  • Some FOC testing with the VESC6. I tried to use Blender for some basic editing to make the video a bit less boring than my other videos. I must say that Blender VSE with the transform addon works really well for editing videos fast, and it was easy to learn.

Very nice, i really like the rewrite of the BLDC tool. Seems to be much easier to handle and it looks much cleaner. Looking forward to VESC6.

really nice update. Just curious, I got an vesc 4.12 HW version, it seems like vesc6 has huge improvement with car motors & FOC. Is it possible to achieve similar improvements with the old version of vesc?

You were in Seattle ? Hope you like it and had a chance to check out the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. If you like coffee it's heaven on earth. I was there a couple of months ago and decided to take my electric skateboard. Funny thing is the hills were so steep my batteries were straining badly and my 80 mm wheels were not good on the rough streets and sidewalks. I need to upgrade to all terrain wheels and obviously upgrade to that Vesc 6 you have cooking up in your lab. Anyway, I just want to say I enjoy your work and if you are ever in Chicago my house is your house. I even have a spare Boosted Board if you want to go cruising. I enjoy your work and thanks for sharing it with all of us. PM me anytime if your serious about visiting one of the greatest cities on earth! Take care

Dear Benjamin, I'm currently working on my Master's degree in "EV torque vectoring" and my Matlab model is almost done. But I strongly desire to build a scale model with individual control on rear wheels. After many attempts to find something suitable I find a bench of BLDC's ESC but with terrible PWM control and also meant decent ESC but very expensive(my University didn't intend to cover expenses). In the end I found your Open source VESC and I was happy to find out it support CAN and many other features.
My question is: "Does it possible to make possible to send PWM or even directly rpm parameter and receive backward other parameters such as speed (rpm); current back from VESC to Master Microcontroller (in my case NUCLEO-F746ZG
    ) via CAN? "
Please also mention what hardware revision and software revision does support that future.

Hello! I have a converted Scootet 6 months work from 36V 7A to 48V 24Ah 13S8P battery and 48V 1000W motor. And a VESC 75100 controller with Computer VESC Tool 6.02. But my scooter always stutters when I drive away! What kind of setting is this? Which value is too low or too high? I have standard value ERPM 100,000 and I have motor 60A and battery I have set to 45A. My battery is 48V 24Ah 13S8P with 50A BMS. So what is the minimum amount I can set for my battery? I now have 45A and the motor I have selected -2000G Outrunner and set 60A. I don't understand why when checking the engine where the engine rotates briefly and then turns forwards and briefly backwards and then shows a box with values for the engine etc. and it always says "Sensorless" at the bottom! Huh ?? Why?! I have Hall sensors and 3 motor phases, i.e. motor cables. And when the motor is OK, it always shows "Sensorless" in this box. Normally, the box at the bottom should say: Hall sensors! Why is that?? My motor has 3360 grams so 3.3kg. And I always choose: Outrunner -2000G. Please make a video for e-scooter settings! Not always just for skateboards or RC cars. That would be great because most people use the VESC controllers for their e-sooters! PS.: I bought and installed a single controller VESC 75100 with Bluetooth module, but it is always in the bottom left corner in the tool on the computer via USB connection; 75300! Why 75300?! Hmmm
