Air going back to the turbo cold side will not spin the turbine backwards. It will slow it down the turbine, means you need a bit more time for the turbo to spool up to normal speed again. The stutututu sound comes from the pressure getting chopped up from going back and against the spinning turbine.

I have this on my 2020 Sti but the previous owner had it set to 100% vent to atmos. Will dial it back to 80 recirc and 20 vent to atmos. Was thinking I might just put the bypass valve back on I'm just concerned with the whole glazing the cylinders thing over time.
@@McPerferct you can just set it to 100% recirc and it'll be completely fine mate. I keep mine on full recirc most the time, unless I'm filming a video

Hey mate. Its a bit of hit and miss. All the internet warriors will tell you that you have to. I've spoken to a few tuners and mechanics, they said it doesn't really matter. I didnt get mine tuned after putting this on, but when I went to get it tuned after fitting the down pipe, i asked the tuner about the BOV he said it doesnt really make a difference.
Mine came with a gfb, but I don’t understand why you’d want that untuned, the oem bpv is good to 19, and the gfb doesn’t sound any different unless you open the bov, which isn’t good for the engine
Brother what, 90% front mount kits come with only a blow off no recirc also. I’m running 26 psi and the stock recirc is shit. Leaks boost being plastic, proper pro tune not just off shelf and a blow off can be 100% healthy

Hey mate thanks for watching. Did you dial the spring load all the way in? Its plenty loud for me with my venting set to 30% The car will stumble if you dont dial in the spring load high enough, and cause that CEL

Great question mate. Everything you said is 100%, in theory anyway. I have mine on full recirc 100% of the time now, and I haven't had to change the spring preload. No issues.

Yup, dial the springload all the way in and make sure all your hose clamps are tight. It may also want to stall if you're on 60%+ venting. Thanks fkr watching mate!

@@nes3382 On full recirc, you wont hear anything with stock intake. You need some level of venting to hear the psh psh.
