I'm happy you've decided to cut out useless comments. This channel is rich of lore about classic cars, and it's a pleasure watching a professional doing his job. The only backdraw were the keyboard lions' rants about basically nothing. If they are gone, well... best channel ever. And my best wishes to your parents, I hope you can find another of these amazing cars very soon. Thank you for the happy hours you give us.
The Lincoln has tons of great parts as a donor for another Lincoln Town Car, the frame is toast not to mention the structure of the roof, you would be cutting and welding new pieces in to even make it structurally safe and sound. It would be better off being stripped down and the parts sold, it's a shame what happened to the Lincoln but it saved your parents lives and that's the main thing.
Mr. Tony - another great video and we believe you are right. While that car looks like you could bring it back to life (due to how well it is built and looks from a distance) there is just way too much to repair. That car will live as needed parts in other Lincolns - maybe even in the next one you purchase. BTW, we love the story from the other video about how you bought that first for yourself and then gave to your dad. What a great caring son. God Bless Roseann & Dan
First time viewer here. I subbed. I did watch the entire video and I agree. The car is toast. Plenty of good parts to be had but it is not even close to cost effective to try to repair it. Thank God the parents crawled out of it to shop another day for a replacement car.
Stevie Wonder could tell that car is totaled lol just like you said the roof. When i saw it I said oh yeah it's totaled. No way that can be fixed and once the frame is tweaked it's over. Very sad to see it because you take such amazing care of your cars and have beautiful cars & to have one totaled so quickly. It's very sad. It will be a new beginning with the new Lincoln new memories. Hope your parents are doing well and my thoughts and prayers are still with you guys 🙏
Even if the car was repaired and I would not repair it I would not want it. The force of a wreck like that engine seals and everything else you cannot see will have issues as well. Bent frame why would anyone want to repair it. Parts maybe would be an option but no way a repair I agree with you 100%.
Sorry it happened. I'm glad your parents are OK. They are not replaceable. I had a very similar situation with my 1984 Oldsmobile 98 2dr. The car was originally purchased new by my dad. He handed down to me. So it had a lot of sentimental value. Long story short the car was involved in a very bad accident like your car. I needed a donor car to fix mine. At the end of the day it was a lot of time and money. Now I was able to get my on the road, however if I had it all to do it all again. I'd let the car go. Best of luck. Your doing the right thing
Considering the horrible impact, it actually held up pretty well since it's metal and body-on-frame. I used to have a Crown Victoria LX of that same year (before it was stolen by my father). They're strong. But I'm really sorry for your loss of this classic Panther but I'm glad you found another that looks just like it in good condition. They're very hard to find!
Hi, how are you? My name is Tim. I’m from New Jersey and I was commenting on your last video after the accident. Your parents experienced with this car and first I’d like to say I am very happy that they survived and at the same time just worried for them and for you as well , you mentioning how the car still runs and I respect and I’ll definitely take your word it’s totaled, but what it would make is a very good parts car. I loved how you were calling out some trolls in the comments, but I just want you to know in the future when I continue to watch your videos all try to be careful and pay closer attention before making comments and I’ll always respect you, sir. Thank you for posting this video on your 1989 Lincoln town car my dream is to own 11 day if I can find one that’s in pretty decent shape because they are really hard to come by these days
I am so glad your parents will get another vehicle. The negative comments were uncalled for. That person who told you the car could be repaired, needs to have their head examined. In 1998, I had a 1989 Ford Escort with no A/C. It was my first new car out of college. I was at work when a thunderstorm came through. The winds were blowing hard enough to take a tree out of the ground in the office parking lot and land on my car and two others. All three cars were totaled. Mine was one of them. I loved that car for 9 years, but it was not worth repairing. The insurance company gave me $3,300 for the car because I kept it in good condition! I was shocked because I thought the car was worth less than that. With your parents insurance claim, make sure you speak to the claims supervisor if the claims adjuster is unable to answer questions. Also, if you are able to, hire an attornery to go after the kid who hit your parents. The kid is 100% liable for what he did and he should not get away it. I worked for an insurance broker for almost 25 years and retired in 2020. I heard plenty of horror stories from my co workers who helped insureds with auto claims. Best of luck with getting your parents their new car and sending postive vibes too. Keep us posted!
