Even if it isn't rigged, officiating over the last few years has been unacceptably inconsistent. If the NBA wants to keep the league credible in the eyes of their fans, they need to do a better job at training, standardizing and overseeing their officiating crews.
The refs are simply following orders from the nba league office. They can’t have completely competent refs cause if they did they would have no one to blame for bs calls
Their sponsors are literally legalized bookies. Every other commercial is about gambling and the announcers do promos about sports betting every break after a quarter ends or during a live timeout.
The gambling shit needs to die. We all know that. The increase in gambling has changed the everything. Also youtubers who have gambling sponsors are shit, yes boy is part of that. And others. How are we in the future allowing people to spam addiction at people still? How about no. Alcohol cigarettes, and gambling need to go away as a sponsor. That ain't right to people who have only one life. Stop fucking with their minds. Then we can get actual games without referees betting on the side. It's clear they have a side agenda at times. No one is that fucking blind. Even players. Looking at you MICHAEL JORDAN.
All you need to know about Tim Donaghy is that the FBI went to David Stern, showed him their evidence, and told him that there were more refs that they wanted his cooperation to help uncover. David Stern then held a public press conference and outlined what evidence the FBI had against Tim Donaghy, destroying the rest of their investigation and putting the other refs on notice. Scott Foster is a senior NBA official.
@@antokarman2064because what he did was technically not illegal. The FBI should have had him sign an agreement beforehand but stupidly they trusted him.
He worked the refs all game long, and he was probably worse than Luka. Remember Luka had a fan rejected, so why shouldn't Tim have started a nuisance from the bench? Bench fouls are rare (except on coaches, if you call that a bench), and for the record, I don't think Luka has been blessed with one of those yet. It just seems Tim was just loving bitching at them all the time, while it seems Luka don't care when he's not in there. It seems most complaining players save it for when they're in the game, and Tim too, but he was just chronic, so it doesn't surprise me he got called on the bench too. Would love to see a whole bench T'd up once and give the other team like seven T shots. Would you say that Tim was the primary Spurs bitcher back then? I think Gen Nose Bleed was pretty high up there.
Don’t forget Ayesha Curry calling the games rigged and the fact there is an nba ref that has beef with Chris Paul. This is unacceptable officiating by the NBA and I’m glad you are bringing awareness to it. There needs to be a change to the integrity of the NBA
Ayesha curry calls the game rigged whenever Steph loses a game, she’s just the average fan lol. Just because you CALL it rigged when you lose, doesn’t make it rigged 😂🤣
Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future…
Particularly egregious in that Kings-Lakers game--Mike Bibby (Sacramento's best player during that series) was elbowed by a Laker. No call. Bibby's nose started bleeding. The rule at the time was that if there was blood, the team is charged a time out. The Kings were charged with their LAST time out. The Heat-Mavericks finals (Wade before LeBron got there) was so clearly rigged. The refs just kept calling fouls on the Mavericks. They weren't allowed to play defense against Wade. And frickin' LeBron. He just gets every call. Flop-offensive foul. Drive to the basket-foul on the defense. The refs have coddled him since he was a rookie.
Don't forget that phantom foul called for Kareem (on Bill Laimbeer) in the Finals of 88 too. Since we're talking about The Lakers "always getting advantages."
That’s why I don’t really watch sports anymore, the older i have gotten, the less I believe that it’s fair and balanced. The referees have ultimate control over the game and you (the player or coach) can’t question anything or else you get fined and (or) suspended. It’s a bunch of BS. That’s why nowadays I just check out box scores and if my team wins I might watch the condensed version on UA-cam or not at all.
True, but the Lakers are 2nd at rim frequency, 5th in post-ups and 3rd in possessions finished by the roll man. AD and Lebron are 3rd and 5th in the league with shot attempts within 5ft or closer.
@@pekie5533 2nd, 5th, 3rd in the categories you listed, yet the lakers lead the number 1 teams in those categories by 15+ ft a game. Sounds like your evidence is further proof of the rigging.
@@darylfindley7551 There aren't a lot of teams who are better combined in those categories and have more players than the Lakers with two players taking more shots from 5ft and closer.
@@darylfindley7551 Maybe this will simplify it. The BEST NFL team usually have an average offense + defensive ranking of around 5... meaning, #1 in offense and #9 in defense, or #4 on offense, #6 in defense. Ranking 2/3/5 out of 30 almost guarantees you that you are #1 overall when looking at the average of those 3 stats.
Look, I stopped trying to understand NBA officiating around 2013. I have no idea what a travel is anymore, what an illegal screen is, what a foul in motion is, what a tech is, what taunting is... No clue. I can describe you basically every offensive and defensive system. I can explain the most obscure trade exceptions and cap rules. But what a simple shooting foul is? No clue! That changes from posession to posession, from player to player. So is it rigged? As long as there are no clear rules and no accountability for refs, if they call things differenty, I have to asume it is. Other sports like Football (the real one that is played with the foot) get it done. If the NBA cant, they just dont want to.
NFL can be rigged though, from the Brady era Patriots getting favorable calls an no calls like the no calls of them holding Colt's WRs, to the blatant pass interference no call in the playoffs against the Saints.
Well I can help on the travelling thing at least. A travel is taking more than 2 steps while in possession of the ball without dribbling and without being named LeBron James.
