  • Most people try to find out a lot of information about dental implants, without thinking too much about the teeth that go on top of the dental implants.
There are a few ways to fix teeth to dental implants, and in this video I will compare the two most popular, fixing with glue, and fixing with a screw.

I have an upcoming 5 unit anterior implant bridge case with 3 implants. As much as I try to do screw-retained as possible, this case would be difficult for screw-retained due to likely access hole showing on facial. Also, my concern is passive fit seating issues with long span bridge cases. Angulated solutions sounds great but I don't feel there is long term research on it for bridge cases. So, I'm going to do cement-retained custom abutments for this case and have the margins supragingival on lingual and equal-gingival on facial for easy cement clean-up. I think cement-retained is fine as long as you follow proper protocol and don't use too much cement and have the margins supragingival.

Ty for making this video. I’m down to the end of my full upper bride which originally we were planning on 3 pieces but today my dentist said it was going to be one piece and cemented. At first I was thrown off bc he said it was going to be one piece but now I’m thrown off about the cement. Guessing they didn’t get the positioning of the implants right and now they want to go with the cement.

How do you dentist ensure the tmj is aligned and in the correct position....the atlas and axis is aligned and the body is in correct position before doing implants and teeth loading?

I have just got my full mouth dental bridge luted to my implants . My dentist says better not to cement.
The upper and lower bridge is not firmly attached and bonded to implants. It loosely attached.
Should I ask my dentist to cement which he says will be hard to remove if needs be 😢😢😢

How long does it take for someone to notice that there was too much cement on the implant before it starts to create inflammation or other problems?

Florida will strengthen natural teeth, but has no effect on implants

Wats the lifespan of the implant practically?

Decades. If they are kept clean, and not overloaded, and the person is healthy, they should last several decades.
