He went to work on this one! It's hard to add to perfection, but he manages to pull it off in spades! When he is on his game, it gets even more emotional. Different phrasing, extended runs, one note pauses. This performance was second to none. Extremely gifted.

It remembers me to never put limits on my playing, because if you think that a guitarist like Andy exists, you know there is always a better way to play something. It's up to you to find it. But at the same time, you know deep inside you that you'll never be capable to play like Andy. Anyway, never, NEVER put limits on what you think are capable to do.

In early times of Hendrix, Page and Clapton (and McLaughlin&Co) could someone imagine that rock music would ever have such musicality (even not speaking about playing technique so rich, developed and remaining characteristic for rock guitar)?

That's one of the most important lessons to take from this piece. Speed is only impressive and cool if you use it rarely and with the right setup. If you just shred through the whole song, the listener gets used to it and it become less interesting or even boring.

in the spirit of david gilmour...the space and feel is everything...add the notes for more expression but the composition must be the foundation over pure shred which leaves you empty...in short art always triumps technique this is a very mature song

I think most of us would compare this to the Ibanez 90th performance at Hoshino, that was the unbelievably impossible performance though so that is very unfair.
I find this version more interesting and expressional than original. it proves you can add see extra sugar on top of silver lining to make it even more shiny. thank you . I wish I had a guitar and amps that sound like yours. chapeau bas. not bas actually chapeau badass;)
