooting and see if they can figure out why you're having frequent outages! Thank you and safe travels!
Does it matter where it is facing?
No. this antenna has a 140-degree view of the sky, eliminating the need for directional facing that we see with the smaller antennas.
Did he say Pantrytainment?
Ha, ya. That is what Keystone calls it so we just kept the name.
confused about router, did it come in the box?
Yes, the Starlink router does come in the box! If you look, you can see the router's placement in the box around the 1:35 mark of the video. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help! Thank you!
133 ping, that is to much ping
133 is pretty high, but thankfully that is much higher than the average latency seen from Starlink. According to Starlink's spec sheet, the average latency is 25-60ms in fixed locations: www.starlink.com/legal/documents/DOC-1400-28829-70
