    I'm surprised you didn't upgrade his antenna to a 4x4 now that his router supports that and pull the two extra cables. I have been extremely happy with my older Cat-18 Max Transit, mainly due to its ability to combine 4 poor cell signals into a very usable connection even when the RSRP was -110db. Great Vid Andy!

    Will that stick to a silicone roof? My roof is coated with silicone....I some doubts 🤔

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 17 днів тому

      Hi Joe! Yes, this will work with a silicone roof, but you'll want to use a slicone sealant to help ensure it can remain secured to your roof. You can also mount it using screws, then would just need some waterproof sealant about the screw holes. Great video and products. Thank you. I’m new to all this so trying to absorb and then decide a course of action. I just watched the base camp winegard video and was wondering if this router is compatible with base camp. Were there provision made for connecting the 4G winegard antennas to the 5G router like mentioned in the previous video. Perhaps I should schedule a call to lock all this in. We are looking at other solutions/brands that are all in one as well, but the price point of those keeps leading me back to this solution. Thank you.

    Great video guys! I do have a concern though - at the 4 minute mark you say you've seen this adhesive work on a rubber (EPDM?) surface, and was wondering if you guys could recommend a cleaning process or maybe a solution/product that might better work for me to install a ground plane on my EPDM roof? I'm just worried it won't adhere well, and since the antenna will only be adhered to the top of the aluminum sheet, that it'll all just come flying off while I'm driving. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave Місяць тому

      Thanks for reaching out! For sure, I think we can definitely help you out! So, for a rubber/EPDM roof, you'll want to clean the surface with mineral spirits. Then, while not required, you can also use an abrasive to help prep the surface some. Then, all you need is some silicone or water sealant like we sell, Dicor. This will secure the ground plane to your roof and you should be all set! If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

      Hello! I'm sorry to hear you're having issues getting your Starlink connected. So, for this situation, you wouldn't need to put it in Bypass Mode since you aren't using the Starlink router in your setup. Instead, the issue may be because the WAN port could be set up as a LAN port right now. We have an article we made that can help show you how to convert the LAN port to a WAN port and vice versa. Check this article out and see if that fixes the issue: support.mobilemusthave.com/en/support/solutions/articles/67000729461-converting-wan-port-to-lan-port-and-back-to-wan If that doesn't work, reach back out to our support team and let them know and we can help you out with the next steps from there! I know this is an older post but I have been exploring this for use on our full-time fifth wheel. I am a professor that loves to games and grades speeches online, and my family is stable in one location for about 8 months of the year. Would this be a good option for reaching high speeds (300 mbps -400 mbps) while still having a mobile capacity using a combination of campground wifi, t-mobile home internet and the occasional link to a cellular hotspot?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave Місяць тому

      Hello! So, if you were just needing to bond connections from T-Mobile Home Internet, campground wifi and the occasional hotspot link, then the B One would be the perfect router for you! Speeds will ultimately depend on the signal it is able to pull in, but the B One can handle up to 1Gbps of throughput. If you were looking for the option of having a hotspot data plan as an internet option as well, I'd recommend the B One 5G: mobilemusthave.com/products/peplink-b-one-5g?_pos=2&_psq=b+one+5g&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Check that out and if you have any follow-up questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

      Hello! I definitely get what you mean, but the Trio Flatmount may have an option that works with your glass panoramic roof. The Trio Flatmount offers suction cups as a mounting option and you can also add on the Pivot Legs to help with the curvature on your panoramic roof. It will ultimately depend on the strength of your glass roof and the amount of curvature, but it does seem like this option may work for you! If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    How do you protect (weatherproof) the ethernet cable end after removal of the dish?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      So, if you're looking to just waterproof the cable through the roof connection, our Cable Entry Solutions from Icotek will work for you: mobilemusthave.com/pages/cable-entry-systems If you are looking to waterproof the cable end after removing the dish, this would require a different cover of sorts. We don't currently offer a cable cap for this situation, but if you reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com, we can help guide you in the right direction! Thank you!

    Thanks for the info. So let me understand. If i have a T-Mobile sim and a Verizon sim can they reside in the tray and can they bond if I understand that concept? In other words can I be driving down the road using one sim and then seamlessly switch to the other if and when connection drops on one? TYI Joel

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      So, the B One 5G is only a single-modem, so technically it can't bond both SIM cards, but it would switch automatically to the backup SIM card if the main SIM loses service. It won't be exactly seamless though, because you will still have a little downtime as the router switches over to the backup SIM. It doesn't take long though for it to switch over. But isn't a tablet a data device? And the smart phones are using VoLTE so they are really dated devices with phones. Harkens back to the age-old why does it cost more for mobile hotspot data versus the already active cellular data. We somehow have this understanding that date is different if you're using it on a computer versus a phone. It confuses the heck out of users who are sold plans of unlimited usage only to find out that they're hitting a data cap that shouldn't exist on an unlimited plan. But yeah it's still not right to sell tablet plans, but part of this is their fault for having so many darn plans that are so confusing to begin with. And here I was hoping this video was about an MVNO that was offering a Sim card with data on all three networks. This will be very good for a lot of people though.

