This mission was so interesting to go through. The lore was pretty rad
Wasn't thrilled with the "dilemma" in the mission. Both the Emissary and the Hunter are right, so it feels like being asked which is better: authoritarianism or anarchy? So yeah, picked the third "F*** you both" option.
Fascinating episode, so weird to hear the voice of Dr Watsit after just rescuing Nick Valentine (again) in my latest playthrough of FO4. I do love that voice.
I would love to see a playthrough of FO4 incidentally played on survival level. In my current game Im using fast travel minimally and have discovered places I don’t recall ever seeing before, houses and shops destroyed but still with interior cells and multiple encounter sites. However, that could be content from the recent Update I guess.
My assumption is the artifacts kind of behaving like Dragon Balls. Once they’re used to cross anyone to other universe, they got scattered again, waiting to be found by other epic douchebags or humans.
I wonder if, in future expansions, we learn that the "loss of gravity" the grav drives caused could be reversed. Allowing us to "jumpstart" Earth's magnetosphere again, or even create one on different planets. It would be a "cooperative effort" by the UC and FC, where you help them achieve the goal, not you doing it entirely by yourself.
I'm just desperately hoping for a "planet crafter" or "galaxy-stage" Spore style expansion in SF, where you work towards turning a barren planet into one with an atmosphere and thriving plant/animal life.
Nevermind the scientific impossibilities at play there, there are more egregious issues in SF currently.
If only you could bottle that Quantum Essence. You'd make a fortune on it. You could even add some fizzy water to it and turn it into a soda.. for example.
If only I could think of a name for it? 🤔

Don't worry I got your point. But it's not gonna stop me from cracking a few snarks here and there. Kind of my thing. lol
So. Victor is dead. Blood, but no visible weapon. Thought maybe suicide from guilt, but no. Murdered. By whom? Won't know. Not Starborn because he/they would have taken the artifact then, not come back for it as our hero is finding it. Why didn't the grave drive thing destroy all the other planets where it is used now? Must have fixed the problem too late for Earth.
One of the best parts of this game.
Wait, hold up... If you gain quantum essences from the starborn you kill...
There's "The Emissary", and "The Hunter", but all of the random mooks that you shoot are called "Starborn Traveller" and not affiliated with either it seems.
What if these are all copies of another person from multiple universes and that person calls themselves "The Traveller"?
My guess is these are the Starborn versions of You.

I haven't started watching Gopher's Starfield yet - playing it myself now and don't want spoilers. But I just saw this is at ep 141 now, any idea how many still to go, Gopher?
This one will come to an end in about 3 weeks. I had a little footage from my NG++ so I can 'review' it, but I've not edited it into anything uploadable yet.
Even if you don't watch a series Gopher's first episode is usually worth a watch for the character creation.
I find them funny anyway, YMMV.

@@johnhansen4794 I've been watching a number of series, my favourite character is Leonard (Skyrim). I think Gopher said he'd do another special or short series with this character this year, I can't wait! Gopher's at his best with evil and sarcastic charas, IMO.

Who gets the artifacts and everything that goes with it. The third option was telling you that the Hunter or the Emissary should not be deciding anymore. You will now start taking control, not the Hunter or the Emissary You chose the Emissary because you did not figure out what the third option really meant. You chose the Emissary because you failed to understand the significance of the third option and how important it is.
I would have understood and accepted if you did not want to take responsibility, and that it was why you chose the Emissary, but that was not the case. You were just confused.

I mean first of all, what significance did I miss, and where was this revealed? And secondly, why would missing that be the reason I chose the emissary? I mean I felt I chose the Emissary because even if the hunter was right about her, she kind of had a good reason for it, and that reason was stood right next to her. But if you feel i made the decision due to something else that I am unaware of, I am curious to know the details.
On the other hand, the third option was telling you that you and you alone are bestowed the divine gift of ushering mankind into a new existence as part of a multiverse. That doesn’t make you any better than Victor. What will you sacrifice to bring about this new age?
The Hunter’s point is that if you side with him you can perpetuate your quest for eternity because you’re the only one other than other Starborn who will know. So far you’ve lied, stole, and murdered your way to the artifacts and powers you have. Are you /really/ thinking about the good of mankind when you’re mowing down a room full of pirates - or a field of creatures - who are just living their lives? Can you own up to the idea that part of you does?
The Emissary’s point is who are /you/ to make that decision, same as yours to them. Humanity at this time is not quite a generation out of their third galactic war and /you/ are going to unleash that beast on a multiverse because to each their own?
If you’re making your decision based on your emotions, then third choice would be easiest. Nobody tells you what to do. Who is the Emissary to decide. The Hunter pisses you off. Simple.
If you really are taking humanity into account, it’s not such a snap decision.

At the time you were playing the game, it was clear to me, that you did not understand what the game meant by the third option and therefore did not understand the significance. That is why I mentioned the significance of the third option. I am going by how long it took you to choose. They were not difficult choices. Hunter, Emissary or you. At the time you were playing the game, you did not understand that the third option meant you. No, Hunter. No Emissary. You decide what happens.
"...where was this revealed?" Do you still not understand? It is revealed in the third option. The third options is telling you that you will now decide what happens to the artifacts and what happens to them.