That's what the rules are for. To make things be able to go either way. They always have an excuse. Blatantly blow a call and it's I'm sorry. Change the rule next year.
Great video bro. I'll never forget watching that lakers kings game and was beside myself. This is coming from massive fan of basketball from Toronto, Canada. So I had no bias in that game, however I was cheering on the kings because I thought they had great chemistry all Season as a team. Not just 2 dudes.
Watching the Timberwolves try defending Embiid earlier this season was crazy. You can’t touch him, 18 free throws by himself. While the box score looks comparable, the Wolves 3 big men had 2 infractions in the first 5 minutes. The game was over immediately…
If it is wwe, i think he’s referring to the storylines and theatrics for us to see parallels. Which is an exaggeration but lakers vs gsw playoffs last year. Come on, they couldnt cover the disparity against the nuggets but they tried
Y'all gotta stop with this Steph hating. His shooting is the reason they had trouble rigging during his career. They actively try to constrain him. Whoever thinks Steph is the problem is trying to deflect from Lebron. Look at the all time free throw attempted list and tell me what you see. If the league was trying to uplift Steph, he would not be ranked in the lower 100’s for free throw attempts. The man is being scape goated in several videos and comments recently bc Lebron has his minions in the media at work. Jmo
@@greatbingus Don't get me wrong. I do not doubt Jokic's greatness, and I'm a big fan of his. However, as you may know, there was a lot of criticism in the sports press for his two MVP awards (which I thought he fully deserved). I just think he's overly boring to a lot of people, and he is clearly not someone the NBA is pushing as a highest profile superstar. It's the same way Tim Duncan could not serve as the face of the league either, despite his own greatness.
As a Timberwolves fan, I can attest to lottery manipulation. From 89-2020, the Wolves were in 22 lotteries from 90-2019. Not once did they move up; they kept their spot 10 times and moved back 12 times. The odds of that happening, according to statisticians who worked for insurance companies, was one in thousands.
Mavs have never one time improved their spot. I think Heat also. Mavs wanted Luka at 3rd pick and had 3rd worst record. But again they fell and it cost them a quality 1st rounder to get back to 3rd.
Many sports are probly fixed/rigged but the average person doesn't care and will still watch because most people don't care enough about honesty and would lie and cheat to get ahead.
The FBI dropped the ball when they told the NBA they were investigating one ref rather than keeping their trap shut and investigating the entire league.
Dang bro, much respect! You know how many Lakers fans you can talk to, show them this, and they will still find some way to dismiss it. Salute to you for being able get out of your fandom and to just be honest about what you saw. 🫡
@@geraldchristopher8319 same here I never liked the Lakers again after watching that series. And to be honest I never respected that 3peat either, it just felt fake and unearned.
here's another theory. The envelope doesn't have to be frozen. You just have to make sure all of the envelopes say New York Knicks inside. Extremely simple and please be aware that an envelope won't stay cold for very long which raises the risk that it doesn't work
lol you showing reeves in the video made me remember the warrios vs lakers matchup last year that whenever he drives to the basket he just needed to fall and a foul was called. It was so frustrating and the fakers fan (became a lakers fan because of lbj) kept saying the warriors only has small amount of freethrows because they only kept shooting threes but when I watched the game and they were fouled inside and outside the 3pt line and the ref was so blind.
@@dicktipton5912 I haven’t faithfully watched any sport since 2011. When I saw Lebron and them come back in 2016 to beat the Warriors I was like yeah right!!! Draymond was kicking the crap out of Steven Adams and nothing happened. He swipes at Lebron and gets a one game suspension? Also the Warriors go 73-9 and the Cavs beat them? That whole finals series was dedicated to Lebron. First and foremost, the Warriors should’ve never even made it themselves. The Thunder had them and we’re up 3-1. That whole year was just insane. That season there really was the icing on the cake! I was like this league is so rigged and so is football. I genuinely would rather watch little league play through high school before I watch any type of professional sports. The Sixers are my team, but I’m not even rooting for them. I just can’t when the NBA is the way it is. It takes so much fun away from the game I use to love.
@@OrondeB could you point out to anything that suggests the 2016 finals was rigged though? both teams had similiar FTs. i just think the Warriors didn`t play at 100% while the Cavs played out of their mind. Lebron and Kyrie both scoring over 27ppg while Steph only managed 22. Klay and Draymond both under 20ppg. Warriors had more turnovers and less offensive rebounds. The Cavs won game 7 by just 4 pts. In Game 7 Steph only made 4 out of 14 from 3pt and finished with 17pts`while Klay made just 2 of 10 3pts and finished with 14pts. they didnt lose because it was rigged, they lost because they choked.
i saw a thing today saying that the refs are going to start wearing sponsored patches because "the refs are getting a lot more screen time than they used to." ..........yeah that's what I was thinking too.
Think? Nope. The people KNOW that this joke is rigged. They might as well come out and declare themselves sports entertainment just like the NFL and WWE.
I think with all the betting commercials and how the NBA are promoting it, there is something definitely funny going on, and this time they can't get away with it as easily because of social media, and stat junkies now days. Everyone is watching and keeping track and now we have to hold the NBA accountable, this was an excellent video thank you
Thank God because I love to sports bet and I would be extremely discouraged to find out that everything is rigged. I’m glad that the NBA is under a magnifying glass with stat junkies and sports bettors paying close attention. Let the players play and let the bettors bet, simple.

