    I'm pretty sure the reason the short circuit can't be crit-boosted is because it reused a spell for its projectile, which also can't be crit boosted but _can_ be mini-crit boosted.

    Before you start working on that medic video, I believe there's currently a bug involving the quick-fix and thermal thruster.
    If you attach the quick-fix onto a thermal thruster pyro as they blast away, you'll copy their "stomping ability" (ergo, you can stomp as medic) and you'll have reduced fall damage.
    The effect will stay until you respawn, and it's main downside is that the direct hit and the reserve shooter will always mini-crit.

      Also, when you do that, you might want to revist pyro with the thermal thruster. The pyro can end up in the same scenario if the jetpack is removed while the stomp effect is active. This can be achieved by walking out of spawn with the thermal thruster equipped, swapping to any other secondary in your loadout, and then launching yourself into the resupply locker with the thermal thruster.

    the metal rounding might be because you were running the tests locally, on a windows server. the same thing happens with small ammo packs, but they work fine on linux servers which is what valve uses

    I vaguely remember that the metal rounding down has something to do with the OS the server is running on. The metal return rounds correctly to 60 when on valve servers because they run on linux I think. Most other servers are hosted on windows and there is a subtle discrepancy in the way both OS do the math

    The phlog taunt used to be able to live a telefrag back when it healed the pyro and gave them 90% resistance instead of just uber and knockback immunity

    3:15 In case you didn't know what that was, pretty much you can get a ring from the mann co store, rename it if you want, and then propose to another player. If they accept, a notification is sent to all TF2 players about it, and both players get the matching cosmetic, being an all class ring. It's called the "Something Special For Someone Special."

    I think the reason why the widowmaker still refills the same metal even when no damage is dealt is because the metal you get relies on the amount of pellets that hit an enemy instead of the damage

    Being inside an enemy while both of you are alive will actually allow any player on the server to clip through enemies as long as you two stay inside one another. If an enemy stands inside their invisible spawn barrier while this happens, players on the opposing team can pass through them into their spawn.

    You could get more damage with the short circuit secondary if the target is move in the same direction as the electric ball. That can allow them to be hit 3-5 times instead of just the normal 2 times (or maybe even only 1 time if they move in the opposite direction of the ball).

    My guess for tele-fraging is that it takes someones particles and take them to the exit reconstructing them perfectly, but there's an anti particle area in the middle of transportation, due to that it kills whoever was on the exit end. Vaporizing their particles to make way for the ones moving there. If that didn't happen then the characters would fuse if the other didn't die.

    This series is enjoyable, plain fun and teaching players things too, like the manthreads damage stacking or how resistances are... kinda gimmicky in thier own right with incorrect damage numbers. I definitely look forward to medic. Curious what the best is that a medic can do. Crossbow will be interesting, as it has inverse falloff/rampup

    ooooh for the fastest healing with medic it's probably using the quickfix charge on a player with crit heals available and for the slowest, overhealing a soldier holding the equalizer (you can add multiple other healing sourced to make it even less)

    hypothetically you could double the short circuit's max damage via the triple explosion tech (shooting it at the ground next to the enemy while theyre standing on two dynamic surfaces)

    6:40 As you have probably seen on my comment from a previous video, the calculation rounds down before doing the next operation, instead of rounding down the end result. Instead of that, the game would instead go:
    65 • .75 = 48.75
    48 • .67 = 32.16
    32 • .34 = 10.88
    It then floors this final result to 10. The flooring (always rounding down) of every single number before doing the next operation caused 1.105 points of damage to be lost.

    I think with most of the damage inconsistences through the series that the calculations might be rounded down to the nearest integer at each step. It would account for the missing damage here at least. Haven't checked for all of them

    The max telefrag damage is actually able to happen in a match if some gimmicky heavy using the warrior's spirit runs on top of your teleporter while buff banner is active and you have strength

    I'm kind of surprised that being clipped into an enemy that survives a telefrag doesn't get you both stuck at all, because I know from a buggy encounter I had on CoC bumper cars this year that players very much do get stuck when collided into one another (I had gotten stuck on the pole under the dropping platforms with an enemy because I think we both fell at the same time, and the collision was preventing us both from falling further, which was funny because everyone else had died so we were the only ones left and everyone who ran into us to revive ended up falling again lmao)

    it is possible to pass your score
    put the sentry upgrade level 2 and put dispenser upgrade level 2 then go to sentry make it level 3 and then to dispenser make it level 3, to the teleporters, put tele upgrade level 2 and put the other one and level 3, the thing i said is to ignore the cooldown while upgrading, just put the other one and upgrade it so you dont lose time, the cooldown for animation

    Regarding the metal rounding, I think I know why that's happening that way, as shounic did a video on something similar. It could be the same rounding error for metal that affects the small ammo pack for Windows servers. I guarantee if you set this up on a private Linux server (which is what TF2 runs on for Valve servers), the Widowmaker would get the full 60 metal back as intended.

    It makes sense why the last hit of the Gunslinger taunt uses explosion damage. Explosion damage is already programmed to Gib a target on death, so why does an exception to non-typed damage when you have a solution.

    I got curious and wanted to see if I can make an equation to accurately represent the "strange" and "missing" damage points across your videos.
    Holy fuck, it was pain.
    So if you're dealing with straight base damage, mini-crits, and rampup / falloff, the equation is quite simple.
    It's floor(baseDmg x miniCrit x distanceModifier), with floor() saying to remove the excess decimal places at the end.
    The real reason why it was pain is that evil strength power-up.
    I have no idea what the hell it does half the time to the equations. No matter how I integrate it into a usable equation, it isn't consistent. Here's some examples:
    For the Rocket Launcher, a strength power-up and max rampup should do 225, but it does 224. It's okay, without the power up, it deals 112, so maybe it doubles the damage after flooring it.
    2 x floor(baseDmg x distanceModifier)
    But then it's immediately invalidated because mini-crits exist, which if inserted leads to 302 when it's supposed to be 303!
    For the Revolver, oh god. It does 119 with a strength powerup and max rampup. It makes no sense that it's 120, because if you double something, it should be even, not odd! So maybe it IS inside of the floor equation.
    floor(2 x baseDmg x distanceModifier)
    But even inside the floor equation, IT MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE IT'S STILL 120?! The best thing I could come up with is a floating point error causing it to be 119.99999... and then it gets floored.
    Even after adding in mini-crits to the equation, it gets me 162. I STILL have to account for a potential floating point error of it being 161.99999... floored.
    Even after all that, I have to have a "sanity check" with the grenade launcher to make sure the equations match up. Low and behold, most of them are terrible except for the simple one at the beginning. I haven't even touched resistances because I was spending too much time incorporating a singular power-up into a general equation, and I can't imagine those would be much better.
    Moral of the story, if you want consistent numbers that match predicted equations, good luck. I'll try to update my findings if I do create an accurate equation.
    As a side note, the only way for the melee to be reduced to 10 dmg is if you apply each resistance one at a time, each time flooring the value.

    11:26 What about the healing spell from halloween maps? Healing spell will heal the user and any teammates around them for double their health. So 500 damage to a resistance Heavy with the healing spell used would leave the Heavy with 100 health. Obviously for it to not count as cheating it would have to be a halloween map for Mannpower with Spells enabled.

    6:38 Maybe all decimal numbers for the Jag are rounded down, for some reason (so it would be .66 and .33 instead of .67 and .34 totalizing 10.61775)?

    You could probably get more damage per short circuit ball if the enemy is moving along with it rather than standing still.
