Wagon looks awesome.
Thanks, Adam!
You have more patience messing with that stuff than I would have. That looks like quite a car show
Yeah, it seems I do all the stuff no one else wants to do.
Tony, you are truly blessed person, you have your parents/friends, worked hard to have a nice car collection, and even when things go wrong, you still can make an interesting video that makes everybody wish that they were there, where you are right now, thanks for letting us see what you are seeing through Your eyes in the video, Greenfield Village looks incredible, with everyone there, and all the cars
Thanks, Dave! Greenfield Village (The Henry Ford), in general, is my Disneyland. We think the truck will be fine. Aaron is a Godsend! We couldn't have done it without him.
@@tonyscarcare5657 if Aaron wants a tractor, I would be glad to send him one? I really appreciate what he did for you.👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much, Dave! We are definitely gonna do something for him. He wouldn't take anything. He said to just pay it forward.
Hello Mr. Tony - We are so glad we saw the car in person at the Motor Muster and car looks even greater in person. The home is super cool too with a very practical layout. We hope you make it home ok! Roseann & Dan
Thank you, D & R!!!
Seeing that dark green interior brings back memories of our family’s 1977 Granada Ghia sedan.
It was Dark Jade Green Metallic and the interior was two tone green.
Leather seating surfaces and door panel inserts were a very light almost silver-green.
Very posh looking!
The Granada had every option except moonroof, four wheel disc brakes and remote trunk release.
Thank you! My plan is to eventually get the interior changed over to the option two-tone green. You can see it in my other videos like this one here. 👇ua-cam.com/video/mEKAIlyq2Dw/v-deo.htmlsi=Ae2k3pf4vclQDmBQ
Impressive that even has the original spare from the factory. WOW !
I didn't even pay any attention to that. Lol. Thank you for noticing.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Clean up that spare tire and wheel so it looks like new!
Lol. Well, that certainly isn't at the top of the list for this car.
Another Dearborn trip in the books!! Glad we could be part of it.
Old Car Festival is next!
And we are thankful for Aaron and Charlie!!
Shout out to Aaron for helping Tony with his truck issues during the trip. I spent most of my childhood in the back of that Jade Green station wagon on countless roadtrips across the country. Our 1978 Country Squire wagon did not have the 3rd seat so my father would always stow the luggage in the deep well compartment and we would lay on the carpet in the way back. We'd sleep there, play games and wave at other cars. This wagon keeps bringing back so many memories for me it's incredible. As far as the event goes, i love the way Tony showcased the car with the Mardi Report in the front windshield and all the other dealer brochures in the back. Presentation is important and the car looked amazing. Alot of work but well worth it.
Thank you very much. I gotta say, I'm completely worn out. What a couple of days it has been!
Lookin' GREAT.
Factory interior parts never matched perfectly anyway.
Rode in the back of a '67 Country Sedan as a kid. Those were the "Premium seats" as far as us kids were concerned...👍🏁
Yes, sir! Thank you very much!
Tony, the end result was your wagon looked great!! My nephew's son saw the accessory table and now he wants my nephew to find a Ford station wagon.
Sorry you had rear end trouble in the truck.
I didn't get to see you, but did get to talk to your parents. I talked to your father quite a while. What nice parents you have.
Jim E
Thank you so much! They told me they talked to so many people, and everyone was so nice. They said it was so much fun. I hate so bad that I missed it. I was there today. It was a great show. I didn't get to do much filming, though. 😥
I admire your consistency in doing things right. A very impressive trait. Sucks about the truck and glad it got you there
Thank you! I think we have the truck lined out. We'll find out soon enough, I reckon.
I'm glad you got the wagon's cargo area back together and got to the show, even if there was a bit of a mechanical issue. I'm hopeful you can post a video of the show, and talk to some folks about your Country Squire.
Thanks! I only had one day at the show, so I didn't get much footage. I'm told the wagon got all kinds of attention, though. And it did the little time I got to spend with it.
Excellent Tony I’m jealous I wish I was there with ya with a Ford or Mercury or Lincoln any way you guys be safe have a good time hope the Squire gets some good Numbers scores
The car didn't win anything, but there's soooo much competition. Thank you, though!
Nice, my parents owned a 1976 ford ltd like that. Only yellow with a brown interior. Have fun in it. We did.
Thank you! That would have been one of my color choices if I hadn't been able to find the Light Jade Green one.
Yellow was a popular exterior color against the woodgrain of those years.
Yellow is great.