Ping pong ball lottery drawing would be an absolutely HUGE ratings bonanza. Only possible logical reason it's not televised is the league head office sees MUCH more value in determining where top prospects go.
Of course. It would make it harder to rig. Anyone who thinks the nba isn’t heavily rigged by the refs and the draft isn’t rigged is delusional. After Lebron left Cleveland they won the 1st pick 3 out of the 4 years! The odds of that are astronomical. Bordering on impossible
I think the league set up the pelicans. They actually owned the team and had a chance to sell it but wanted to make sure they got the most out of it so they promised the new owner a #1 pick and they got Zion out of it.
@@fieryjalapenos4442 The league has not owned New Orleans in a decade. The Saints owner owns it.... Now you might be right about Anthony Davis, it was around that time.
The NBA and NFL are classified as "Sports Entertainment". You know what else is classified as "Sports Entertainment"? WWE. This gives them an out to try rig the game as they see fit without trying to make it look obvious.
The NBA is entertainment, it's purpose is to bring in money. The NBA has AI telling them what they need to do to bring in the most money, and that is what they are doing.
RIGGED!!!! Its business. Its about bling bling, and every team must take turns to be contender or NBA champ. Warriors got their bonus 2 seasons ago. At present whatever effort Warriors do-will go to naught. Just watched the toe to toe previous games of Warriors. Example: if Warriors almost gonna win a game then unexpectedly-you'll hear a LOUD WHISTLE(s). I think its too frustrating to Warriors players esp. to those exerting exceptional effort every game.
When a team doesn't get free-throws unless the Refs want them to, we know the entire NBA is crooked and a disgrace. It's just another politically run, nasty organization.
Currys won like 4 rings, was in the finals 6 times.... If they did not want the Warriors winning, the LA Clippers would have beat them, Houston would have beaten them, OKC would have beat them
Oh definitely the amount of bets that lose for just one point, one rebound or one assist is proof, like how can this sportsmen can live with their conscience
People acting like he gets star treatment need to see what he goes through in a game they literally be scratching and pulling on his jersey all game and the refs let them get away with it just because most of it happens offball doesn't mean they're not fouls he should probably average like 10 FTs A game
The dude that gets paid MILLIONS AND MILLIONS AND MILLIONS by living at the three point line? Maybe he'd get more foul calls if he'd stop flopping on every shot when the defender breathes in his direction.
If you think Curry flops too much or that since he 'lives at the three point line' he doesnt deserve free throws then: 1. You CLEARLY have not watched even a single game of his. And 2. You probably need to wear a helmet when you poop. He , just like Jokic, gets pretty much moles ted every night by defenders who fear his shooting. But he rarely gets enough free throws. Just watch the 2022 Finals and see...
@michaelelliott3209 R u stupid? U clearly haven't watched any of Curry's games. It's like he's getting shot out there. I'm a Lakers fan btw and u suck
Over the last two seasons, the LA Lakers have been awarded over 1000 more free throws than their opponents. They have shot almost 1700 more than the Warriors.
Curry and Klay are magnet merchants... They do they need to shoot FT's when the League just turns the magnets on for those 2 and makes them look like the best shooters of all time when in reality, both are frauds
As a Pistons fan, so many situations come to mind... 88 finals, Wade shooting over 20 FTs in the 4th, etc. And yes, both Sacto and Portland were stripped of their shot at a title by the refs against the Lakers in the early 2000s.
Yeah but this joke wants to shit talk pistons we still got chips when this bs is rigged 04 was the last chip not rigged refs hated Detroit. Sheed couldn’t even look these cowards in the eyes without a tech
1988 Finals between Pistons and Lakers was the most blatantly rigged in NBA history. Pistons up 3-2, about to win gm 6 - and league "fixer" Dick bivetta took over. Called phantom foul on Laimbeer to cause gm 7. Everyone knows. But what happened in gm 7 was WORSE. Lakers up 1 and made layup to go up 108-105, with 2 seconds still on the clock. Pistons had no timeouts. As Laimbeer went to inbound the ball, the Laker's fans were already rushing on the court, thinking game was already over. The Lakers bench players and coaches did too. Isiah darted between fans. Despite this, Laimbeer fullcourt inbound pass hit Isiah in-stride with a chance for a game-tying 3. Before he could get 1 dribble, Magic collided with him, knocking him to the floor, surrounded by fans. This was game 7 of the NBA Finals and... THE REFS LET IT STAND!! Not only was no foul called on Magic, but the "correct call" per NBA rules was supposed to be a tech on Lakers players for coming on the court(2 free throws) and a tech on Lakers crowd interfering with live gameplay (2 more free throws). The Pistons should've got 4 free throws, AND the ball back with 2 seconds. Don't know why this rigged gm 7 DOESN'T get more coverage than the phantom foul of gm 6... Oh wait, yes i do!
Agreed and this continued into the 2000s and beyond with the NBA favoring the Lakers. They got so many series rigged to thier advantage. But yes 1988 that was rediculious and a clear rig job. How can fans and players be allowed to interfere with the final play, and nothing be done? Just insane.
I agree. When I saw that old footage of the end of game 7 a few years ago, I was shocked! End of NBA Finals game 7 and it was just pandemonium. No calls.
@@robertwiles8106 over? How you figure? Isiah put up 43 with that busted ankle, and Lakers still needed refs to cheat, twice, to fix the series for them.
