It really is. You found recordings...and you get no reference to it at all. Seems to me that this game really wanted for writers. There's so many things that just lack polish which solid writing would prevent. ^sigh Still enjoying Malcomb's story
It looks like there were individual good writers working on various bits of the story but there were no narrative director who'd oversee overall cohesiveness and completeness of the plot

The Moonchild is Estelle Vincent's ship. The woman you paid 9k to on Neon to disappear, whose privacy you protected by telling Bayu that it was your virus that messed up the company running the conduction grid. Well... RIP.
Idk why games can code in to force me to lower my gun when I point at someone the game doesn't want me to kill, but can't code friendly NPC's to not point their guns at me.
It drove me bonkers how the NPCs could have theirs drawn in convo, but if I talk to them with mine out it gets put away and I have to manually draw it. Why they chose to code that in is beyond me...
I am klutz enough to have learned that whenever Andreja says "Good one!" that means you just shot her. Super sarcastic, innit?
That kind of thing happens when your companion shows up where she/he wasn't supposed to be and you think you were shooting a bad guy, or your companion gets caught in the AOE of your explosive.
Damn the Hopper has way more fire power than I had on this one

It’s hard to do these types of missions when you get attached to people, i hoped there would be another way to finish this mission without killing everyone 💔
You can use non-lethal weapons to finish this mission. SysDef soldiers will not attack NPCs who are already down.
Wow, that's a really anticlimactic end. The whole time your gearing up SysDef for this big attack on the fleet, but it ends in a few small ship battles and then they send you in ALONE to deal with the pirates in the station? There's probably dozens of SysDef marines they could've sent in with you and they send you alone...
Yeah, protagonist logic :)
Then where would you get the XP for level-ups?
@@GophersVids I do understand it to a point, in that BGS games tend to have a reduced scale of things like this due to engine limitations. Like in skyrim the great cities are more like small villages, and the civil war battles are tiny skirmishes between squads rather than battalions. It still sucks to see what was likely a very lofty goal presented in such a lackluster way.
Ironically, when going the CF route, you end up fighting between 60-100 Marines on the flag ship and there's a huge focus on receiving help, from the different Pirate Captains you "may" have put in a good word for.
If there was meant to be a "cannon" ending for these missions, it seemed geared towards The Fleet to be the victors.
Similar to the Nuka World DLC ((FO4) The "Good Guy" ending is/was an after thought. But the most effort was put into the Raider Ending.

Yeah, it’s a shame - all they really needed was a few areas you can’t access - or empty areas filled with generic pirates that get closed off for the last battle - but you get to overlook at them from parts of your battle - through windows or from high balconys - where you see marines fighting pirates.
Did you do the Ryujin quest line in this universe?