Thanks Tony good video, I play your commercials to help you out. I know you will end up with a nice car for your parents. I'm still praying for you all....
I know im new to your channel i actually agree with you its totally wrecked its like it just turned into a one time shock absorber compressed once never to be uncompressed honestly there are things you can salvage but its not worth fixing i love the content you are putting out keep up the good work
I saw the original video on this car at the accident scene and a few days later I saw the video of the other car you were talking about. I agree with you fixing this car would be nothing but headaches in the future. It’s a good parts car only. Best of luck on your search. Btw I have blocked a lot of people on UA-cam that make nasty comments to me.
Tony I’m so happy the car stood up and protected your parents so they could walk away from the accident . When I was a kid growing up we had 3 white town cars . A 1983 town car continental then a 1985 town car then a 1989 town car. They each came brand new. All 3 had the wire rims and all had moonroof, but the 89 also had trailer tow pkg so it always rode at the right height . It had full dual exhaust and the JBL CD player . Loved growing up with these cars and I learned how to drive on the 85. Nice to see them on your channel. Ignor the creepers
Can't wait to see what you and your parents are going to look at! The first video once I saw that Lincoln upside down in the ditch I said that is totaled. I just can't get over how well your dad is after that accident as you said like nothing ever happened. Hope your adventures go well. By the way unless someone else commented about the interior it was me.
Thanks for the update Tony. Just when I’m getting over the car I get sick seeing what happened. Definitely a beautiful parts car. Can’t wait to see what mom&dad pick up. I’ll be waiting for the next video ❤
Can't imagine how anyone would think that poor thing is repairable, regardless of whether or not they skipped over the whole video. You just need to look at it once to know, the old girl is done for. How the heck could you ever replace the roof.. It's like you say, most of that car has been "tweaked", nothing will ever fit right. Just sourcing all the needed parts would be a full time job. All that being said, I'm sure that the advice was well meaning and an attempt to cheer you and your parents up. Good luck with the quest for another Town Car, hoping your trip will be successful, and this one's replacement will be featured in your next video. You come from good stock for sure, it is amazing your parents were able to squirm out of the car!
@@tonyscarcare5657 Sounds like you have found a suitable replacement, no one knows these cars like you do. Can't replace your parents for sure, would love to hang out with them!
thats a real shame for your parents lincoln..but it kept them safe...i hope they get another real nice one,,,but the car will make a hell of a parts car.., cant wait to see what you bring home
if the car was 2-3 years old with this same damage, it would have been fixed, remember these were very $$$$$ cars back in the day...$71,000 in todays money...
The upper and lower cowl are bent along with the frame. There is no way short of cutting off the entire front of the car and grafting on another half car. It should never be fixed regardless of value. It would take tens of thousands to do a repair. The structure is too far compromised. Even a new Rolls-Royce would be deemed unrepairable.
Tony.. I missed mine I had one same color wit blue interior.whenbi moved to this day I don't know what my mom's brother did wit it. I'm glade your parents are safe. Those are great car Ford produce. I'm not negative towards you. I just wish for the better.