@@nathanlawson313 He was just so busted up for game 7 you just knew the pistons weren't going to have the mojo to win it all even though they were right there with the Lakers. What got them over the hump was the Dantley Aguirre trade. Aguirre was a BEAST and a significant upgrade over Dantley at that point in time. To have an offensive machine like Aguirre coming off the bench was like having a Microwave and an EVEN BETTER Microwave.
The NBA sucks today. The rules are weak tea. Players exemplify this weak tea. No defense, no toughness, no real tough rivalries. It started back when the NBA wanted to make a really strong player the greatest player ever. MJ couldn't get it done with how the game was played in the 1980's. So the game started getting soft. Three steps, palming the ball and if you sneezed you got called for a foul on MJ. Don't get me wrong, Jordan was great, but 6 rings could never have been achieved if they played with 1980's rules and style.
If think about the fact that the NBA is a business and it is selling entertainment as a product, then it actually becomes very clear that there is a very high chance that the NBA is indeed rigged. Why is that? Perhaps rigging the NBA makes the product (entertainment) better for everyone to enjoy and in the same time maximizes revenue(s) as one of the important KPIs of any business. So there is a nice incentive to try influence some aspects in order to gain benefits. Better questions to ask could be: 1. Is the NBA having a decreased rate of revenue growth? 2. And why is that? Also, another alternative might be to just rig it better. :D
Heck last night the lakers shot 22 free throws to Denver’s 7. And I watched all the lakers bigs including AD foul Jokic all night and not get called for it. It was a play where AD dang near pushed Jokic down and when he fell and AD tripped over him, Jokic was called for the foul and the lakers shot free throws. It’s sad, the league is trying to cheat the lakers into the playoffs and it’s still not working
Both professional and non professional boxing are rigged is an even more crazy way. Even European football is rigged certain years (not all years), BUT it is not rigged the same way it is with the NBA. In NBA it's the NBA itself which makes the NBA rigged. For european soccer it is corruption, corrupted refs in particular.
Those are not single cases. Its a pattern where the nba choose to give an advantage to the teams which bring the most money in the playoffs. its going on for decades. So me personally I try to avoid supporting the nba financally in any way possible.
I feel like American sports are pretty easy to rig. It’s a organization with owners that rent teams. The nba or mlb or nfl control everything. There’s no separate leagues or teams that can try to hold another team or ref accountable like in football. Actual complaints to the organization of UEFA, or La Liga, or the Premier league is a thing. There’s the refs association and fifa. These things are obviously connected, but are also separate. Rigging most definitely happens in sports where there’s drafting odds, and there’s clear signs of ref issues. I mean why would David stern leak the ref details? There’s obviously other refs who were rigging this shit. Also there’s much harder punishments in football for example. refs who do bad jobs have basically had to retire within 2 seasons after really really bad games. Actual consequences. Idk, maybe being to commercialized is a bad thing? Maybe there’s a reason why the nba always merged with other leagues who became decently big until the 80’s. Monopolizing the whole sport means there’s no real consequence for those who set up the whole system. The refs, the upper management. No consequences unless it’s actually illegal, and you’re somehow stupid enough to get caught.
That’s kinda what’s going on rn, rigging things is so blatant that even the idiots who can’t keep it subtle are also doing it, which makes it improbable that anyone is genuinely clean
What about the NBA using frequencies and technology in their game ball? When you shoot a basketball, it’s supposed to stay at a constant rate when tou shoot the ball and when it is on it’s way down. But in the NBA, the hall speeds up and pulls towards the hoop on certain shots to make the ball go in. Just slow it down and put it in slow mo 0.25x. You’ll see what I’m talking about.
Sometimes the balls just spins and spins around the rim, like I played basketball the ball just doesnt spin like that around the rim, and sometimes the ball just wont go in like the rim is double rimmed, theres definitely something going on there.
yo ik people gas you up for being “only talking about the warriors” but i’ve been watching ur channel for a while and your videos have improved so much since then and you’ve provided some really good analysis. keep up the good work and tbh good job on using steph thumbnails
The official nba rules only apply when rigging needs to take place. so many missed offensive leg kick no calls, hand checking at the top of the key, and of course, travelling. The rules exist to give room to the refs to rig the game.
Go back and look at the lone title the Cavs have when LeFlop returned. Now look at Game 4 and take a second look at the Dray and LeFlop incident. Dray hit LeFlop in the inner thigh, not higher. Then LeFlop runs to the league front office, probably straight to Silver who waited for LeFlop with open arms and saying it's ok cry baby, daddy will make it better. If that doesn't say the league has been rigged, I literally don't know what does. Yeah the Lakers get a shit ton of free throws no matter where they are attacking from on the court. The Lakers are also literally the only team that is allowed to play defense. This is why I have stopped caring about watching basketball, no matter who is playing. Everything is built on a narrative for this league. Take Wemby for example, you really think the front office wants a second rookie winning the Rookie of the Year in Chet? Yeah, I don't think so either. You get like a quarter of the story and present it like it's the whole pie, you can do better and should do better. Don't be another LeFlop giving 10% effort. Go hard or go home.

