This fits all model years of the model 3 including the 2024 highland. They also make a larger fridge for the tesla model y. There are several modes this fridge can be adjusted to including the temperature which ranges from -7 degrees to 50 degrees fahrenheit, the energy consumption mode , and bluetooth mode.
When looking at the contents of the box it also comes with the regular household plug along with the cigarette adapter and finally the hard top cover that goes on top of the fridge. One thing to note: the fridge does need to ventilate. I would not advise covering this with a floor mat as I did notice plenty of air movement on the top of the unit. Using the included hard top will ensure this fridge can breathe when in use. The buttons on top are fairly easy to use but I found the app that connects to this fridge to be much easier to use. To install this, just plug in the cord on the side of the fridge and then place the fridge in the sub trunk with the cord running up to the middle of the car. You can hide the cord along the back seat along the side and then further tuck it down under the passenger rear seat to finally connect this to the center console. Simply turn it on by pressing the power button and then go into the app and set the power setting to ECO mode. I wasn't too sure about running this on MAX mode as this may drain your 12v battery too quickly. Also when running this in ECO mode, this fridge will auto detect when to shut-off to prevent your battery from dying. Just to be on the safe side, I would just unplug it from the center console when you are not driving the car. I was advised by Hansshow that this fridge will continue to run when you have sentry mode enabled in the tesla. Going through the rest of the app the ability to change the temperature is very easy by sliding it up and down.
When you first turn on the unit it does take about 45 mins to 1 hour for the fridge to get down to 38 degrees for cold drinks. I could see this being an excellent accessory for those on a camping or beach trip due to its space saving shape and easy grip handles on top. The 20 L capacity does fit a good amount of items like the 20 - 12 oz cans I had placed inside and as I said earlier there is a bigger fridge if you have a model Y. The additional LED light inside also helps out on those dark evenings to find your items.