I get a negative aspect of myself everyday. So I can imagine. Imagine this in person everyday. I'm bout as humble as can be but it's life of negative humans
I think it is easy to give advice from their armchair. Given the work you do on Ford, Lincolns and Mercurys etc, I think you would be in a good position to determine if it was repairable or not. It clearly is a parts car. Congratulations on 10,000 Subscribers too my friend 👍
Thank you for the update. That blue Town Car did not have digital gauges either. I noticed that too as well. I said to myself that is odd a signature series did not have digital gauges. You look at the same things and details I looking for as well. That is why I have passed on a few Ninety-Eights too and still looking. . I look forward to your new Lincoln Town Car. As I said in the last video do not let people bother you owning a Lincoln Town Car. Do not let keyboard warriors upset you. You have a safe trip picking up your next car.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Thank you for sharing. You know your Lincolns. I liked how you knew immediately the cost of the option. I admit I thought digital gauges were standard on Signature Series. I am the same way with Oldsmobiles and other GM brands. I recall riding in a early 80's Mark VI and several Town Cars from the era you like. They all had digital gauges. Were the digital gauges plug and play or the wiring different? I know on the Oldsmobile Ninety Eight it was different. I know on the Toronado it was plug and play as I own a 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado. On the Ninety-Eight for 1995-1996, the options were grouped as Series I and Series II. The Series II I am currently seeking had standard digital gauges. My current Ninety Eight is Series II. My first Ninety Eight was Series I. I know that I saw digital gauges on a lot of 1990's Lincoln Town Cars. I was not a fan of the headlight design from 1990-2002. I did like the 2003-2011 models. The only thing I did not like was the instrumentation cluster with analog and digital gauges. I did notice too the Mercury Grand Marquis really got close in terms of features and options to the later Town Cars and sharing parts.
I like this video, will be looking for an older vehicle in near future for a second car. Showing what damage is on your father's car will help me while inspecting a car, or truck for body damage or has been repaired in a body shop. IE door and fender alinement certain area in the engine bay like the radiator support. Your father's car will make a great parts car. Thanks for sharing.
Wow that's amazing people were saying that needed to be pieced back together,, if this was 1990 the car would have been totaled then.... Lots of good parts though.. I do know the video when you were running up to check on your folks I didn't watch passed that moment.. I immediately put myself in your shoes and it was too much... Damn near had me crying..
What a bummer. I'm glad your folks are ok. The moonroof must've been a rare option. With all the body and frame damage I agree that this one is done. When I saw your first video I didn't see the frame damage. If it was just the fender and suspension, without the roof damage it prolly would've been fixable.
Love them old lincolns. Sorry your mom and pops had to go through that and the car as well. I'm sure yall are bummed about the whole ordeal. Take care brother.
I would strip all good parts, complete interior and everything down to the last bolt, and keep whatever parts you need, and sell the rest, and then get rid of the body. I would keep all emission parts, air pump, diverter valves, vacuum solenoids plastic colored vacuum lines, instrument cluster, air conditioning actuators, and a ton of other parts. This is just my humble opinion. Great to know the old folks are doing great.!
Buy another one just like it keep the parts off the wrecked one simple it's not like it's a extremely rare car you could find another one no problem great job brother keep on keeping on
@@edwarddavis966 a lot of those parts are getting hard to get, and you have one like it.! Like I said, if it was me, I would pull as many parts as I can.! That interior looks to be in mint condition. Blessings to you, and I'm so glad the old folks are doing great.!!🙏 we can always replace the lincoln, but we sure can't replace them.!
That's sad, it was a beautiful car, it'll make a wonderful parts car. Glad your parents weren't hurt badly, I have no idea why anyone would think that isn't totaled. That white interior is gorgeous.
No argument here with the use of the situation. No one was seriously hurt. The subject matter specifically pertains to your channel. You and your family were the victim of what appears to be either an unfortunate or careless act, regardless you are the victims w/o any other recompense. I must say, it's one of the more memorable videos I've seen in a long while. I was positively at the edge of my seat.
The first and biggest issue I see is a lack of available parts (assuming time and money were unlimited). There are parts that you would not be able to obtain. On a positive note, you have a wealth of spare parts to help others.
Beautiful car i'm old school my self.I had a 94 Camry but it got wreck got me a me a 95 Camry know and the same color gold too.I feel you losing a family car some people just don't get it.A car isn't just a car.