The Bulls this year lost their 2nd rd pick for talking to Lonzo Ball about joining the team before he was officially a free agent. However, James back when he was joining the Heat contacted Bosh about joining him during the season, he was still under contract, and talked Wade into staying again he wasn't allowed to do that either. He was a representative of a team under contract so James had no right to contact any players under contract. Even when the season ends the players are still can't be contacted until a certain amount of days had past. James didn't wait until the season was over even. This isn't a rule that has changed, in fact every sport including NASCAR has a rule that no one under contract can be approached by any individual from another team about joining them, player, coach or management.
And after Lebron left the cavs won the 1st pick 3 TIMES! Exactly what would be needed to give them the assets needed for Lebron to go back and form another super team once he was ready to bail on the Heat
Don’t forget to include How teams nowadays are constantly manipulating outcomes by benching players for “rest” / “knee soreness” or some other bullshit. They easily get away with not putting the best players on the court as they’re trying to manipulate the standings. Best evidence is literally the last 3-4 games of the NBA season, where nba teams are holding players back . So ridiculous. They literally devalue these games and expect fans to pay for it. I’m done with the NBA . So garbage.
US Sports are completely controlled by the team owners. Fans have no say. So owners are allowed to maximize revenues. That's why teams can stay horribly bad for decades as their owners keep getting their cut from TV revenues. In Europe sports are regulated so that fans get the best experience. Every year the bottom teams GO DOWN (are relegated) to the lower level leagues making them miss out hugely on revenues. So while top and middling teams fight to either win championships and or be eligible for various cups, teams near the bottom fight even harder to not be relegated! In the US bottom teams get REWARDED with higher draft pick positions! With such control by owners, why wouldn't games be rigged to maximize viewership?
The fact of the matter is that the biggest problem in every major sport (basketball, football, soccer, baseball, I can only assume hockey as well) is the officiating. The refs are given free rein to do whatever they please without any oversight and without any accountability. The refs need to be held to the same standards that the players and coaches are and criticism of them needs to be more acceptable, especially when they routinely make clown calls game after game after game.
PNW? What exactly is that? I know of PHX! Did you mean that? Because as a Phoenix Suns fan myself, I can second that notion myself. Doubly so since he kept Donald Sterling as a Clippers owner for so damn long in the first damned place! And let's not forget about the Seattle SuperSonics either.....
Don't forget the coverup of the referee scandal. The feds had him and he agreed to wear a wire to get others on tape. They let the NBA know of their investigation into game fixing and Stern immediately went public with it.This alerted suspects of the witness and killed any chance of them learning more. The ref was exiled and the NBA quickly called him an isolated incident and declared that nobody else was involved.
it's not just the NBA. big gaming controls all sports now. Watch closely and you will see refs with ear pieces used to listen to the bosses upstairs and call games as they are told. The only real sport left is pro wrestling; they admit it to be a staged event but have awesome athletes.
8:26 y’all just gonna keep ignoring the fact that a good amount of those fouls were intentional fouls???? Or just gonna keep spewing the same bs every other person says?
I hate when people use shot selection as a reason for why a team does or doesn’t get more free throws. Whether a shot is taken from behind the 3 point line or in the paint, it shouldn’t change what the literal definition of a foul is. Like just cuz Steph shoots 13 3s in one game, refs aren’t supposed to call fouls when he get hit going to the rim and literally gets knocked down? If we’re calling it a foul on one end, if the literal exact same play takes place on the other end, it shouldn’t be called cuz “Well they shoot 3s.”
