- We finally drove the updated 2024 Kia Sonet in and around Bhopal. In this first drive review, we tell you all its big positives and negatives. While there are no mechanical changes done to the vehicle, its diesel engine has started acting little different and has become less frugal. In terms of features, it's probably the most loaded car at this price point.
Very very realistic review from ICN keep the good work going
Interior fit and finish is mind blowing😯. But talking about external looks this's more of a jacked up hatch than brezza and nexon.
The only true SUV in this segment is Bolero Neo. Every other car is a jacked up hatchback/crossover and that’s true even for the segment above best sellers.
Nexon bhi Hatch on steroid he lagti hai. SUV looks is present in Brezza only.

Once made a mistake by purchasing Baleno and my bad fate, every 3 months my car was in a workshop to get an accidental claim. Trust lost for all such car manufacturers since then. I would prefer a TATA MAHINDRA or a VW only.

10:15 I am seeing each and every channel refer to the head restraints as head rests. That wrong. And the reason why there is not head restraint in the rear middle seat is that it probably comes only with a lap belt and not 3 point belt. In a crash, the seatbelt holds the occupant in place and due to this, the neck extends back (hyper extension). The head restraints prevent this from happening. Lap belts = no whiplash, no head restraint.

What is the additional maintenance cost for DCT when compared to IMT?
DCT gearbox replacement cost: 6-7 lakhs. So be prepared if out of warranty.
@ICN Sonet Diesel ki delivery lene wala hu kuch din me..lu ki nahi. Or shall I consider Nexon Petrol DCT or Sonet Petrol DCT??? Price difference of min 1.3Lakh between Sonet Diesel and Nexon Petrol but 1.6L between Sonet Diesel and Petrol.. I expect minimum 4kmpl extra in Diesel. And of course smooth transmission of AT compared to DCT.
Dont listen to these guys .. performance+mileage can only delivered by a DIESEL
Dont expect good mileage atleast in city 10 - 12 Max. I have Sonet Diesel AT - HTX.

It’s nice color 2:21 but matt is always becomes Shining after 2.5 years and We can not do matt PPF for over 1 lakh so normal variant with glossy make more sense 😊

Kindly don’t spread false news diesel is the best pick in entire Sonet, Seltos & Carens lineup and ARAI mileage is also more than petrol and turbo petrol. You have not tested via tank to tank method I can’t believe that diesel will be less efficient than petrol people are crying after buying 1.0 turbo petrol giving 6 to 7 km/l in city.
I said what I saw. I have been driving the Sonet diesel AT for more than a month now.

Good review, but in terms of fuel efficiency, it differs from other reviews.
I agree with your thoughts on sun roof. It is not at all required. Moreover, there is a safety issue and also possibility of water leakage.

Why compnies choose 3cylinder turbo ?
smaller size, lower cost and power figures comparable to 1.5Litre NA of Honda/Hyundai. Tax benefit too. I would have still tried a 1.2 liter 3 cylinder Turbo

It's surprising to see the low mileage here in Sonet and Seltos. I have i20 2021 diesel model. I easily get 18+ kmpl in city and 25+ on highway. My highest mileage on my i20 is 36.5 kmpl over 25 kms.
I have seltos diesel and milage is not adequate as I expected before buying, I get 11-12 in city and 18-20 in highway, if i drive under 100kmph

@@pruthvirajchavan2110 Ample amount of space everywhere two 6 feet people can sit back to back, the headroom is a bit less tho for people longer than 5'11" in the rear (cause of sloping roof) rest good. Boot is good and spacious too. The Led headlight throw sucks, I recommend installing the base model projector unit and throwing in Philips LED to justify which I did myself.
You need to get Samsung Flip5/6 if you want compact phone
I have both nexon and sonet but nexon ride quality is far better than this
This car seriously needs a 1.5L Petrol NA engine like Brezza... 1.2L Petrol NA is offered in lower variants only with limited features & is grossly under powered... 1.5L Petrol NA can drive sales compared to competition if offered in middle trims & even GT line along with a MT option...
Tata need to work on engine refinements, reliability, ergonomics and space efficiency otherwise safety triumph card vanish soon for a nexa, based on extensive usage of nexa and kia

To buy a BS6 DIESEL VEHICLE is not advisable because of DPF issues unless you have frequent Highway rides.

Kia sonet htx imt or dct which is better and easy to maintain
DCT is a proper automatic gearbox as compared to the iMT and hence, it is much more convenient and easy to maintain.
Ravi ji from DDS showed a fuel efficiency of 14 to 15 kmpl in city and on highway its 18-20 kmpl in diesel
I at least couldn’t get it. Also mine wasn’t a fuel efficiency run. I also said it because we haven’t been getting good mileage in the Seltos diesel AT that I have been driving for over a month.
@@ICN Yes Yes exactly this. I have recently purchased Sonet Diesel AT. In city, I touch about 12 on Eco mode. In general the mileage is about 10-12 in city.

No one noticed that he's driving a turbo petrol varient of the Sonet. Look at the RPM range, its showing till 8k. For diesel it'll be only till 5k. And moreover look at the gear he's driving at D7 but diesel automatic is 6 speed Torque converter. And he's claiming that he's driving a diesel and complaining about the low fuel efficiency figues. Even the reviewer doesn't know that he's driving a turbo petrol varient.😂

I drove both. First a diesel, then the Turbo. The grey is diesel, the red one is petrol.