I came to watch and support a fellow Town Car lover, wasn’t expecting to have the last 5 minutes of the video here dedicated to me. I’m flattered. I don’t believe I referred to my blue car as a loaded Signature. Even though I was only 1 (born in 1988) I knew and can whole heartedly agree it wasn’t loaded. My white ‘89 with the burgundy top is loaded! I only owned the blue car for a month or two, so I can’t take credit for any damages over the last 35 years of its existence. But I’m happy to report my customers flew in and road tripped it all the way home hundreds of miles without issue! Good luck on your hunt for the replacement. - Anthony (the guy that was only 1 in 1989)
I follow you, Anthony, and I love that white Town Car! It's just that so many people were sending me the blue one, and I'd already seen it. I just don't want my parents to have one that needs a lot to do with it because we're so picky. None of our armrests look like that with more miles because we've trained ourselves to keep our armrests off of them. I love what you do. It does freak me out that someone missed the leather wrapped steering wheel option box on your white one. And I don't blame you for keeping that one.
@@tonyscarcare5657 I don't know were you'd find a TC much nicer then the one's Anthony get's. Is it possible for a 35 year old car not to have some minor cosmetic damage?
no way that's fixable and no way that guy was doing 20 mph omg the town car is so twisted its sad as to see.. so happy your mom and dad are doing great now and i can see all the structural and suspension damage yeah definitely using that town car for parts
If there is one good thing about this, your parents did get some good use out of the vehicle for many years and the car did get to live for 35 years, so I guess it’s not a total loss in that respect and now it will be harvested for parts That can be used on other town cars, good video, thanks for sharing with us
I agree with you. When you look at the door gaps on the left side none of them are the same. you can tell it is twisted. Plus the pillars on the right where it did get hit.
i have a 1996 lexus i plan to keep as long as i possibly can. i'd be devastated if it gets in a wreck like this and gets totaled. i also have a new honda accord and youre right its like a toy car, its all plastic and it scratches super easily. the lexus is all metal and just built better.
Hey Tony, my opinion by looking at the video is that this car is not worth fixing…having said that, I agree with you…if someone wants it to restore, then buy it and more power to them. It is such a shame that such a nice, vintage car has been destroyed. It does look like there are a lot of trim, interior, etc. parts that can be used. 👍
I wanted to add,if that car was mine I agree with you, I'd parted out,and I love those town cars, and that style will never age,if it wasn't for that roof damage,I would probably have a different opinion, but I am with you,it would take a truck load of work to ever get that windshield opening right now to mention the top crown, but the headliner all the mouldings, inside, and outside and the creaks and rattles and the list goes on.
When my 1994 Chrysler Concorde got totaled in an accident a bunch of people told me I could fix it even after me telling them that the transmission and front axle were ruined. These people don’t understand until it happens to them. And let’s say by some miracle you were able to fix the car, it would never drive the same as it did before the accident. Like you said, everything was shifted from the force and that’s really hard to undo.
Best bet is to use what you can to make the other 1 nicer. The wrecked 1 would be a possible candidate for a demo derby car with a little work to the front spindle
There is no way in hell that was hit at 20 mph. I’ve been around body shops to damage the frame as well as buckle the entire cab takes a serious amount of energy. Look forward to seeing the next car!! Enjoy the trip!
God bless you and your family, I was t-bones in my drivers side a couple of months back and having airbags and seat belt saved my life. I saw that it didn't have airbags and hope your father is okay.
You’re right about the blue one on specialty motors, I almost went for it but I wasn’t liking the dings and scratches either, and it was not loaded up. I only liked the low mileage I found a better one
Yeah, I'd normally be in the "It's an '80's Town Car, not a Camry that you see 10 million others on the road!!!! TRUST me, it's worth fixing!!!!" camp, but looking at how the frame is buckled, I can tell it's a goner.
So sad that's one less full Panther Lincoln on the road at least she will help others live and the most important thing is she sacrificed herself to protect your parents, so her superstructure did the job it was designed to do to protect the occupants. Please like my comments and I already subscribed.