I also don’t think free throws are the best way to give a team the win. The quality of fouls called on both sides is even worse than getting free throws. By calling soft fouls on one side and only hard fouls on the other, it gives the team called for harder fouls more room to make offensive plays.
In my opinion, this video is dead on. I don't have to look at stats to know this. Because of corruption, we may never know what team is the best in the NBA. All I know for sure is that it is not the Lakers. If the Lakers did not get as many free throws, they would firmly sit near or at the bottom of the league. Gambling turned pro boxing into the most corrupt sport in the world. Now, other sports are turning into a haven for the criminal element. Gamblers don't care about honest, fair sports they care only about money, and thats the bottom line.
Just like the Lakers did in the 2 games after the Warriors a little while ago. And they lost by a lot. I think, since it was so obvious against the Warriors, and the whole nation got to see it, TPTB were afraid that people would be watching for it. Now, they just hope you forget.
The NBA is the easier of the major professional sports to rig, arguably. Football, the refs only have a narrow window where schenanigans can occur. Baseball boils down to balls n strikes. (Which unto itself is large. Though I bet in some cases, it's a matter of an ump BSing a call because he blinked) NBA however, the referees are empowered to pause the action at almost ANY point due to whatever collisions they deem to be 'foul worthy.' Or any interactions they deem to be 'ejection worthy.' Hell, I swear the narrative a year or two ago, was "Avoiding ejecting key players' as it would 'negatively effect the game.' And yet, this season, we've had quite a few ejections that have been almost as bad, as Tim Duncans for sitting on the bench, laughing.
That 2002 NBA finals Game 6 was so over-the-top blatant. People always say - Kobe is so great he has 5 championships! First of all... NO he doesn't. Second of all, Shaq was the #1 on that time BY FAR and I am not even sure Kobe was #2
Yep the stink goes all the way back to King's Lakers playoffs. I've been watching the NBA for over 50 years. And it's nice to see someone so clearly presenting the evidence of the stink that favors the Lakers. And this year there's a special stink that's been against the Warriors. 🤮
What really blew me away was in the playoffs last year. Wiggins, mindful of whistles, jumped up when Davis shot, and even though Wiggins was a good 2 feet from him, they called him for a foul. Wonder why the Warriors couldn't defend in that series? That's one of the answers.
@@IblewuponyourfaceIII Superstar favoritism and refs trying to influence the outcome of games has been happening before that. The Kareem phantom call against Laimbeer, for example. It's just that it gets more obvious when one team needs A LOT of ref help to beat other teams, like the Lakers did in 2023. And sometimes the NBA just wants to extend a series. That worked against MJ in 1997 when he got a totally clean block on Stockton at a pivotal moment in Game 4 and the call actually went against him. The NBA definitely wanted that series to go back to Chicago. Just like they wanted Cavs/Warriors to go beyond five games in 2016 after LeBron and Kyrie wet the bed in Game 4.
Its not rigged in the sense that each game is predetermined but in the sense that the commission encourages refs to favor one team over the other in foul calls. No one is putting into these concise words. Thats all it is, the players arent involved. Anything more than this is not what the fanbase and coaches are referring to.
@ch-yq5yn +100000. I think the refs will help by doing whatever is in their control. But if the unfavored team is just too good, their hands are tied to some extent. The biggest damming evidence would be a winning team or player to admit there are unfair calls in their favor. But why would you ever out yourself if you're the benefactor
Nah y'all just forcing yourselves into the delusional, these TV sports are fake scripted drama filled trash cans. And if you want to look at it differently, best know you lying to yourself.