    Can I use this antenna instead of the Parsec husky pro 7-1? Or do I need both?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      Hello! So, you could definitely use the Peplink Slim 40G model to replace the Husky, but the Husky is a overall stronger antenna with a higher peak signal gain and it has the wifi extension connections, whereas the 40G only has cellular connections. The Slim 40G definitely has its perks though with being able to be interior-mounted and easily moved, if needed. Here's a link to it on our site:mobilemusthave.com/products/peplink-slim-dash-window-mount-antenna?_pos=1&_psq=slim+40&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Check that out and if you have any questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Can you not somehow get rid of the Starlink Router on the Gen3 and connect it to the Peplink without the Starlink router?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      So, there are ways to remove the Starlink router completely from previous versions, but we don't have any firsthand experience with converting the Gen 3 yet, so we're waiting on more information and testing before we recommend a sure route to get rid of the Starlink router. But, from what I'm finding, most people who converted their previous Starlink models are not converting the Gen 3 and just using it with the Starlink router since it has ethernet ports already built-in. If you have any other questions, reach out via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

      I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your TST system. Fortunately, TST does have a 3 year warranty on their TPMS, so as long as it's under 3 years old, should still have a warranty on it according to their site:tsttruck.com/warranty#:~:text=TST%20TPMS%203%2DYEAR%20WARRANTY,a%20period%20of%20three%20years. If you purchased your TST TPMS system through us, you can also reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we can help you out!

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      133 is pretty high, but thankfully that is much higher than the average latency seen from Starlink. According to Starlink's spec sheet, the average latency is 25-60ms in fixed locations: www.starlink.com/legal/documents/DOC-1400-28829-70 If you have any other questions, reach out via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    This was exactly the video I was hoping to find! If you have to do it a second time like you did in this video, do you backflush between the first and second regen, or do you simply drain the canister and then add more salt and warm water?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      Nope, you wouldn't need to do the backflush a 2nd time since it is just a rinse. You would just need to do the regen twice in this scenario. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we can help you out! Thank you!

    If the B One 5G is upgraded to support FusionSIM, would you expect that to be via a Firmware update, so I could benefit from it in the future if I were to purchase the B One 5G now?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      That's a really good question. Unfortunately, FusionSIM is a hardware feature, so it would not be added with future firmware upgrades. How do you feel this performs in tree coverage situations compared to the abilty to move the standard dish around the campsite to find a signal?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      Hello! So, tree coverage can definitely cause an issue with Starlink's signal. Being able to move the dish around will definitely have its benefit with areas where your rig is parked underneath heavy tree coverage, but I will note though that the High-Performance Dish has a larger FOV, thus is capable of better performance in partially obstructed locations. @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      Hello! So, we didn't notice any noise with the Trio Flatmount, but if this is something you're running into, it may be worth it to go with the SpeedMount version of the Trio mounts. The SpeedMount is specifically made for high-speed situations and has a lower footprint and possibly less drag. Here is a link to the SpeedMount on our site: mobilemusthave.com/products/trio-speedmount-for-starlink-gen-3?_pos=2&_psq=speedmount&_ss=e&_v=1.0 If you have any other questions reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Would this work for home internet with an unlimited data plan? Also can i put my own sma antenna on it? We have 1 bar of signal but direct line of sight to the towers about 15 miles away so i think a high gain directional antenna should fix that and make it work here

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave 2 місяці тому

      Hello! Thanks for reaching out! So, the unlimited data plan would depend on if you could get a hotspot data-only SIM card from your provider. If you have T-Mobile or Verizon Home Internet, it may not work directly, but you would have to confirm with them to know for sure. Alternatively, you can connect the home internet gateway to the Peplink router through the WAN port. This would allow you to bond the signal with another data plan installed in the Peplink router and a wireless connection through Wifi-as-WAN as well. Yes, as long as your antenna has SMA connections, it should work just fine! If you did need to upgrade your antenna, I'd recommend the Poynting XPOL Directional Antenna: mobilemusthave.com/products/xpol-2-5g-us-5g-600mhz-high-gain-cross-polarized-lte-mimo-antenna?_pos=1&_psq=directional&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Hope this helps!