@@tonyscarcare5657 It's fine Tony don't worry you're doing fine. I didn't realize until after I left that last comment about liking comments, I checked my notifications and saw that I think an hour or two earlier you left a like on one, maybe the first.
I completely agree with you on this. There is just too much damage and the big kicker being the bent frame. Even IF you spent the money to fix it, it would never be the same and you wouldn't be happy with the results. On the positive side, it's a very worthy parts car.
Very sad. Like going to a wake. Those who say it should be fixed are nuts. It's toast. Amazingly the grill still looks good. I'm surprised a little foreign car could do that much damage to a giant Lincoln. You would think the Town Car would have squished it like a bug. You need to find a good Voodoo priest to put a curse on the little weasel who did this. Just a thought.
Like I said on earlier video … older cars are made better than current cars, that likely saved their life and allowed them to walk away. Older cars are like tanks. Newer cars are mostly thin metal and plastic. It’s so sad what happened to the car 😢 😭.
A good overview of the damage to your parents' car, Tony. I agree wholeheartedly -- it will give its parts so that others may live. Good luck on the trip to get the next one. I am looking forward to seeing the "new" one.
I bought my mom a 1989 Lincoln town car with that sun roof , and the rubber gasket was bad !!! I had to use a ridding lawnmower drive belt and metal duct tape , to fix the problem. Utter then that it was a great car that car actually got 34 miles to the gallon on the interstate and 32 in the city . And that V-8 was a huge motor ! But to your mom and dads car use it for parts .
You are correct not to fix ,dad and mom's car is too far gone . In a common sense way, if you are a die hard Lincoln guy and have the money time go for it . What I appreciate is that car was built so figging strong back in the day and saved your parents 😅 . I hope you're parents are doing well .
It's not just the roof bud. It's the A pillar on the passenger side. That car will never be right ever again. Unfortunately it's a total loss. I fixed a bronco ii bk in the day that was just on it's side. But it wasn't that bad. Ugh. But glad ur parents are doing well for now. Praying 🙏
Hi Tony, I am so sad about the Lincoln glad your parents are ok. I was watching a UA-cam video lastweek and there was a 1988 Lincoln Sig Series for sale. I need to go find it again. But it had like 8,500 miles on it Velour interior in Navy blue metalic and blue inside. Great Condition of course. Of course i forgot the price. But if your looking for another one?
It’s sad but You oughta build the shell into a demo derby car so she can go out in style. Also I’ll keep an eye for when you part it out I need a couple of those center caps for my 87
I agree it's not fixable. Last year I had a beautiful Transformer Bumble Bee Camaro. It had been a show car and I snagged it. Even the interior seats had been re-upholstered in yellow leather recently. I got it in late June and right before the Nov. time change a deer cross walked on the interstate early one morning. The insurance company totaled it. It doesn't take much to total them anymore. Someone snagged it from a Co-Part auction for around $2K. Probably fixable by someone if they have the $$$ for new airbags. The seats alone someone could get $4-5K for them and the V8 engine even more.
Tony, whoever made the dum suggestion that this gorgeous Town Car can be repaired, obviously doesn't have a clue as to understanding when a car is totaled. Btw outdated or not, I would never trade any Lincoln Town Car for any new gabage plastic car. I have owned five Town Cars and love them all. At the moment I own a 2005 Lincoln Town Car and I love it. Kudos to all you videos and the fact your beloved parents are ok. A true testament to the builders and designers of the Lincoln Town Car! End of story... And btw, thank God you cut all the Trolls who made those nasty negative useless comments. Don't let them get to you brother. 🙏❤️
Idk I think both cars are gorgeous but I love the white inside better. It’s more classy look but just my opinion I’m just so glad they’re safe and not really injured
I wish she had the red leather interior, I’d love to upgrade my 75 Continental, although I have no doubt they probably aren’t the same size, lol. Mine is a 20ft long behemoth.
09:06 it's nice to see the positive side battery terminal cover still in place. I've seen cars catch on fire from the hood being pushed down onto the battery and frying it, of course they didn't have the cover over the + side still. this car looks as OEM as they come, even a Motorcraft battery if I saw that right.