Vegas has a line on everything. It probably goes farther than we think. If you can bet on it, there will be people taking advantage of it. Sports are “entertainment “ now. Definitely rigged. The Lakers are a prime example.
Don't forget about Rockets VS Warriors in 2018 was rigged but people are just blinded by them missing 27 straight 3 pointers even tho Harden made 3s that were fouls but they didn't count them
Nope it’s just playoff basketball and refs aren’t gonna give harden the same calls that they do in reg season. Literally happens every time he’s in playoffs
Who is more at fault? The league? Or the viewers? I mean, the fact that people continue watching it and acting like it's real competitive basketball no matter how obvious it is that the outcomes are dictated. They get away with it because most fans just compare the Free Throw advantages as if that can tell us anything about whether it's rigged. When the way they rig it is so much more complex than that.
As a long suffering Bullets/Wizards fan I can't agree more with this video akd it's not just the Lakers that get the star treatment. It's ANY MAJOR MARKET TEAM thats gets the calls and the higher rated officiating crews. Boston, LA, Dallas, GS, PHX etc. 2/9/24 Wiz @ Celtics Boston had 24 ft attempts by the start if the 4th quarter! Also the challenge rule is a joke. In a different game vs the Suns I watched 2 challenges of the same foul. Wiz player drives the lane and Durant arrives late to take a charge and get the call. Wiz challenge and lose. Later in the 3rd Durant runs over Poole with a his arm extended and is called for a charge. Suns challenge and get the call reversed. The NBA systematically will not allow the lower tier markets to succeed. There are exceptions like Toronto, GS, Memphis and Denver but only because they aquired superstars late in the draft or free agency. Players used to have to EARN the respect of the refs. That change with Lebron. They crowned him almost immediately.
You think GS gets favor from refs?? Have you seen how many free throw attempts Steph gets? Almost all his career points have come from actual shots bot free throw attempts. He is a superstar thay gets little love from the refs.
WRESTLING HAS NOTHING ON THE NBA, I quit watching it, ive never seen such racism as I do from NBA ers, it is nothing but 3's and slam dunk and fouls (reduce fouls to 5) refs are playing favorites, Draft is rigged, gambling by refs and possibly players is almost assurdely being done. I hate it, havent watched it since G.S. a few years ago won their 1st Championship. Ive despised the commisioner and now they slobber all over themselves to get Chinese money and say nothing about human rights. FtNBA
It sucks for all of us that have a team that we truly have passion for. I can prove that whatever criminal organization (Mob, Mafia or a group acting like philanthropists yet control the decision makers is these leagues. So here's my proof: It's impossible even with the most advanced super algorithm to get every line of every game in every sport almost dead on. Logically.... It's impossible unless they control who can tilt the ice or floor or field. I just watched the Florida Panthers game tonight vs the NY Ilanders. The refs ignored close to 6 penalties in the first 2 periods. One was a stop on a shot by our goalie where our guy was in position to rebound it and their guy clearly tripped him into the goalie and took the puck and easily put in it the net. I wasn't even worried cause it was so obvious. The refs got together and called it a goal. Our coach, who is the 2nd leading active coach in all time wins just couldn't believe it. The announcers were slipping out of their always professional manner and flipped into a shocked and angry fan. Maurice, our coach quickly hit the challenge button figuring it was a no brainer. It took the more time to put their headphones on than to look at the screen. Still our to broadcasters were like, "It took them no time at all. This is an easy call." Then head ref put his mic on and GOOD GOAL with no explanation. So not only did the illegal goal count but because we lost the challenge we go a man down and then they go on the power play. And that's just one instance in that game that can't be explained away saying the just missed. It was all game. So yeah ... Sports are rigged when whoever needs that one to end a certain wait says to do so.
Do you think David Stern rigged the 1985 draft?

