I find it hilarious that a good number of the fights in this add-on happen because no one trusts Shang Tsung to the point where it's kill on sight.
Cary Tagawa is such an underrated actor. He literally does an amazing job in almost every role he has.

well i mean. fujin knew only shang tsung could stand against kronika with the crown intact. So he wasn't gonna do much, but the other 2...yeah

OR couldn't Shang Tsung just put on the crown right after getting it instead of giving advices to Fujin and talking about what he's going to do next. But yes, i agree with the opinion "it's for the plot".
Great video quality. It's satisfying to see Shang Tsung win, his story bears similarities to Sima Yi's of the Three Kingdoms Period.
yes, shang tsung's victory is very interesting to see and this is not something that can be expected. i mean, when you watch an action-movie, you always know that the main hero always wins in the end, despite all difficulties he faces in the way to the final. but here we can see another way and somehow it's evenmore satisfying
p.s. when i watched the story, i wished the victory for shao kahn :)

Im glad to see it End it with Fire God Lui Kang instead of Shang Stung. Let the Timeline finally Flow Forward. Mk12 should begin with Kung Lao, trained by Lui Kang, in these Modern day times. Still in Ageless youth, Kung Lao has won every Mortal Kombat Tournament thus far.
Shang Shus voice here is much better than in MK9

Having watched this, I’m glad I made the right decision in it paying for this crap (despite MK11 being a great game on its own).
Netherealm’s pricing strategy for all of this dlc content is criminal.
I wouldn’t give you a cent for this package; a few pre-rendered cutscenes and some random arcade matches to fill the holes, with a few skins on top.

When I saw Shang Tsung's Aftermath ending (as well as Liu Kang's), I knew Liu Kang was going to be the canonical ending that would lead to MK1. But I also wanted to see a "What if Shang Tsung won?" kind of game. And with Raiden and Fujin not only announcing to Shang that Earth, Outworld, and the Netherrealm have been conquered...but also announcing that Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (that have hardly been explored since Deception), I thought the perfect idea: a Mortal Kombat-themed Dynasty Warriors game!
The game would feature Tecmo Koei/Omega Force-developed characters (similiar to the OG Hyrule Warriors and OG Fire Emblem Warriors) that originated from Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (plus a couple klassics like Dairou, Darrius, Havik, and Hotaru). The story would begin with a war between Chaosrealm (the protagonists)and Orderrealm being in kombat with each other, when suddenly...Shang Tsung and the Elder Gods launching their invasion, so the Chaosrealmers would have to travel through Earth, Netherrealm, Outworld, and (the unmentioned) Edenia to team up with and/or fight against the klassic Kombatants we know and love/hate.
Unfortunately, with MK1 revealing that BOTH Aftermath endings are canon to MK1, this can no longer apply. And I felt like this was the biggest wasted opportunity in Mortal Kombat history. (And before you say that Mortal Kombat is too gory for Japan...so is Berserk and Chainsaw Man!)

At first, I KNEW Liu Kang’s ending would be the canon ending that led to MK1 (the next game), while I felt/hoped Shang Tsung’s ending would lead to a non-canon MK-themed Dynasty Warriors game.
(SPOILER ALERT) But when I played MK1, I became shocked when I found out that BOTH endings are canon! The final battle in Aftermath created a multitude of universes where EVERYONE (including Fire God Liu Kang and Shang Tsung) became a Titan and created their own universe.

You know if shao kahn and sindel had their entire army just like thet had in mk9 they could show raiden how useless the elder gods truly are. But if raiden had fujin, fire god liu kang and the great kung lao from fire god liu kang dimension they could easily slaughter shinnok cetrion and kronika by themselves as well
there is only one ending, the shang tsung one, this is his game the rest are just side characters