Big fan keep doing the videos I didn't know you've worked on these cars so long that's cool to know I have a question on mine I have 86 and my relays keep on getting hot I think I have a bad fuel pump I'm going to change it out and see if that solves a problem but yeah I have a '86 on 24's and it's funny that you're living Illinois I'm from Illinois too but I live in Vegas Glad mom and pops is okay look forward to the videos enjoy your trip be safe
@@tonyscarcare5657 Yes the fuel pump relay is like on fire so I changed them out cuz they were original relays they still had Ford motor company stamped on them so I changed them out with those all gray aftermarket ones that are like 30 amps I think but it did solve the problem for a couple days and then the relay started getting hot again and what happens is I'll drive somewhere and then it won't want to start back up and then the relays on fire just so hot let it cool off for an hour and then it'll start back up and I'll get home but it loses power and acts up after the initial first drive of going somewhere I put nothing but premium fuel in it I've already cleaned the tank put in a new sending unit fuel pump about 2 years ago fuel filter changed out the fuel regulator the map sensor fuel rail fuel injectors plugs wires cap ignition coil throttle body sensor idle control valve idle control sensor put on new cats and a bunch of other work but that's what I've done for the fuel and exhaust system I did bypass a couple things and re-loop a couple hoses so the vacuum stays good in circulates well
@@tonyscarcare5657 yeah it's an AutoZone fuel pump too so that's got something to do with it I'm going to go get one from Napa or O'Reilly's or advance Auto parts they just started putting those out here in Vegas but also wanted to say thank you for a lot of goodies you done I was able to change my rear window motors because of you so thank you for that definitely I might just change my front one just because the ones I have are kind of just sluggish and I already have the window motors
Glad mom n dad are doing well, originally I thought it was repairable, but yes looks like a hell of a hit , my grand dad had a mid 80's Grand Marguis had a hell of an accident that tweaked the frame, the pulled it straight but it was never the same ride or anything, poor repair, , he was 86 and decided to give up driving after that, then we sold it .
UK viewer who's got an interest in Panther platform cars - Just a cursory glance at this Town Car's condition is enough to let me know that if this car was over here, the cost of insuring it after it's been in a wreck like that would be obscene. Our standards for what's considered a write off or total loss are similar to the USA, and by the looks of things, this one's what's considered to be a Category S (old Category C). It's not _impossible_ to repair it, and legally, you could, but unless it's something truly special that is absolutely worth saving (as in, something that's one of a kind, the last of its kind, etc.), you'd be burning money to do anything other than salvage what you can and recycle the rest - the cost of repairing the damage would be more than what it's worth. Ultimately, I think something that can definitely be taken away from this is it's just another testament to how good these cars are - it's sad that this one's destined to be melted down, but it went out protecting everyone inside, saving lives in the process.
It's like even if you went through the astronomical effort to repair the frame and all the subsequent connections that also shifted, the metal wouldn't have the same structural integrity and wouldn't be safe.
0:12 don't have to worry about meth heads jumping the fence and stealing the catalytic converters, as I don't remember seeing them at the crash site when the car was on it's top. That car needs to be home, it doesn't belong in a place like that.
I've always heard and seen that cars involved in a rollover are usually always totaled out. BTW, your dad cracked me up describing the "little shit". Makes me miss my dad.
Glad your parents are ok, that’s the important thing. Sorry to see the car destroyed but you’re right, anyone who thinks this is at all fixable is a fool. It’s totaled and it’s not even a question. Look, COULD it be fixed? Sure, with enough money you can raise and fix the Titanic but anyone with sense knows it’s way beyond an economic total loss.
