- Vesc connected to the custom wii nunchuk pcb using the nrf24l01 2.4ghz chip designed by Benjamin Vedder with assistance from my self.
Demonstrating cruise control and change direction. Using bldc tool on OS X to program the vesc.
Demonstrations yo using the enertion dual motor kit for electric longboard
And the enertion space cell

in my opinion, a great looking option. if I do one, the only thing I will change is the charge port to a micro usb, and the only addition would be some form of battery monitor led
i have a VESC , an R~SPEC motor and 2 nyko kama controllers . and i have it for 3 months now not knowing what to do with it . thanks for the links you provided here .
First vesc is connected via a nrf chip and the second vesc is connected to the first via can bus 2 wires.
It's just a standard 8pin header for an nrf24 to a 6pin or 7pin jst ph connector
Awesome stuff, griffincobby. Are you going to sell these as well?
How exactly did you include the speed-keeping/speed-pick-up thing? I guess those are sensorless/brushless motors, so how exactly do you pick up the current speed and manage to keep it when pressing the button?
where can I buy the custom nunchuk board, the wireless nunchuk appears difficult to find on amazon and co.
Hey, I bought a yuneec e-go some time ago and now the ESC broke down. I ordered a VESC for it. I also have NRF24l01 2.4ghz modules.
My Question now: Can I somehow reuse the remote from my e-go? It works also on 2.4ghz. I love the design of the remote and I don't wanna buy a new one / build one. Do you recon it is possible and if yes, how I could make it work?
how well is the nRF24L01 performing / handling outside interference ?
Can it go in reverse direction?
individually control motor speed/direction.I want to have differential speed control on dual motor set up to be able to turn board remotely. Ultimately to make board completely remote controlled. Possibly with WII nunchuck. Do you know how to do that?
how can we have this pcb please ? i'm very interesting for that ! i built my own battery my deck....and i would like to do the remote too.
Im building my first Electric longboard so pardon me if the question is dumb. So if i but a vesc and set it up the way you did it with the nunchuk receiver, would i be able to just do as you did in the video and get the same result? Im talking about the computer program you used to configure the vesc.
The program used to configure the VESC is called the BLDC-tool Benjamin Vedder the VESC designer created the software too and has it on github. On linux I had to download the source and run a few commands to build the program but believe there are prebuilt versions for windows/mac just search for the BLDC-tool github page for details
How do you connect your 2 motors to your receiver, 2VESC's i suspect ?? but how do you connect those 2VESC's to your controller ?
Not sure as I only have a single motor board but I believe the CANbus can be used to connect the two VESCs so the signal from the receiver would go into one VESC and that would send the same data over to the second VESC with a very small delay (CANbus I believe is designed for cars to do things like activate the air bag in case of a collision so it is meant for "near real time" response).
@@ShaunHusain yes that right !!
hi is it possible to turn this into an RC car ?
Do you sell that?
That Z button reverse direction would throw you right off the board.
Andrew Maurer it only works once the motors hit 0rpm so if you hit it while riding it will slowly brake then change direction.
Now that is awesome, nice feature. I bought two VESC-X from enertion a couple days ago. Looking forward to paring it with a nuncchuck style controller.
can you buy this custom pcb?
you dont WANTG Z buton is nt COLL feature,, is CRASH buton.. imagine trigger it in 32km/h... like wtf,.,
you need to make it a kit and sell it on ebay
Differential steering on a skateboard anyone?
