Thanks for this video, Exactly what i was looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
Upload speeds matter, especially for creators. Star link is insufficient for video creators trying to live stream or make daily uploads. I've had mine for 2 years and it's perfomance is worse than my T-mobile hot spot.
Thank you for watching and sharing your user experience!
ty finally a video that shows........
Thanks for tuning in!
I would do a Business plan if i could do port forwarding hope they could some how add that feature into the starlink
Thanks for tuning in! You might want to consider getting the Speedcast SIGMA network management solution, where it has port forwarding capabilities built in. You may find more info about the SIGMA solution at www.speedcast.com/SIGMA. Can you host on-premises applications with business plan and have them routable publicly? In other words, does Business plan provide static public IP and ability to manage DNS A records for directing apps using domain name?
Hello and thanks for tuning in! Starlink offers a Public IP option but it is not considered Static. It is what they call “Sticky,” as they cannot guarantee (at the time of this writing) a static IP address. In our testing, we have seen a Sticky IP hold for a month, but eventually it did change. As another note, there is no firewall on these IPs (again, as of the time of writing, and at least to say no filtering) so please be sure you use a firewall at your remote location!
Can the Starling V2 antenna be replaced by an antenna that has been lost and stolen?
hi, are both of the dishes on the same type of plan, (like both on for example 40 gb priority) or is the residential dish on regular plan while high performance dish on a priority plan? If on different plans do you think that the fewer ping drops of high performance dish are from it being a high performance dish or from being on a priority plan?
Hello - Thank you for your comment! At the time of testing, priority plans were not offered on residential hardware, but we still believe the increased availability from the Flat HP kit was due to both improved performance of the antenna itself and being on the higher priority plan. Thanks for tuning in!
I live in rural alabama will getting the business version be able to steadily support gaming with no lag and work from home/live calls with no buffering?
Thanks for tuning in. Even though the Starlink Business service has a more consistent service and speed compared to their Residential service, Starlink’s plans are provided on a best effort basis, so stated speeds and uninterrupted use of services are not guaranteed. Can i use the Resdedtial for small or local area internet service business ??😢
Hello - Thanks for tuning in! Please refer to the terms and conditions from Starlink for the acceptable use policy.
How many pc's can you run on this at once? For bigger businesses. Because i have 6 pcs.
Thank you for tuning in. Connecting multiple PCs isn’t an issue, especially 6. The question is what you are doing with the PCs. How many sessions they run and how much bandwidth they use. As the testing showed, the Business Starlink has more consistent link and performs better for multiple PCs like you say when compared to the residential terminal.
Hi! I’d like to get a residential model, but for business purposes, to connect to at least 40 devices. Would this slow down the speed significantly?
Thank you for tuning in. Starlink states that the new Gen 3 Starlink Residential Wi-Fi 6 access point is capable of supporting up to 128 users, so having 40 devices should not be an issue. Additionally, the Gen 3 Residential terminal is now eligible for use with a business plan. The main difference lies in the terminal itself, where the Flat High Performance terminal offers a larger field of view of the satellites, resulting in greater availability. Moreover, if a user opts for the business plan, their traffic is prioritized during busy beam periods, ensuring smoother service compared to residential users. It's worth noting that both kit choices-Flat High Performance and Residential-can accommodate this option.
Furthermore, there's the consideration of a managed service, providing 24x7 Technical Support via phone, email, and online, to assist you with change, incident, and problem management, which you can get from Speedcast.

I have the residential roaming plan. Say i get a good deal on the high performance kit. Will it work with my residential plan ?
Thank you for tuning in! As of now, residential plans are not compatible with enterprise terminals. To get accurate information, we recommend referring to the terms and conditions provided by Starlink for their acceptable use policy.

Can you have more than one business antenna
Yes, you can have more than one business antenna. You may consider bonding the systems together using an SD-WAN solution, such as Speedcast SIGMA, to maximize performance. If you would like to speak with a member of our sales team, you can register your interest by completing this form:

Hey I got Gen 2 starlink and I keep getting Packet loss I have some obstructions but I think its the satellites moving IN front of the tree losing signal for a few secs before another sat comes within open space so should I get the High performance for wider view and move it to a clear location or use the normal one and put it in a clear clear view of the sky to get no obstructions and if I do that will I get packet loss spikes trying to play FPS games but cant it runs great for a few mins then I get extreme Packet loss spikes but no ping spike I dont think it has enough sats in the area to provide consistent Ping and packet loss
Hello and thanks for tuning in! Sorry to hear about the packet loss! With Starlink, the satellites are in constant motion in the sky and covering a lot of area. Certainly if you have blockage, you will need to get that addressed first - it will help you out a lot. As far as residential vs. larger panels, we have seen better packet performance on the larger panels. I would advise to address the blockage first and see your performance, and then if it is still an issue, consider the larger antenna.
Ok thank you @@SpeedcastGlobal

Which 'Perth' are you situated at/near?
Hello, and thanks for tuning in! Our Perth location is in Western Australia.
Your figures are very poor. I hope they have improved since you carried out your tests.
Your residential results are sub par as is your expensive commercial subscription. Your company is paying much more for less. I run a res sub and my figures are never as low as your stated commercial figures. In fact I normally get closer to 250 than not. Last group this morning with 4 tests against different cloud servers my average was 259mbps. Also your pings are awful. I know Starlink have a new POI in WA now which would improve ping significantly. I hope that is the case at your installation location.
According to the app, in the last 12 hours I suffered, 1 x 2sec outage, 4 x 1sec outages & 18 x
Hi Jed - We appreciate your feedback on this and yes, we have seen a lot of variability in the Starlink system -- not just between the panels, but on the location around the world. The test you are discussing is in Perth, Australia, and testing in Washington State will have much different results given, as you noted the teleport and the user base. Starlink, also, is constantly making improvements in the service. We have multiple videos of Starlink tested in multiple global locations, and we monitor our customers' Starlink performance as well.
Where you're located has absolutely no relation to users on the other side the planet, in another hemisphere. Starlink cell capacity is VASTLY different for the Western US coast vs the Perth, AU area, especially when it come to POP's relaying the internet traffic. This is not an apples-to-apples comparison. You're actually getting better than advertised speeds, so consider your experience an outlier and NOT the norm.
You left out the biggest reasons this system sucks for business:
1 - Costs, very expensive gear compared to the domestic unit. Ongoing costs also need lubricant to take.
2 - Extra junk Elon forces you to use, Bigger PoE injector then the Ethernet Adapter then you need to the domestic PSU with its horrible WiFi crap just to power the ethernet adapter, joke.
3 - Still supplies horses#!t CGNAT addressing.
4 - Upload speeds are pi$$-poor for business.
I am now using twin domestic units in dual-WAN setups which give beter speeds, less drops and for cheaper.
wow didnt know you could run 2 setups and run them in unison
Did you find the speed of just 1 inadequete? How's the speed with 2? cheers
@@JH-jo9wt Dep[ends on your hardware but I see over 450 with two but this is an aggregate as I have nearly 300 clients sucking on the back. As I said, CGNAT'ed addressing it bullsh!t.
@@JH-jo9wt Not getting into this here, very basic network to understand Multi-WAN setups.
You sound like you know what your talking about when it comes to internet do you think you could maybe help me figure out what setup I need to get to get good gaming and work from home speed? Was thinking abt the business but you kinda made it sounds like shit so what’s a better option and router combo of some kind?
The newer Gen3 standard dish now has IP67 better than the flat high performance of IP56