Even if it isn't rigged, officiating over the last few years has been unacceptably inconsistent. If the NBA wants to keep the league credible in the eyes of their fans, they need to do a better job at training, standardizing and overseeing their officiating crews.

The refs are simply following orders from the nba league office. They can’t have completely competent refs cause if they did they would have no one to blame for bs calls
The thing is the league is on it too.
The last few years? More like the last few decades.
Unless the ratings drop dramatically because of the officiating, the league won't do a thing about it
Their sponsors are literally legalized bookies.

When I saw Tim Duncan get a technical foul while sitting on the bench (not even standing) for laughing, let's just say I had my suspicions. 🤔

Why would the NBA allow such a thing? Jews.
Funny thing about Lakers FT disparity is that they are at the bottom in attacking the paint but still, the Ft disparity next to the 2nd is 200+.
True, but the Lakers are 2nd at rim frequency, 5th in post-ups and 3rd in possessions finished by the roll man. AD and Lebron are 3rd and 5th in the league with shot attempts within 5ft or closer.

Don't you love the "step-throughs" and moving screens?
That's what the rules are for. To make things be able to go either way. They always have an excuse. Blatantly blow a call and it's I'm sorry. Change the rule next year.

Better questions to ask could be:
22 FTs for lakers, 7 for Nuggets on Kobe statue night.
It's the most obviously rigged sport on the planet.
No, that's school.
@@colt1903school is not a sport my guy😂
I was thinking the nfl and nba
Both professional and non professional boxing are rigged is an even more crazy way.
Even European football is rigged certain years (not all years), BUT it is not rigged the same way it is with the NBA. In NBA it's the NBA itself which makes the NBA rigged. For european soccer it is corruption, corrupted refs in particular.
bro said school was the most rigged sport..what the f*** you on 😂
Those are not single cases.
You’ll see what I’m talking about.
well damn, i thought i heard it all before this one.
ig this proves jordan is still the best
Sometimes the balls just spins and spins around the rim, like I played basketball the ball just doesnt spin like that around the rim, and sometimes the ball just wont go in like the rim is double rimmed, theres definitely something going on there.

The official nba rules only apply when rigging needs to take place. so many missed offensive leg kick no calls, hand checking at the top of the key, and of course, travelling. The rules exist to give room to the refs to rig the game.
Question: If the NBA is rigged... what about the Super Bowl?
I can see it as of late.
Everything.
It’s all rigged, especially now that it’s legal to bet on games. All just entertainment.
NFL is even more rigged

In the earlier years of Lebron's career the nba bent over backwards to cater to his play.
Rigged? No. Huge bias concerning certain players? Absolutely. I still can't get over how L.A. shot 43 free throws in one game. That's just crazy.
If the bias affects the outcome, it's rigged. Sorry to break it to you.
That’s what rigged means. Manipulating an outcome
In the 1993 NBA western finals the Suns shot 64 FTs in game 7 to set up a Barkley-Jordan final.
Another Dick Bavetta special.
When a lot of money is involved, it's rigged.
What a coincidence Hometown players like Lebron and Derick Rose went to their home towns.
And after Lebron left the cavs won the 1st pick 3 TIMES! Exactly what would be needed to give them the assets needed for Lebron to go back and form another super team once he was ready to bail on the Heat
@tanic0925yexactly the nba robbed Kobe of ring number 6
Bring back one step after dribble - else traveling... and tight calls on carrying... PLEASE!
You convinced me laker fans love watching free throws😂😂
Don’t forget to include
How teams nowadays are constantly manipulating outcomes by benching players for “rest” / “knee soreness” or some other bullshit.
Hockey at least isn't rigged, it's just atrocious lol. It would be nearly impossible to rig hockey

As a NBA fan out in the PNW, I can confidently say I think you mean "the late NOT SO GREAT David Stern"..
That 2002 game six still infuriates me.
Same for 2007's Western Conference Semifinals myself.
“Its a complete crap!”
Exactly and if you look at the stats the Lakers shot a lot of threes that game too but they got 40+ free throws to win by 1 point
Yeah, it the dumbest sh!t I've ever heard.
Aye bruh… that randomly inserted Kawhi laugh took me out 😂😂😂 4:46
I also don’t think free throws are the best way to give a team the win.
The Lakers have to thank the referees, because without the referees, they would be losing a lot
Just like the Lakers did in the 2 games after the Warriors a little while ago. And they lost by a lot. I think, since it was so obvious against the Warriors, and the whole nation got to see it, TPTB were afraid that people would be watching for it. Now, they just hope you forget.
They had 22 free throws to the Nuggets 7 last night and still lost by 8 on Kobe's statue night 😂

Second of all, Shaq was the #1 on that time BY FAR and I am not even sure Kobe was #2
If money is involved, you can't trust it.
I remember watching the kings/Lakers. I was a kings fan and I was yelling that it was rigged. It was wild years later to find out it was true.
As a Spurs fan we also got screwed.
Goes back to Michael Jordan, The league’s cash cow
Legalized sports gambling that's promoted by the league is the ruin of the NBA.

Great video, very interesting
2002 Lakers v Kings. DONE.
Either its rigged...or the refs are getting dumber by the season.
Sounds right. Gotta save the league. I would of saved my job to.

WITHOUT an ioata of a doubt, way before, during the GSW vs Cavs finals!!! TOO OBVIOUS!
‘And 1’s’ are what is used to control point spread.. it’s obvious if you watch the game closely.. 🏀

Ive despised the commisioner and now they slobber all over themselves to get Chinese money and say nothing about human rights.

It sucks for all of us that have a team that we truly have passion for.
I can prove that whatever criminal organization (Mob, Mafia or a group acting like philanthropists yet control the decision makers is these leagues.
So here's my proof:
It's impossible even with the most advanced super algorithm to get every line of every game in every sport almost dead on.
So yeah ... Sports are rigged when whoever needs that one to end a certain wait says to do so.
the way they treated Allan Iverson is enough evidence of BS for any average NBA enjoyer...
