Fun fact:
DR Koncerthuset is the musical UA-cam channel of DR.
DR is the first Danish radio- and TV station. They go back to 1925. We used to pay to them via media license, but it now goes via taxes. In other words, it's a national station, owned by the people of Denmark.
They have their own concert hall - hence the name DR Koncerthuset (Denmark Radio concert house), their own orchestra, which at the same time is our national symphony orchestra, their own choirs (men, boys, girls, women), big band and so on.
What I love about them. Is how they do shows with scores from games and movies.
They go nerd. With epic music and some of the most talented singers and musicians in the world.
They done Skyrim, Game of Thrones here, and many others.
Especially the representation from games is a huge thing. I attended the Raiders concert. I hoped that they would include the theme from Uncharted, which they thankfully did. It is so nice to see the recognition that music in gaming is just as good as that of the movies.
I am going again in may to hear their gaming concert.
The howls are from the inhabitants of Castamere, as they are being drowned by Tywin Lannister. The whole song is meant to warn everyone what happens when they mess with the Lannisters. (And is used at a certain wedding on the show, showing once again how ruthless and cruel Tywin can be to achieve his goals).

You are thinking of the The Royal Danish Orchestra which dates back to 1448.

Hi Heidi,
I was at one of these concerts. The Danish National Symphony Orchestra does them every year as an “easy” and fun start to the season. The concerts have different themes, like “westerns”, “science fiction”, “adventure”. This one was called Fantasymphony (I believe you can find the album both here and on various music streaming sites).
It was music from fantasy movies and video games. So Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and the like.
I think the musicians and singers are allowed to dress up if they like, but there are “rules”. Like “if you do, wear green”, etc.
Extra fun fact: these concerts are preceded by a quiz. My two friends and I have been to three. My friend won the quiz twice (this being one), and I won once (the adventure/Indiana Jones one).

As for dress up they do follow some guidelines. For example in one concert that played music from video games all the bald men in the orchestra had black suits with red ties as this is the outfit Agent 47 from the Hitman games wear (he is also bald). The game is made by a Danish company, so it was a tribute to that.
Bonus fact. The voice of Agent 47 is sometimes in the concerts as he has a really great voice (another one you could swoon over).

Ive been to the concert hall before, its such a beautiful hall with very very good sound. Their videos are top notch but seeing it in person is just something else..
Im going in May to see their gaming symphony where they will play the music from the popular video games through time, like Mario theme and Zelda theme
And Tina Rau played the cello. Also known from when she apeared at wacken with Sabaton and they did Swedish pagens, watch that!
