i really liked the first temple. reminds of when my char was an wide eyed explorer instead of the tragic figure they became, who mostly sits outside trade auth for hours waiting to sell them old marker pens, tableware and cheap tin trays
I was obsessively looting all foam cups. They're worth so much for their weight! But god they are everywhere, and it was such a waste of time.

Get the source of the anonymity, and he is in it but keeps going outside. 🙄
The game continues after you find the source of theat anomoly. There is actually a lot more to do in this one quest alone, let alone the rest of the game.

haha I went through exactly the same thing at this temple. And all over the top of it, and everything. Yeah video game logic is always go into the light or head towards the light. But yeah, there could have been some clue somewhere about it. Thanks Todd.
They really should change the auto generated structures to be far away from the anomalies, it could be explained like the animals staying away from the cave
No there should be no human structures in the procedural generated area of the temples. Gophers reaction to a human structure within eye sight of the temple was mine. Then when it kept happening and I kept doing the same chase the light mini "game" I quickly began to hate the main quest.

Honestly, it never occurred to me to leave the Temple when the Ancestor Moths come out and you need to collect them. It was fun to watch a unique experience of it.
I really enjoyed my first temple experience, because figuring out to fly into the thingys was a fun experience and felt like discovery. But it uh didn't take me this long.
Last night I got my powers all to max level and today I laughed like a child for like 10 minutes straight watching this. Thank you so much Gopher
Honest question: when you hit the sparkles (before they timed out) and got the audible “Whooom!”, did you not notice the increasing intensity of the sounds and the Rings, encouraging you to continue? Everybody reacts to gameplay mechanics differently-I’m curious how that got you.
Ah yes, one of the most tedious 'puzzles' ever devised. Why couldn't we just get a futuristic word wall, instead of whatever this thing is supposed to be? Although I am surprised that Gopher was unable to decipher the puzzle. I thought it was obvious.
Surprised somebody hasn't made the mod that turns the temple notes into close encounters yet...
Nice, new episode! I finished the previous one during breakfast and then hit refresh as I sit down for lunch. It's always nice to see new ones posted. They can't come fast enough. Keep up the great work Gopher, I'm loving these.
Andreja became my favorite companion. There is a raw honesty (without judging) and her captivating accent does not hurt!
Me too. She's the only one that didn't drive me batshit after a while.
She easily became my favorite when I realized her closed off exterior hid a caring and compassionate interior. She's not as much of a goody two shoes like the others. She's far less likely to get caught when sneaking like other companions. She wakes you up saying "we have worlds to conquer" or more spicy lines if you're together. And if you marry her she gives you a very special present that made her even more of a badass in my eyes. Her appearance and voice are an obvious bonus.
Her outfit's design always intrigued me, I really would like to see more of House Vaa'run as they've got an interesting style.
@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya I gave her a Free Star Ranger Uniform. The cool looking one. She looked even more "cool" and tough. She felt like a real person to get to know

What gets me is they just need more dialogue and better triggers. If u ever used Inigo in Skyrim that's what they should have done at least with each of the four companions. One guy did Inigo for free and they spent millions making this game. It should have been a priority.

I was a bit higher level when I finally figured out ship building. I upgraded the Frontier to a wedge shaped ship with a science lab and workroom space on either side of the hab units. I had access to some Vanguard parts and I had an A class ship with 1700 cargo, 100 mobility, and 150 speed. I think I was in my late 20 in level. Upgrading the engines is the key to a fast ship that carries cargo.
The anomaly towers remind me of the Soul Cairn.

So from a philosophical point, if you're looting, you've already murdered everyone and you find a potato on the floor, in the bathroom, in front of the toilet, do you pick it up?
That was painful. I don't know why but my first temple I just started chasing the lights and thought this can't be doing anything and then, bingo! Well that was easy. After I took forever to find the damn thing 😂😂😂
Ya, honestly... it's a pretty classic and common video game mechanic in adventure and platformer style games, collect the shiny things and with each one give a cue. Was pretty obvious to me and went straight for them as I am pretty used to video game cues like that, many of them in Nintendo games. But I suppose those who may not have played many games that had such cues may not instantly understand.
@@tmb-gaming2604 TBF Gopher is also trying to react like his character would. I mean in a game, yeah let's chase the pretty lights but if it were real maybe we wouldn't be so quick to dive into those spinning lights OR that big spinning circle 🤣🤣🤣

... If it was real life, you would know the entrance/exit on the other side would take you outside as well given the structure is ... round. That's just me being a smart as*.
In all seriousness, ya... you would probably avoid going through those lights in real life and more likely head back to Constellation and tell the others what's their and what you experienced. Then all members head there and see if you can gleam or scan anything from those lights.
And maybe discuss whether someone should try touching it and whether or not it will kill you on doing so. It would likely turn into a "Who's brave enough" challenge. And we all know Barrett would be the first person to do it without telling anyone. In fact, he would probably say... "Oh I already touched it".

Didn't I do that in this very video? I could have sworn I tried to 'collect' one of the lights in this video. Did I cut it out or something? I mean, I remember trying that and then thinking I was being daft and then figured I was just getting 'distracted' and the comment section would be filled with people screaming at me that it was obvious I had to keep going etc. but I could have sworn I actually went for one of the lights first.
Gopher:(sells TWO ships with good size cargo space) and then says " I only have a small cargo" 4:27 😂 okay next time you go out and pirate a couple of ships, it would be a good suggestion just to hold on to them until you get your commerce skill up. Then at least you can make good creds... Because that last ship was worth 75000 in value and made a fraction. You have the ability to have up to 10 ships at a time.
I like Andreja's comments on moons without atmospheres, how easy it would be to die...let's have fun! 🤣 With other characters I've tried to make streamlined ships with cargo and crew capacity, this time ended up with a prophacey...huge! I removed as many of the inner structure pieces and added habs in their place. Of course the builder turned it into a nightmare maze. After several tries over many many hours it is less mazey....but HUGE! I actually get lost in my ship! But the crew has plenty of equipment and places to hang out.
39:05 that's an Armillary Sphere... It doesn't really have a very good description of what is online but it basically says it's some kind of map of the universe.
I tried to say in a previous episode you can always switch between ships so if you're going on a cargo Haul then you switch to your cargo ship and then if you're just cruising around you can use your Constellation ship. You can have up to 10 shipps so you got after 10 different ways you can cruise around the galaxy. But in order to get all that money you got to get a class b ship now, so you can make the money to get what you really want and need.
Okay so I guess this thing whatever it is is called "The Armillary" which it says that it's an ancient alien device but doesn't really give a specific description or definition. And I guess it's a map of some sort. So you were right when you said that it was a map in the last episode.

You've perfectly captured the WTF experience of that first time through a temple. So glad I got to do it spoiler-free (though a *teensy* pointer for what to do with the twinkly lights might have been useful, Todd ;) )
Definitely to me a little while to figure out what I was meant to do but that was also some OK the fun, the just blind wonder and I will try this appoah and hope it doesn't kill me lol 😂

I think he is currently using the Deepseeker spacesuit with a Va'ruun Space Helmet. Just a guess though. 🤔

this should have just been self-explained logic of following lights and watching rings. if the game told you how to do a puzzle then it would ruin the point of figuring out the puzzle yourself
it was changing rings and making them spin faster and lighting them up and making loud sounds can rewatch and see for yourself and not spoiling anything just telling you what was happening since you seem not to understand what pizzle very well. @@GophersVids