@@tonyscarcare5657 the real funny part is,with the yellow there was a Cox Camper that was a matching yellow. Neither exist today but there are pictures of them together. Which if found, a cox is pretty valuable. Well as valuable as a camper can be.
IIRC the 1968 Country Squire we had had bigger rear jump seats; it looks like the fuel tank is between the jump seats and the rear seat on this wagon. The 1968 we had had the fuel tank between the frame and the rear fender on the driver's side and it stood upright. That was when the wagons were a separate series. GREAT VIDEO!
Yes, that is correct. Thank you!
Tony, I may be way out of line but I believe history will judge these as some of the greatest 1977 Ford LTD Country Squire restoration/upgrade videos that UA-cam has ever seen. 😁
I sure hope so, buddy, I sure hope so!
I agree with this comment 💯
@@tonyscarcare5657 😉
The wagon looks great Tony. Your color match really is on point. I enjoyed the adventure anyway! Until next time.
Thank you, Mike! Cross your fingers that the truck gets home okay. We think it's gonna be okay. That was so weird!
That was a quality upholstery and dye job. Only cars out there to my knowledge that dwell on absolutely perfect color matching interior and exterior parts are over priced ultra high end European cars. The car to me can pass for low miles no miles. Enjoy the trip Enjoy the show. I would love to be in Detroit for the show too, but maybe next year. Absolutely gorgeous car.
Thanks, man! It definitely got a lot of attention, and the interior looks incredible. No one ever questioned it and totally freaked out on the game table.
Tony, those seats look great. I don’t think anybody is going to recognize any difference.
Thank you! No one even questioned the interior. I knew they wouldn't.
I LOVE the LTD Landau bars! They are so sweet!
Well, I'm sorry, but they get WAY more hate than they do love.
The only reason anyone would question those panels is because they look to good! Please don't let anyone load stuff in the back of the wagon after all your hard work. How did you determine that the rear end of the truck was "getting hot"? Looks like a real fun trip. Went to a local car show today and did see a beautiful 77 Grand Marquis four door.
Thank you! The rear end was shuttering around corners, and when we got out, we smelled it. It slung gear lube all inside the left rear wheel and tire.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Oh that's right, forgot the seal failed...
Very nice! ...the rear end problem is a puzzler. No discloration or metal shavings or... anything, really.
Yeah, we think it just got low enough with the seal leaking that it simply got too hot. We believe that with the new seal and all new fluid, we will be fine now. Cross your fingers! Thank you!
I bet there's a lot of jealous kids at that car show who got there in a minivan with a gray interior and no checker board.
Lmao! 🤣 I bet you're right!
Great comment 👍
This video had a little bit of everything! Props for all the multi tasking and interesting/ entertaining content.
Thank you! It was a very stressful two days!
Nice job Tony!
Thank you, Sir!
@@tonyscarcare5657 you're welcome
Hi Tony, your Country Squire turned out to bee very nice. It is just a pity you did not have time to walk around and look at the other cars around Dearborn.
And as usual i do like your video.
Thank you. I got to see some cars the next day.
That diff got hot because you were pulling a 5000lb car and 1800lb? trailer. Wagon looking nice. Hope you get to spend some time talking to people about it.
I did get some time today, and mom and dad said it got a ton of attention yesterday. We believe the diff lost enough fluid from the seal leaking that it simply overheated. We believe and hope it's gonna be fine now. 🙏
That truck has pulled a very heavy fithwheel camper thousands of miles and never had an issue until now.
The wagon is looking great Tony. Nice Air BnB too. Enjoy the show! 👍
Thank you, Mark!
The inside of the wagon looks great! I didn't know you could get seats dyed a different color. I hope you guys get the truck fixed so you can drive it back.
On a separate topic, have you ever though about buying a Ford Elite or a Ford LTD II? I don't know if they are good cars, but they look cool.
Thank you. I liked those cars when I was younger, but I don't have any desire to own one now.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Ha Ha...no love for the Elite-Adam hates them too!
cool
😎✌️🤙🤘
I want to come to one of these car shows but I didn't get enough warning this year. Do they have this every Father's Day?
Yes, it's every Father's Day weekend.
Do you worry about hidden cameras in AirBnB? I am.
Not really.
Use a small paint bush
On what?
@@tonyscarcare5657 in the tight spots instead of the tooth brush and when detailing
Oh
That rear end has way too much play in it. That's a real problem for that
That truck pulled that car home 500 miles perfectly with absolutely no problems on a 100⁰ day, and the rear axle never got above 179⁰ with an emphared thermometer. There is nothing wrong with it!