Anyone who thinks that car can be repaired knows nothing about the structure of the Panther Platform. I could possibly be brought back cosmetically cosmetically. Structurally it is done for. You are right in thinking that saving the parts. The big thing is that your parents were able to walk away. There is one thing many would not think of is to save the headrests off the front seats. Those were 88 and 89 only, and only on Crown Victoria LX, Grand Marquis LS, and the Town Car. The name of the red interior parts is "Cabernet". I miss driving my big old Fords. My 89 Grand Marquis was a one of one custom order with the 351 and Tow Package. It saved me in a collision. If it weren't the car doing its job, I would be in a wheelchair. The High Level Sound System, which came with the Premium Sound Package plus a different head unit, was a $625CDN option. The most expensive single option on the car.

I've actually had mine just like it almost 15 years. We still have to get them one.
@@tonyscarcare5657 So, the one destroyed was your parents' car and the clean one is yours, if I'm mistaken?
Correct.
Thank you!
@@tonyscarcare5657 you’re welcome Tony.
Love all of your videos, glad your parents are doing well and will be able to find another car like the one they had, love your car, very nice.
Hate to see such a beautiful car smashed! Glad they are ok!!
This was my comment. I can just imagine some insurance adjuster trying to lowball the parents.
Happy to hear your parents are doing well all things considered! Can’t wait to see what they pickup as a replacement.
Look forward to seeing what the next car for your mom and dad is like. Keep your chin up 🙂 I for one enjoy your informative videos
Your right there's alot of beautiful parts that can be saved to fix others what a shame to lose a beautiful car glad your parents are ok
Thank you! You guys will see what we get and what we do to it.
Thanks, Mark!
I love your parents, and I hope they're doing better!!!
Thankfully a lot of good parts exist on the car and can help you or other people if you sell any of the parts.
The electronic dash was an $822.00 option on all 80s Lincoln Town Cars.
Thank you! I got quite a few bad comments on that one, but at the same time, it's gotten me over 500 new subscribers. 99% of the comments were good.
What a bummer. I'm glad your folks are ok.
The moonroof must've been a rare option. With all the body and frame damage I agree that this one is done. When I saw your first video I didn't see the frame damage.
If it was just the fender and suspension, without the roof damage it prolly would've been fixable.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
There's a ton of good parts on that. One of the best glove box doors I've ever seen despite the wreck. Safe travels, godspeed
Safe travels Tony.
I remember the Mark 4s with the lipstick interior... It just popped red on white
It's a shame, but as you said, others will live on. Me personally, I really like the white on white with burgundy carpet and dash.
To each their own😀
Just subscribed i was here since the Accident 😢 hope you find something close to that car or find another one in good condition!!
They have now bought two nice cars for $200 total over the asking price of that one. And they weren't near that far away. Stay tuned.
no way that's fixable and no way that guy was doing 20 mph omg the town car is so twisted its sad as to see.. so happy your mom and dad are doing great now and i can see all the structural and suspension damage yeah definitely using that town car for parts
My uncle had a rootbeer colored one. Really nice.
Those Town Cars are just a really good dependable, nice driving, and also very good looking.
You can't go wrong with the multi port 5,0,and the AOD.
I'm glad most of you have common sense! Thank you!
I'm glad that most of you have common sense. It's not like Elvis owned it.
Heaven gained an automotive beauty. Glad to hear your parents are okay.
Best bet is to use what you can to make the other 1 nicer. The wrecked 1 would be a possible candidate for a demo derby car with a little work to the front spindle
Hope you can find your Mom and Dad another Town Car. I'm so glad they are doing well.
Thank you! My parents are doing well.
You’re right about the blue one on specialty motors, I almost went for it but I wasn’t liking the dings and scratches either, and it was not loaded up. I only liked the low mileage I found a better one
The driver armrest looked like it was repaired with Play-Do!
@@tonyscarcare5657 wow i didn’t catch that I’m glad I passed on it
Yeah, I'd normally be in the "It's an '80's Town Car, not a Camry that you see 10 million others on the road!!!! TRUST me, it's worth fixing!!!!" camp, but looking at how the frame is buckled, I can tell it's a goner.
It is good to part your parents car out. So many other vehicles can continue to live.
