I live in the town the SITE is in and i still get RSSI of high 70’s/Low 80’s. Doesnt make sence. I got the REM-820s, havent got to test it long, so far though, not sure if its worth 40-50 bucks.
Proof is in the numbers! Look like they make nice antennas. Diamonds and Comets are too. Most are. I use a Comet HT-224 on my SDS100. Nice and rounded for most of the ranges. Aftermarket antennas are pretty good if the length is about right. Any stock duck is basically a coil spring, not a whip. Length should be in the middle of the range you are using. Antenna length is optimum depending on the frequency your aiming for. 468 / Frequency gives you the perfect 1/2 wavelength. As with any HT radio. Higher frequency's, smaller antenna. If your at home you can make a real nice DIY for your SDS100 that will pick up everything for practically nothing. It will scan from air band in the 120's up to 800's beautifully! (I have a DIY on my BCD996P2 made of 1/2" copper pipe outside) Get a piece of coax, one end with a connector. Get speaker wire/any wire, and cut 2 pieces. One 48 inches, One 18 inches. Hook one to the center core, Hook one to the braided shielding. They can not touch. Hang it vertically on you wall with thumbtacks. Longer end or shorter end either way makes no difference. You will receive everything quite nice. It's fun too! Happy Scanning! 73"s
How did you configure your displays in such a way?. You can definitely see the difference between the antennas. If you want to have another jump in performance , attach it to an aerial!!
Is there a good website I can access that gives you all the frequencies for your area and it necessary to run your SDS 100 ? Also do you recommend the GPS antenna? Or is it really not necessary for going to program in all your local frequencies? Also does this perform a lot of the same features as the unit Unicatiom G5?
I got the sds 200 and the remtronix antennae for it, absolutely the cadillac of scanners, hands down
❤❤❤❤❤ I love my STS 100. I’m going to get the Sds200 as well
Love my SDS100 and just got my SDS200****** Scan On*****
I have both the BNC and the SMA version of this antenna, the SMA outperforms the the one using UnidenSDS100 BNC adapter.
i have noticed that as i have both as well
Thanks @RC944jim very good info

How does the Remtronix perform compared to the stock antenna at 150-400Mhz?
never shows the antenna
oops sorry

Could you post a video of this DIY. Sounds interesting. I'm trying to envision the copper pipe and schematics and it's just not hitting right.
Not a new antenna. They just added an o-ring to it.
SIMULCAST? If you are near other 800-700 repeaters as on mountains or in downtown Memphis, how well does this work?

you can config the displays in Sentinel, and share them
What frequencies is the stock antenna ideal at?
How do you add a frequency that says “T 20208” ? How’s the new antenna working out? Seems like it’s working well.
1:47 Remtronix
Where’s the sound ?
How You get them light on the top to work?
Set an alert in Sentinel. Either tone or light or both.

radioreference.com and has more features than the G4/G5
fine if you live in use but no good in uk
Sorry video must me some weirdo getting off to the scanner feed
You don't know what you are talking about.
I do know what I’m talking about dumb shit 😆 that’s why you are so 🤷♀️
