On the topic on damage, I've always thought the Heavy should normally deal increased melee damage (of about 95 damage) due to him being the slowest class and that trying to get a melee kill on Heavy is incredibly hard to pull off to compensate the Scout dealing less melee damage with his faster swing speed
I think Heavy and Pyro should both have increased melee damage. But to 75 and 81 respectively. It would now be better to melee at least, Both two shot Medics, But both are meant to be close range.

Most encounters I deal with there is a desired range I have vs the desired range they have, with the fight coming down to who is closer to their ideal range. Scouts want to be under you at melee, Pyro's wanna scorch-spam across the map, ect. On the other hand heavy quickly becomes out-ranged faster then any class except demo-knight and pyro. It's not that the ideal range doesn't exist, just that the range you speak of is the same range as a melee spammer, pyro, spy, and scout with the F.A.N.

This is hilarious to me because I remember during my first 40 hours having little to no mechanical skill. I was playing Heavy and had my sandvich out because I was low health when a soldier came around the corner reloading. I wanted to put my sandvich away and switch to my melee, since I assumed that he was low health too and since by the time I revved my gun he would‘ve already finished reloading, when I misclicked, stayed on my sandvich, and the since I was used to games where you can aim down sights, right-clicked. I fucking healed him moments before he blew me to smitherines. How damn bad at the game do you have to be to deal negative damage?

They put the speed cap in because the BFB was causing hit reg issues and the speedcap was just a quick and dirty fix for it. Removing the speedcap would just bring all of that back.

@@vyor8837 The speed cap hasn't been around since the game launched. I know the wiki says it was (or I guess implies is more correct). While the TF2 wiki is good for a wiki, it's still a wiki. The 520 cap is in place because if you exceed it the hit reg falls apart and that's alright for bhopping/blast jumping but it was too easy for the BFB.
I honestly feel heavys shotty should do at least more damage than scouts but no same as every other classes other than scouts the fastest and tied for frailest class. Edit yes sandvitch would always be better but it cant hurt to buff fat scout to at least match normal scout in damage.

It effectively allows Heavy to become a walking Health pack for both himself and his teammates, especially Medics. Sacrificing your damage output from the Shotgun for the Sandvich's healing is necessary to keep Heavy balanced, as since he already is one of the most oppressive classes in the game, giving him the option to both quick damage and healing is a recipe for him becoming overpowered.

Wouldnt it be cool for taunt kills that are also partner taunts, so for example: heavy and soldier agree and they do a Tiny fight before one of them dies, if soldier dies he gets his back broken like in the thumbnail and if heavy dies he gets shoveled in the face because i couldnt figure out something creative

Everything to understand and learn about this class is to do with revving. Is the concept of timing your revs actually difficult?
Why was this a necessary change? The minigun and Heavy were not at all overpowered before Love and War. In fact the whole concept of revving the minigun already fulfills that purpose. It prevents Heavy from attack instantly. Theres literally no good reason why the damage should be halved before that. And theres certainly no reason for the accuracy penalty. Absolutely no one asked for that change. And in the 8 years since it was nerfed this is the only time I've seen anyone actually defend it.
the minigun's 1 second spinup damage ramp up is so that a heavy already revved around a corner will never lose to a heavy that just jumped around a corner and started spinning up.
two things: one, can you do the whole DPS thing for Pyro’s primaries as well? two, i think Demo can STILL do a little more damage with an ultra-vague damage boost that can only be used if your already swinging your melee when you charge. Can you try this with the half-zatoichi max damage setup?

Thats actually been covered in the previous videos in the series- that downside is ignored if the attack is a crit or mini-crit. Not sure why, but it technically makes it a non factor here because crits/mini-crits will always do more.
My bet for engineer is that his Level 3 rockets will deal the most damage, unless the Frontier Justice or Gunslinger taunt kills hit more than one enemy, then it would be those.

The buffalo steak sandvich has a hidden downside that increases damage taken by 20% so you can theoretically deal more damage