So sad that's one less full Panther Lincoln on the road at least she will help others live and the most important thing is she sacrificed herself to protect your parents, so her superstructure did the job it was designed to do to protect the occupants. Please like my comments and I already subscribed.
Thank you! I try my best to keep up, but it's very hard. I like them all.
@@tonyscarcare5657 It's fine Tony don't worry you're doing fine. I didn't realize until after I left that last comment about liking comments, I checked my notifications and saw that I think an hour or two earlier you left a like on one, maybe the first.
Best wishes on your car search … it’s so sad what happened 😢.
I completely agree with you on this. There is just too much damage and the big kicker being the bent frame. Even IF you spent the money to fix it, it would never be the same and you wouldn't be happy with the results.
On the positive side, it's a very worthy parts car.
It's a sad end for a beautiful car. I'm glad your parents are okay.
Don't let these hate comments get to you. it's not worth it bro.
The Lincoln will make a good parts car.
Thank you Tony.
If he had been one second sooner, he would have gotten in front and got hit by the Lincoln and probably dead. He hot them at a high rate of speed.
Like I said on earlier video … older cars are made better than current cars, that likely saved their life and allowed them to walk away. Older cars are like tanks. Newer cars are mostly thin metal and plastic. It’s so sad what happened to the car 😢 😭.
In 1989 the insurance company more than likely would have totaled it. You definitely have made the right decision.
I think I may still have a couple of those moonroof seals.
I would pull motor and transmission and keep it for another town car if you need it in the future
Praying 🙏
Yes, I talked about the A & B pillar both in the video.
Also I’ll keep an eye for when you part it out I need a couple of those center caps for my 87
Yeah I see you posted on this car! The car would be unsafe to be on the!!
At the moment I own a
2005 Lincoln Town Car and I love it. Kudos to all you videos and the fact your beloved parents are ok. A true testament to the builders and designers of the Lincoln Town Car! End of story...
And btw, thank God you cut all the Trolls who made those nasty negative useless comments. Don't let them get to you brother.
🙏❤️
Thank you! I try to get rid of all of the negative comments and the ones who post them.
Looking forward to the upcoming vids.
Idk I think both cars are gorgeous but I love the white inside better.
It’s more classy look but just my opinion I’m just so glad they’re safe and not really injured
If it has frame damaged, it’s not worth fixing. It’d make a great parts car though!
Tony, Can’t wait to see what you and your parents find.
Is it the fuel pump relay getting hot?
@@tonyscarcare5657 Yes the fuel pump relay is like on fire so I changed them out cuz they were original relays they still had Ford motor company stamped on them so I changed them out with those all gray aftermarket ones that are like 30 amps I think but it did solve the problem for a couple days and then the relay started getting hot again and what happens is I'll drive somewhere and then it won't want to start back up and then the relays on fire just so hot let it cool off for an hour and then it'll start back up and I'll get home but it loses power and acts up after the initial first drive of going somewhere I put nothing but premium fuel in it I've already cleaned the tank put in a new sending unit fuel pump about 2 years ago fuel filter changed out the fuel regulator the map sensor fuel rail fuel injectors plugs wires cap ignition coil throttle body sensor idle control valve idle control sensor put on new cats and a bunch of other work but that's what I've done for the fuel and exhaust system I did bypass a couple things and re-loop a couple hoses so the vacuum stays good in circulates well
I've honestly never had that happen, but the fuel pump would be my first guess.
I gave a video here that shows the grease points and how the front windows work. 👇

Cats have been gone for years. It's in a safe place.
Such a beautiful classic but I agree with you Tony. It’s definitely done for buddy
Makes me nervous about driving my 1985 Thunderbird Elan.
Sure, with enough money you can raise and fix the Titanic but anyone with sense knows it’s way beyond an economic total loss.
i agree that it does need to parted out - so sad to a beautiful car totaled but thank God no one was seriously hurt in the accident
I used to have a 88 mark vii. Not a bad idea
